After reading all the great fantastic reviews on yelp and seeing all the super nice rice rockets and cars that are always parked outside the shop, I figured why not give this place a try. I Came here to have the tires that I ordered from TireRack installed and alignment. Work was completed in about an hour. The guy behind the counter took his time and went over all the specifics on the adjustment on my alignment. On a separate occasion, I brought my car in to have my AC replaced. The job took 2 days since one of the parts had to be special ordered, which I didn't mind at all. Kin was on top of the communication to let me know what was going on with my repair. A day after the AC install, I noticed the air wasn't blowing any cold air, so I gave Kin a call and brought the car back for a checkup. Almost 6 hours later I received a call to let me know that my car was ready for pick up. Kin was very apologetic and went over the specifics on what work was performed; one of the sealant went bust. Normally I would have been peeved on having to bring back my car for something that was just repaired/installed, but Kin and his crews as other yelpers have noted are honest, informative and professional, unlike so many other car repair shops out there, where you feel like you need to take a hot shower right after talking to some of these guys to wash off the filth that you feel. Sure the repair took longer than anticipated, but overall, I value honesty over being hassled to with overpriced repair work. So glad I found this place, will definitely return to this place for all of my car repair needs. read more

Most people know Motorsports Techniques from being around for a while and their quality work on imports, but they also work on American cars. I recently had my Chevy Silverado SS lowered by Motorsport Techniques and they did a great job. Of course they are not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. The last couple times I used Motorsport Techniques was to install new tires. Both times took way longer than expected. If this had been my only experience with them I probably would have given 2 stars however they have been good in the past. Both my recent visits were on of those "your car will be ready in 30 min" that turned into 2 hours kind of jobs. First time I think they were just really busy. Second time they took a long time because they damaged my wheel and ended up spending time trying to fix it. The damage wasn't too bad and to be fair they were honest about it and offered some solutions, but I decided to live with the damage rather than go to the hassle of getting it fixed. I would use them again but not for installing tires on really nice wheels and I would be prepared to wait a while. I have switched to Calderon for tire install and they are good. read more

The staff here are legit. They're knowledgeable, friendly, and they're around on Saturdays! I needed to get a 40k service (which included replacing the transmission fluid) on my VW GTI, and I needed to find a place that was open on Saturdays, as I couldn't take time off during the week. I told em ok just sign me up for an alignment at 3pm. i went home and came back a little before 3pm and they were ready to work on my car. it took more or less 30minutes and i was informed that my car is ready. I have been a loyal customer with MT for 5+ years. Over the years I have brought many of the family's cars here for various types of work from oil changes to alignments, brake jobs, to wheel rotations. The people working here such as Ron & Kin keeps it real with the prices and gives you quotes that are way more reasonable than what the dealers will charge you for similar work done. The shop is small and sometimes they can get busy so the wait time can fluctuate when its very busy. But they usually do a good job getting you in and out. I know Jack the alignment tech since forever, and hes one of the most hardworking honest techs to do alignment work for you. I expect to have Motorsport Techiques service all my family vehicles (4 cars!) for the near future. Oh and they don't differentiate between imports and domestics. Went here to get the alignment done on my 2006 Mini Cooper S after seeing all the great reviews and reading about this place on Bimmer Forums. I was really pleased at the fast service, the professional staff, and the reasonable prices. My alignment ended up being just fine so they knocked $30 off. They changed the oil and diagnosed a sensor problem I'm going to fix in a couple months. No fee for this diagnosis which I really appreciated. The dealer wanted $100 just to do a simple scan! I was calling around for a 4-wheel alignment for the '06 BMW 325i as it had new tires mounted the day before. Motorsport Techniques was the 3rd place I called -- it should have been the 1st and only place I called. I spoke with Din, he took my name, the car info and said he would see me about 90 minutes later. I got to the shop, talked with Din who remembered the conversation with me and got the car in with Jack. Jack was done 45 minutes later, I paid Din and I took the car down the street. Whatever adjustments Jack did made a huge difference in the feel of the car. Kudo's Jack -- super job. Price wise -- competitive for sure and I have a total of 3 quotes from some of the other local shops to compare the price to. I will be back here with all my cars for alignments and other maintenance. If you are going to be dropping off the car and waiting -- there is a Jack in the Box next door you can walk to. If the car needs to stay you are about 15-30 minutes walking distance from the Southland Mall area. Just depends on how fast you want to walk. I will come back. read more

