I actually did not try the Ramen, but both of the people I was with really loved it. I noticed that they have a lot of options, including Tom Yum and tom kha which I find very unique and I love that! They also allow you to choose from different types of noodles and they have a thick Ramen noodle, which looked so good The edamame was the best garlic edamame I've had in my entire life! But the calamari rings were a little tough and kind of underwhelming I got their crispy pork rice bowl, and the pork was everything you could ever want in crispy pork belly. It was juicy on the inside and super crispy on the outside without being burnt. However , the sauce that came with was really weird for this particular dish. I'm used to eating the Vietnamese version which comes with a salty thin brown sauce usually but this version came with a creamy almost garlic, aïoli type of sauce, and I thought it overpowered the pork too much I also got their crunch roll and there was way too much vinegar, so that was actually pretty disappointing I still like the food enough to want to return to try the Ramen next time, though! Motto Ramen is an okay ramen restaurant that serves decent ramen and mid sushi. Three of us got the Shoyu Ramen, which we enjoyed. On the plus side, they are generous with their pork chashu and the toppings are good. Their broth flavor was okay, not super outstanding, but not bad. I ordered the salmon sashimi and the quality was average. It wasn't the best salmon, but just okay. We also got one of the build your own ramen bowls with pork tonkatsu broth, classic noodles, beef rib eye, and green onions. I didn't try this but the person that ate this seemed the like it. Service was a little below average. Our waitress seemed very quiet, tired, and lacked energy. I also had to remind her several times for items requested. Haven't been here in a while. Decided to stop by before going to Hmart. We've always ordered the Ramen here. Saw there were more items added to their menu. I was surprised to see Pad Thai, been craving it. I wasn't sure how it would taste because it's not a Thai restaurant. I thought.. what the heck, lets try it. Surprisingly it was pretty good. this place could easily be overlooked in an otherwise busy shopping center. a lot of the restaurants and eateries are closer to the street, while motto ramen is tucked in the back near target. my husband chose this as a dinner spot for a little saturday date and it was very good. we can in around 7:45 and had no problem finding a seat. there was plenty of tables and booths that were slowly filling as our evening progressed. there are a lot of great offerings across their menu that could accommodate so many different types of palettes. there are many preset ramen dishes as well as build your own feature, an extensive sushi menu, a variety of appetizers, rice bowls, noodle bowls, and curry dishes. we shared a deep friend shumai appetizer that came with a bed of shredded cabbage and carrots and a sweet ponzu dipping sauce. these were excellent! very freshly fried, juicy, and flavorful. i was (and am always) craving something soupy and hot, and i was excited to see a tom yum and a tom kha on the preset menu. i ordered the tom kha with udon noodles a side of crispy pork. the pork was exceptionally crispy and crackly. i found it was even more delicious when dipped into the spiced coconut broth of my ramen. it was also really good with the curry sauce in my husbands dish. my husband ordered the pork katsu curry plate. the menu item says "homemade curry sauce with carrot and potato" next to a photo of the dish with those vegetables. the dish arrived without any vegetables and that was disappointing. the rice and curry were very good, the pork was nice and thin, but the panko was a little heavy and again, the vegetables were very missed. for dessert, i encouraged my husband to try the crepe cake (which he fell in love with) and i opted for the yuzu cheesecake. the yuzu cheesecake had a great creamy texture but i couldn't taste the yuzu. even though there were some negative aspects, i would definitely come back here. we're looking forward to trying more of their menu. read more

Motto ramen is located in the plaza with target. There was plenty of parking. Got seated right away. They serve ramen and sushi. They had a build your own noodle and you can choose from different broths, noodles, and toppings. I did the spicy miso with tsukemen noodles. The broth was delicious but it was waaaay too spicy. I told our server and she gave me a small bowl of regular miso broth. It definitely helped, but still spicy. Next time I will be asking for mild. This time they didn't ask what spicy level. I'm not sure if tsukemen noodles are usually like this, but the noodles were hard. I would have liked them to be a bit softer. I got chicken chashu as my protein. It had a good miso flavor! I hate that I have to give lower stars, but I cannot give this place a 5 review. I'd give it 1 but the manager was nice so I will add 1 extra for kindness. We went for ramen. Red Flag 1) the waitress saw us sit down and gave menus to the party who came in after us Red Flag 2) the waitress asked us if we would like anything to drink and we ordered water. It took her forever to bring it Red Flag 3) The party next to our booth found hair in her soup and we flagged down someone for her, because gross! Red Flag 4) Husband asked her if the sashimi was ahi and she said we only have tuna and salmon. Ahi IS Tuna. Red Flag 5) The waitress pulled a crumpled piece of receipt paper out of her pocket to write our order on Neither of us finished our ramen. I had pork ramen and it had corn in it and what tasted like chicharrones rather than cuts of katsu pork. It was salty and the chicharrone-like things were fatty and turned my stomach. Tonkotsu ramen doesn't typically have corn in it! Husband had chashu pork soup and his soup was extremely sweet. For the first time ever, husband did not finish his food and he did not leave a gratuity, which is unusual for someone raised in Polynesia...they eat and eat. When the manager walked by to ask us if we wanted to-go bowls for our food, we both declined, which is also unusual. He asked husband in private what was wrong, and husband said, "It was too sweet. Not the way I am used to. Maybe it's different back home." Husband's sashimi was the wrong style of cut, or at least what he's used to. Being a person who went to culinary school, husband said it tasted low-grade. They didn't have spicy mustard and they didn't even know what that was. So he just asked for wasabi and ginger. i've been to motto ramen a few times, but during my last visit i got a dish that i loved the flavors of so much! motto ramen is located in a big plaza alongside target, hmart, daiso, and chick fil a. it's a decent size restaurant that doesn't get too busy. they have a wide selection on their menu (ramen and non ramen items). i opted for the tom kha ramen with crispy pork and no bean sprouts. the tom kha flavor was perfect! the crispy pork was also delicious and reminded me of the crispy pork belly you would get a supermarket. i would say the noodle portion was a bit small compared to other ramen shops. motto ramen is for sure a place i would visit again and again for their tom kha ramen :) read more

Hands down still my favorite ramen! Even though I think they changed hands awhile back, they still serve the same ramen and added MANY items to the previously small menu. I get the "Moto Black" which is filled with Black Garlic oil, bean sprouts, egg and woodear mushrooms... DELICIOUS!! Tonight I tried the new version of pork bun. They have two kinds. The new option is fried and crispier, but after trying it, I prefer the regular. Frying is crispier, but also tends to be drier. Both made with their exceptional pork belly which melts in your mouth. (Not a fan of thin pork in most ramen). This pork belly is AMAZING. Very flavorful and cooked to perfection! Their fried rice is normally over the top, with the same pork belly, shredded. You are given two menus: sushi and the rest of it. Sushi is not all you can eat. You can choose selected ramen or build your own ramen, where extra $1 can make it spicy Order the chicken pad-Thai and the motto special. Chicken pad Thai is very moist and the plating is clean, and gorgeous. Motto special plus spicy bowl spicy is little small but it rewards in taste. THIS PLACE HIT THE SPOT!!! It is a hidden gem! We've been looking for a legit ramen place in the area and this definitely satisfied our cravings. We ordered The Shoyu, Motto Red, and Motto Black and everything was spectacular. It is at par with the best ramen places in the OC for sure. The ingredients were fresh, the chasu pork was chefs kiss and it is marinated perfectly (not too thin and not too thick). Service was quick and the young gentleman was very attentive of our needs the moment we walked in. You have really good customer service skills at that age!
