Amazing! Added to my new favorites. The fish was amazing quality and their rolls are great blends of flavors.

I came looking for sushi and accidentally found a hidden gem. Fish was fresh, portions were generous, and everything disappeared from my plate way too fast. Small, cozy spot with great service. Definitely coming back

Empty sushi plate and use chopsticks - the sign of a DELICIOUS meal that was so good I forgot to take a photo of the food, haha

Sushi Plus is a true gem! The food is always fresh and delicious, and the customer service is something special. It has that small-town warmth that makes you feel like family every time you walk through the door. The restaurant is quaint and always clean. The location has great natural air flow and a very calm, sweet decoration style. I feel very comfortable coming in work clothes or casual attire. (But most often come for the more casual vibe.) As someone with celiac disease, finding a place that takes gluten-free dining seriously can be hard--but Karen, Yukon, and the whole team go above and beyond. They remember my dietary needs, take every precaution they can, and I have gotten sick. I always feel safe eating here, and that peace of mind means everything. (Of course there's always a slight risk as they aren't a dedicated GF facility.) ((Did I mention the food is delicious?!)) Thank you for your continued care, kindness, and amazing food! My husband and I look forward to our weekly dinner date nights here. **pic of an empty plate because it was SO good I didn't remember to take a pic beforehand ‍

I grew up in this area and always passed by but never tried it. Well I'm glad I finally did! Top notch customer service. Waiters make you feel so welcomed and are genuine about it. The garlic edamame was addicting. I got the crabby roll which was tasty. I also got tuna and salmon sushi. While the rice was kinda hard and not soft, the fish was fresh and was a good cut. The cucumber salad was refreshing. I love the traditional "back to basics" feel here, nothing too fancy like newer sushi spots. It's small and homey here. This will be my new go-to place for sushi!

Tasty Crunch Washington and Garlic Soybeans for the win.

My go-to sushi restaurant. Such a welcoming environment. My wife and I felt welcome from the first time we visited and continue to feel that each time we visit. Plenty of tasty sushi options with conscious staff of preferences and allergies. Somewhere you definitely should stop by and try.

Crunch Washington was perfect and the Hawaiian was so fresh and palate-cleansing

I've moved out of the area but just happened to be in town and was in the mood for great food and service. Still top tier quality! I was something of a regular before and I was greeted warmly. Ordered the cucumber salad to start then ordered the Washington, Hawaiian, Crunch Washington and baked lobster roll. OMG all so good! I miss this perfect little sushi place!

Is this place offer 'all you can eat sushi' ? Yelp search doesn't help much. I type 'all you can eat sushi' 9 out of 10 business pop up doesn't offer it , so I have to ask you…

No, they do not offer "all you can eat" sushi. BUT, they have some of the best prices and the largest specialty rolls of anyplace else I have eaten! Great value, great quality and great service.

Did they close? Not open today, 12/14. :(

That said, the people were super nice in both places. You can tell it happens often. We went right as it opened, and we got seated right away. The menu is via a QRC on the table. We ordered 3 things - vongole pasta. Previously they offered it uni but this one had claims and shrimp. We also got the pesto and the calamari. Calamari was crispy but it also was slightly too salty and seemed to be a lot of batter. The calamari pieces were small. The pesto pasta was okay, but the pesto wasn't the traditional pesto. I couldn't put my finger on it but it must've been the dashi. The udon was cooked well though. Soft, definitely not al dente. This vongole was the biggest miss. It had a taste that we also couldn't figure out, but it was not enjoyable to eat. We left the meal very dissatisfied. The friend I went with, who has gone before, also agreed it was disappointing. As someone who hates to waste food, we were very close to leaving nearly half of each dish there. My friend ended up taking it back. Later that evening, we both were feeling off. Idk, perhaps it was a coincidence. In the end, it was a truly sad experience.

Yet, we were seated right away. We ordered two types of ramen and the ramen flavors are similar, with slight variations. When I got back to work in Santa Ana and opened my bag around 2:30 p.m., my ramen had NO NOODLES. It was literally just broth and toppings. I called the restaurant expecting a simple apology and a reasonable solution. Instead, the manager would not even speak to me directly and chose to communicate through a waiter the entire time, which made the situation even more frustrating. We went back and forth multiple times with the waiter acting as the middleman. First, they told me I could come back and pick up the missing noodles. That was not realistic. I was already back at work, and it takes me about 25 minutes to get from Fountain Valley to Santa Ana. Driving all the way back for a side of noodles made no sense. So I asked for what seemed like the easiest and most reasonable solution: a complimentary bowl of ramen on my next visit. Instead, I was told no, but they could give me "extra noodles" next time. Extra noodles next time? What exactly was that supposed to do for me when I was sitting there hungry with no actual ramen to eat that day? Then the manager, again through the waiter, said she would personally drive noodles to my job. I even told them that did not make sense because by the time she got there, it would be around 4:30 p.m. At that point, my lunch break would be long over, the ramen would be cold, and all of it would be a waste of my time, her time, restaurant resources, and gas. But I agreed, because at that point it was obvious they really did not want to simply offer me a free bowl of ramen on my next visit. And to be clear, I was not asking for some huge free meal. I was asking to be compensated for the ramen I already paid good money for and did not even receive correctly. For how expensive ramen is, that should not have been a difficult ask. About 10 minutes later, the waiter called back and said the manager would give me a free bowl of ramen next time I came in, which was the exact solution I had suggested from the start. I can only assume she realized how far the drive was and how unnecessary and impractical that solution would have been. Mistakes happen. Forgetting the noodles was one thing. But the way this was handled was unnecessarily difficult, inconvenient, and honestly kind of absurd. I did not ask for a refund. I was looking for an apology and some common-sense customer service. Instead, I got a lot of back-and-forth and a manager who would not even speak to me directly. Kudos to the waiter for doing their best to mediate the situation. Even they thought the situation could of been handled differently by the manager. Very disappointing experience. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place to others based on how this situation was handled.

I would definitely recommend putting your name on the Yelp waitlist before arriving to reduce the wait time. By doing that, we were promptly seated right after checking in with the hostess. Even though if you are seated at the bar, you won't interact with the chefs as they only process the order through the servers. So I would recommend to forego the sushi bar and get seated at the table which is more comfortable. As for the food, the place offered the usual fare and your typical nigiri and rolls. The fish was ok, with nothing to really wow you. The uni (sea urchin) nigiri is a little dated and was not that fresh. If your preferences are rolls instead of nigiri, then there are quite more selection with the majority of the rolls are the typical california rolls, topped with various types of fish, shrimp, crawfish, etc. and an abundance of mayo sauce. Overall, I would say it's a decent place for a regular night out for sushi, but nothing to really wow you. One note... I did not realize the server accidentally overcharged the dinner bill until I went home and took a look of the receipt. I did call the following day to inform them, and the manager, Daniel, was happy to adjust the bill to the correct amount, and in addition, gave me a $20 gift card for the inconvenience.
