I finally stopped into MOTW to try some pastries with Meg M! It was a great experience from beginning to end. The cafe is adorable, I love the murals and the art work. It was also really clean. Will was working and helped us pick out some pastries and drinks. He was SO helpful and efficient. He was the only one working and it was pretty busy, and there was never a line of people waiting! He handled it like a pro and was still so engaging with every customer. He made some great suggestions, I am especially happy we go to try the croissant cinnamon roll! We also had the honeycomb bread which was one of the best pastries! We had the viral fruit mousse pastries and some others too. We each tried an empanada too, I had the samosa one which was SO good and dairy free. My friend had a tasty latte and I had a sparkling refresher. I can't wait to come back for coffee and more pastries!

Visited today with our Rhode Island food fights, iced coffee coupons, and I am so glad to have discovered this wonderful café in PVD. Service was super friendly and efficient. A young woman with the first initial M took our order and was happy to explain all of the different types of iced coffee to us and she recommended pastries as well. This was really helpful as we weren't familiar with some of the menu items. We both got Spanish decaf coffee, which had sweetened condensed milk and cinnamon. It was so delicious and creamy with great flavor, but not overly sweet. For pastry, we got a honeycomb bread, which was served warm and was amazing. We also got a pistachio birds nest, which was delicious as well. This café is clean, beautifully decorated, and bright with large windows overlooking Empire Street. Is comfortable for meeting with a friend to chat, or for working. So glad to have discovered this place today and we will definitely be back.

The snacks and drinks are all delicious. I will say that if you don't like things too sweet, this joint is not for you. The coffee drinks are super sweet. My friend really loved them. I'll stick to the empanadas! Service was super friendly, dining room is gorgeous and inviting, and parking is available on street. Nice new spot!

Wasn't sure what to expect because I didn't really read reviews ahead of time like I usually do but I knew I wanted to try it. I'm glad I did. They had a good variety of coffees, lattes, etc. I got a latte and it was really good! They have plenty of seating if I wanted to stay awhile and plenty of parking too.

Great ambiance and location near PPAC. Really enjoyed their caramel avalanche latte and Dulce de leche milk cake! They also have halal empanadas and Arabic specialties which is unique! Only downside is there is no off street parking except for paid lots.

Stopped in here on my way home around 12:30. It was very quiet, but welcoming. I got the spinach empanada with a siracha aioli. It was delicious! I also ordered a cookie iced latte. They had so many flavor options. I would definitely come back again!

It was hard to make a decision, but I went with a croissant stuffed with chocolate, fresh strawberries and whipped cream, while my friend went with the Chocolate Mousse Santiago tart. Let me just say, that both were rich, high quality, perfectly prepared, and amazing. I really don't think you could go wrong with anything you order here. I wasn't in the mood for coffee, but my friend enjoyed a nice cup of hot tea. At first I thought the prices were a little high, but after I considered the high quality of the ingredients anad the generous sizing, I think their prices are right on target. The cafe eating area is spacious and is perfect for conversations or quiet work. The entire cafe is super clean and the employees were friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back!

I ordered an apple tart and a small piece was $7.50! Yes, it was good, and the cream was wonderful, but paying about $2 per bite is outrageous. The value of their drinks might be a little better. I ordered a Cortado and it was delicious. The volume of liquid wasn't too low. $4.25 I would give it 3 stars, but I know not everyone is good with money and many are willing to pay these prices on the east side Providence. The staff was nice, but nothing over the top.

The snow made street parking a bit tricky, but thankfully there are a few parking spaces in the back of the building. Once inside, the bakery was lively and smelled absolutely delicious. There was a great selection of fresh artisan breads to choose from. I ended up with the durum loaf, which was perfect since I planned to make an olive oil dipping sauce. The bread was exactly what I hoped for crusty on the outside, soft on the inside, airy with a mix of large and small holes, and full of flavor. I also couldn't resist picking up two Valentine heart sugar cookies with jam because they were just too cute. The only minor downside was that the employee who helped me wasn't very smiley. Not rude at all, and my order was handled quickly, but it felt a bit different from the warm cafe vibe you might expect. Prices are higher than if you went to a mom and pop bakery but this was expected. Overall, a great stop for quality bread.

That's saying a lot because I have sampled many, many croissants. The Yum roll was melt-in-your- mouth delicious with the perfect balance of sweet with a hint of salt, crunchy around the edges and topped with a delightful creamy drizzle of caramel. The plain croissants were perfectly fluffy and flaky. The almond square was pure heaven with a deep almond flavored frangipane surrounded by crunchy layers. The bakery itself is really cute. What a sweet little experience this was!…read more With short notice, I needed a cake with a custom message on it. I called LaSalle Bakery first to ask if they had blank cakes & the ability to customize them quickly & they said yes. So I headed over to LaSalle on Smith Street. When I arrived (at around 2 PM) it was so busy! The line was long, the tables were full, & it was very noisy. The staff seemed very young to me, but they were working with such professionalism & efficiency, it made them appear older. When I reached the front of the line, the young man talked me through the cake options very kindly & thoroughly, not allowing the potential stress of the long line behind me get to him. The cake options were varied & fun. The difference between a medium cake & a large cake was only a matter of $5 ($45 vs. $50) so I of course opted for the larger cake. It provided more room for the message I wanted to request, also. A different staff member took my cake to the back to customize it. I caught glimpses of her hard at work from where I stood waiting. It took her about 5-8 minutes to customize the cake, & when she returned, I was so impressed with her handiwork. She squeezed a very long message into a relatively small space & the script was still beautiful! I couldn't eat the cake because I'm gluten intolerant, LOL! But it was a great hit at my party & the people that I shouted out in the writing on top were thrilled with the result. I would definitely return for a customized cake again in the future.