I had called in a couple of days before making an appt for a quote to get my coilovers installed and to get an alignment done. I wont say names but I was originally quoted a price at another location and when I called back to make an appt and confirm cost, it suddenly jumped to a few hundreds. (forget you!) Back to MT. I bought my car in for the work to be done. Kin greeted us and quickly did the paper work for the car to get worked on. The car was then taken in and they quickly started on it. I'm not sure how long it usually take to finish this type of work but though I waited for quite some time for the car to finish up. Kin occasionally came in the waiting area and asked if we needed anything. I was worried that they wouldn't be able to get the alignment done due to time, but they stayed after business hours to finish up the car. Overall my experience here was today was great. Friendly staff! Called in Saturday morning to make an alignment appointment. I was surprised they were able to squeeze me in the same day. Alignment with camber adjustment was kind of pricey compared to other ships but since my car is slammed it's hard to find shops in the area who will take care and work with your car. This place specializes in repairs and mods for regular cars to sports cars. They have several real nice imports sitting around that belong to the shop or employees: RX-7s, Skylines, Sylvias, etc. I am very picky about my S2000 but these guys know their stuff. MAKE SURE you call ahead and book an appointment because they get busy. Things I've gotten done here: tires installed on my powder coated wheels, exhaust install, alignment. My car is pretty slammed and they only charge an extra $10 on alignments for lowered cars. I am very happy with the service, quality of work and professionalism here. Great service. Short wait. Knowledgeable staff. Great prices. Came in about a month ago to get my coilovers installed and have them adjusted. They did an excellent job and even let me go into their work area to make sure it was as low as i wanted. They aligned it perfectly and my car drives straighter than when i took it off the car lot. The waiting lounge is also entertaining. They have a widescreen tv, an array of wheels to drool over, as well as magazines and brochures you can look through while you wait. This place is small and honestly was hard to find the first time. I'd say it's hidden in plain sight. The lowered cars in the front gave it away. These guys are about as honest as they come and didn't hesitate to text about updates on my car and walk me through everything they did in the end. The communication I got through them made me feel good about having chose this place to get the work done. On a side note, two of the times I was in the shop I started talking to the other guys waiting for their cars to finish up. Both guys said the same thing, they wouldn't go anywhere else to get work done on their cars. One guy comes from Pittsburg and the other was from Serramonte. The fact that both those guys were from further away than me and had nothing but good things to say about the people and the shop in general was a great sign! I believe MT specializes in Euros and performance cars, but all my visits with my scion tc have been for regular stuff. I've gotten a tire patch here and also had all 4 tires changed, the services are for a reasonable price, especially for the great work that's being done. No horror stories of people losing lugs because of a bolt a mechanic forgot to tighten or anything of the sort here. I went here to get my tires installed. I ordered my tires online from Tire Rack and had them delivered directly to the store. (Very nice feature!) Their installation prices were very reasonable and were listed directly on Tire Rack's website, so there aren't any "hidden fees". Also a nice feature. When the tires arrived at the store, I called (or they called me) to make an appt. When I arrived for my appt, the guy at the front desk was very nice and courteous. They had me out in about an hour, with 4 brand new tires, installed and balanced. This service was done about 3 months ago and I haven't had any issues with the tires. Couldn't ask for anything more. Bonus -- their store has free wi-fi, so it kept me nicely occupied while I waited for my car. read more

My g/f had surprised me a few months ago hooking my car up with a set of tein coilovers, ichiba camber kit, stillen sway bars, and an install on my hks hipower exhaust on my LR G35 that i had just purchased. They had given a great deal on the parts, the install, and the allignment (i saw the invoice when everything was all set and done). The guy at the front counter was pretty nice, I have nothing bad to say about the people working here, only about the guy who I called twice, once the night before and once the day of, I simply asked if I could bring by my C6 corvette for some exhaust work and the guy told me over the phone that he was busy today and to call back around 12 the next day, so the next day comes and I call n he said he is busy but I could bring it by at 1pm and they would get to work on it, I show up at 12:45 and they guy at the front counter "the only guy that answers the phone" and he says he never got a call from someone with a corvette, but when I dialed the number again the phone in his hand started to ring, but he claims he never told me to swing by, wasted half of my day and the guy just kept repeating himself n I did half of the work myself and all they had to do was bolt on the new exhaust, no sympathy that I had took time away from my family and work today just so I can have the work done by them, I was basically baited. Make sure you get a name when you call this place. Complete garbage excuses. read more
