We had a very good experience here. We came a few minutes after they opened on a Saturday and sat down right away which was good since it started to get busy as we were there. The servers were very nice and attentive. The ambiance is nice a bit on the darker side with plenty of tables in different sections. The food was delicious and fresh and came out fairly quickly. The all you can eat aspect is really fun especially for the price. We definitely got our moneys worth. Definitely will be back in the future!

It's affordable and taste good. Lots of simple choices! I would recommend especially if you need a decent sushi place.

Honestly so disappointing. My family and I have frequented this restaurant so many times and this time we truly had the worst experience here. The owner was so rude. My mom simply asked if there was a way to take home leftovers if we couldn't finish the food. the owner came to the table and laughed at us saying they would charge us for every piece left over. She then proceeded to tell us that we had a lot of food on our plates and that she was going to charge us even though we hadn't even finished eating. I asked the owner if we could get some napkins and she proceeded to give us one napkin for the whole table to share because she thought we were going to hide the food in it. My mom then asked her again for more napkins and every time she came around. She glanced over at our table and was counting what we had left. Our server was nice until she wasn't, towards the end I asked her for the check and I asked her if the owner wanted to come around to our table yet again to count what we had left over and she said it was fine. I asked her if we were going to get the dessert that comes with the food and she went to go ask the owner if we were allowed the ice cream, she then proceeds to walk away and serve us the tiniest portion of ice cream, she threw it at our table and walked away. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Be advised that if you eat here they will count every single piece of rice left over.

Maru Sushi is located in a large strip mall and has lots of available parking spaces. We went on a Tuesday evening and were able to park right in front of the entrance. It was kind of slow and there were only three or four tables occupied including ours. I would say this is more of a basic sushi restaurant as they don't have a lot of what I would call premium items that my normal sushi place does. We had various nigiri, hand rolls, a few cut rolls, and some shrimp tempura. Everything was good and none of the fish was fishy at all. The carpaccio plate went a little overboard on the toppings. Our server was great and I think one of the owners was also keeping an eye on everything. Our orders came out at an ok pace. The preparation area is a little on the smaller side there were only two sushi chefs. If the restaurant was busy, I would suspect things might get a little slow but maybe they have more chefs on the weekend. I would eat here again when in the area, but I will stick to my number one place.

Maru sushi strikes again with a terrific all you can eat sushi experience! This place has been a go to of mine for years and for good reason. The quality of the sushi is great. You want rolls? You got it. You want nigiri? Say less! My favorite was the salmon nigiri and baked rolls but everything was fantastic! Service was also really good. Servers were attentive and never missed a beat. Food came out in a timely manner as well. Plenty of parking outside as it is located in a large strip mall. Restaurant was nice and clean. Would definitely keep coming back!

This place is a gem and a must try the next time you're in the mood for sushi in Westminister! The sushi and tonkatsu were amazing and paired so well with the ice cold glass of Kirin. The prices are so reasonable and if you are really hungry, they even have an all you can eat option. My family and I will definitely be coming back again soon!

We've come here a bunch of times and food is always great. The miso soup can be salty from time to time but the sashimi and rolls are always taste fresh and delicious. Service was quick. Didn't have to wait long after placing the order. Clean and has music playing in the background, not overly loud. We just ordered a couple items since it was 50% dine in/ to-go.

Best sushi in CA. There is no beating this place. I've been coming here for 10+ years. I've tried others in the area and none compare. I now live in murrietta and have tried sushi out there. Nothing compares, when I come back this way for dinner this is always a treat. Only place that was remotely as good was Kiki's back in the late 90's but they've been gone for almost 2 decades. The OG locals know. This is the best sushi in CA that won't cost you a mortgage payment. I stand by that!

They didn't check in with us to let us know the dishes were going to be delayed. We had to ask for an update after 40 minutes and they only told us then that there was only one sushi chef at that time. The restaurant had maybe 6 covers at the time and a couple of them already had food. Another group with the same amount of people came after us and received a sushi roll we had also ordered before we had gotten a single rice roll. I called over a server with lashes and a pony tail saying "Hi, I wanted to know what the priority is for the kitchen as it took 40 minutes for us to receive the couple dishes we had but the other table who came after us received a roll we ordered as well." Mind you that table had received all of their ramens and had been eating. I told her I completely understand the hot food is a different person and I had absolutely no problem with them receiving the ramen, but why did we not get priority for that roll? She didn't apologize for the wait and had a very blunt/rude way of speaking to us. When I was mid sentence, she walked away to pull our original server. However, even though she walked around the corner I was still able to hear her tell the other server quite loudly what was happening. Our server was extremely professional and apologized for the delay and reiterated the delay in you the kitchen. I told her I completely understand there was a delay but if she had told us while we were making our order that the sushi items may be delayed due to being understaffed, we would have changed our order to have more hot foods. I also told her I wanted to speak to a shift lead at that point because the server with the lashes walking away mid sentence was one of the rudest things I've experienced at a restaurant. The manager apologized and it still ended up taking another hour for all the food to come out and they still forgot the last two rolls we needed. We had to remind them we were still waiting on the rolls. One of the rolls was the roll given to the table that started the whole thing. We literally spent $500 for a bad two hour and fifteen minute experience. They also didn't refill drinks until an hour and a half in. My family and I spend at least $500 each time we go here and suffice to say, we aren't coming back.

The price for AYCE is $37.95 which is pretty fair, it included limited special items such as sashimi, sweet shrimp, jumbo scallop, amberjack, salmon belly, and more. Although the special items were limited, having one of each is enough given the large variety on the menu. (Pro tip, come with a big group of friends so you can have the pieces from those who don't want their portion) Everything was super fresh and the presentation was beautiful. You can tell the chef puts a lot of effort into every plate. My favorite items were the salmon belly, sweet shrimp sushi, and baked green mussels. So buttery and delicious! We ended our meal with the fried banana ice cream. I thought the fried banana would be heavy after a big meal, but it didn't feel that way at all. It was yummy, creamy and refreshing. It's hard not to feel heavy after having ayce but luckily we ordered just the right amount of everything! The restaurant is small but offers a good amount of seating from tables to a sushi bar and even a small patio. The parking lot is small since it shares a parking lot with a few other businesses, but i've never had a problem finding parking here. The service was absolutely amazing and genuinely made our entire dining experience better, our server Stella and Chef Min were the best!
