I purchased a Jeep Wagoneer from this MotorCarsOnline location on December 8, and the situation has now been ongoing for nearly three months without being fully resolved. Shortly after leaving the dealership and beginning the drive home, the vehicle started displaying electrical warning lights and sensor alerts. The vehicle was also leaking oil due to a loose oil filter that had not been properly tightened. When I contacted the dealership about the warning lights, I was told in writing that they "knew what the issue was" and that they had already spoken with their service department about it. Despite that, the vehicle still required diagnostic work at a Jeep dealership to address the problem. There were also issues regarding the spare key. I was told in writing that the key would go out in that day's mail, but that never actually happened. After several weeks of follow-up it became clear the key had not been mailed. During the process of trying to resolve the missing key issue, a staff member even asked whether I would be willing to sign an NDA before they sent payment for the replacement key, which was surprising given the situation. Another major issue has been the warranty paperwork. The warranty was supposed to reflect commercial use with unlimited mileage and a $100 deductible, since the vehicle was purchased in my company's name and is used for work. However, the warranty was processed incorrectly and has required additional time and effort to correct. I have made multiple attempts to resolve these issues directly with the dealership, including speaking with the general manager, Mark, who informed me that the matter had been placed on Simone to handle. Despite that, I still have not received direct communication from Simone to finalize the remaining warranty correction. At this point, I am simply asking for the vehicle and warranty to reflect the terms originally agreed upon at purchase and for the remaining issues to be resolved. I hope the dealership will reach out so this situation can be resolved before I need to escalate the matter further. read more

Buyers beware!!! We recently picked up a used Jeep Wrangler from George over at Motorcars of Kalamazoo. First of all, we had to wait almost 2 weeks in order to get the vehicle because George said that it was getting detailed and inspected by their team. He told me that during the inspection their team found some issues with the brakes and steering which took several more days to get fixed. We ended up buying the vehicle and once we drove it home, that's when all of the issues began of course. Hitting a small bump caused the vehicle to pull tremendously. The ABS light turned on and the ABS started to engage while driving which is very unsafe. We live 90 minutes away and so I didn't want to drive it back to the dealership to have them look at it again for god knows how long, so I brought it into my trusted mechanic to have them take a look. They found that the vehicle had a broken tie rod in the front and another one that was extremely loose. The brakes in the rear were seized. The ABS sensors in the rear were not working and the rear axle had major damage and needed to be fully replaced. What was crazy is that all of the issues that were found were things that his team was supposedly working on for almost 2 weeks... I had my mechanic start fixing the issues and texted George to let him know about the damage that was found. He apologized and asked that I send him the bill afterwards so that they could help me out. I sent him the bill and they responded by saying that they aren't willing to do anything. Keep in mind this all happened within the first few days of owning the vehicle. So over $3,000 later, our vehicle is not road worthy. I would strongly encourage you to take your business elsewhere. These guys are shady and dishonest. George, you should be ashamed of yourself! read more

If your looking for a used car, look elsewhere. Me and my wife recently purchased a used car from them and the customer service was awful and continues to be awful. We were told on multiple occasions that they would 'call us right back' and never did, we had to call them back every time. Also, when we first looked at the vehicle and test drove it the low tire light was on. We informed them and they said they needed to take the car to Lansing to get it fixed and they never did any work to the vehicle other then putting air in the tire so they light would go off, just to come back on within a week of us driving it off the lot. They also, told us they had a spare key in the 'Lansing office' that would be 'dropped in the mail on Monday' (we bought the car on a Saturday) - we still have seen no spare key and every time we call they say 'we will look into it' - you either have it or you dont. Shady practices, horrible customer service. Go elsewhere to find your next vehicle, I know I will be. read more

Bought a car here. Car was sold without lock key for specialty lug nuts on wheels (purchased on Ebay- luckily discovered this before I got a flat), car required battery replacement within a few weeks, called 3/4 times for a second electronic key which was never provided, discovered a few months after purchase that the front right tire had damage/bulge which required replacement. Worst part - after 1.5 years of owning the car I noticed oil in my exhaust pipe. Turned out to be a fatal piston ring issue in the engine which would have required engine replacement. Sold the car at a loss. I did not contact the dealer after they jerked me around over a key for a month - figured that's all I needed to know about their responsiveness and handled the small issues myself. Bottom line - do yourself a favor and head over to a reputable dealership and get yourself a reliable car. Don't let the upscale Audis & BMWs on their lot confuse you, this is the perfect example of putting lipstick on a pig. read more

Motorcars of Kalamazoo and Motorcars Of Lansing have consistently had the best customer service experience I've ever witnessed. I've never had a salesman or the owner of the dealership treat me like family and take care of all of my needs and wants , But more importantly they knew my budget and it was less than I even thought it would be. I initially got there I checked over all their inventory and they didn't have the truck I wanted, That's when the owner got involved and said, No problem I'll go buy you what you want just give me 5-7 days and I'll have it here, I told him I wasn't sure if I was ready to buy just yet, He assured me that it was no big deal if didn't he says I promise you somebody else will buy it, I said ok and left,I got a call 5 days later the salesman said when can you come take your truck for test drive? Shocked to say the least was my reaction it took them only 5 days to buy,service,detail and have the truck parked in front of the dealership ready for me to take a test drive, Impressive I thought, Took one look at it and it was exactly the truck I wanted with all the options I asked for,I was extremely impressed with the owners attention to detail.(John) I strongly recommend if you're in the market for a pre-owned vehicle don't hesitate to go in and give these professionals who are experienced experts a shot to capture your business because they will by going above and beyond. Avoid Motorcars at All Costs I wasn't going to write a review until I saw that they were rated five stars which is undeserved. I bought a vehicle from them in 2015, when I showed up to make a down payment on the 2006 Cadillac CTS, they raised the price by $2000 due to "work on the engine" they had allegedly done before. This should have been my first red flag but I continued with the purchase anyway. The sunroof in the vehicle did not work but I was told if I brought the car in and left it, they would have it fixed. Three separate occasions I brought the vehicle in to have it fixed, and they never fixed it, only made it worse and created a hole in the headliner. I decided it wasn't worth the effort and decided to deal with it. On a trip back from Detroit, not 4 months after we bought the vehicle, the timing chain snapped and I was left stranded in Jackson at 2 in the morning. The "extended warranty" company they work with and convinced us to buy, took over a month to come and inspect the vehicle and approve a repair, and refuse the full engine repair that the vehicle needed. After two months of not having the car, we finally received it back with a repair bill of $2000. Avoid these people at all costs, they only care about making money and will screw you over as soon as you walk on the lot. read more
