financier

Just okay. I came for a quick pastry and it was all ready to go. The sandwiches looked good for a grab and go. I got the coffee eclair and chocolate chip financier. Eclair pastry was surprisingly salty. Their financier was okay. The passion black iced tea was good! Nothing special. They said there was no option for flavorings for their latte. Don't understand the hype. Maybe I didn't get the right desserts.

Love this spot! Pastries, desserts and entrees are amazing, the coffee is delicious and authentic. Service is fantastic. The shop itself is super cute and has French and other gooodies for sale inside. Indoor and outdoor dining spaces.Enjoy your food there or drive to the Dana Point Harbor super close by(:

Variety of items to satisfy any craving. We always make sure to have breakfast here anytime we are in the area. They have a various savory breakfast items as well as sandwiches and sweet deserts. We had the egg and croissant sandwich, omelette with herbs and a couple of baked items. They were all very delicious. The omelette came with a mixed green salad and toast. Raisin danish was on point, just the right amount of sweetness. The croissant wasn't the best I ever had but still very good. Service was very efficient but I wish they were a little more friendlier especially the cashier. Perhaps it was because they were busy at the time. Plenty of tables outside and a few inside. Overall a nice ambience. Will definitely be back again on our next visit to the area.

Really adorable and delicious bakery and cafe! My partner and I went out for a drive and ended up here. He knows what nurtures my soul....sun and sweets! With that said...my mille fleur was delicious and the price point wasn't bad at all! His flan was enjoyable, but I prefer sweet over just about anything. Everything is baked fresh- you can tell. Staff was friendly and the line moves quickly even on a busy Saturday morning around 11am. There's indoor and outdoor seating. It's very casual. Order at the counter. They'll give you a table number. They bring it out. When we're in the area, you better believe I'm stopping by for another mille fleur!

Antoine and his entire staff are wonderful. Food is fresh and delicious- we frequent them often! Wish they had a loyalty program!

This Moulin location at Dana Point was as beautiful as the city itself and we love that there is also a great selection of baked goods, sandwiches, salads, beverages like coffees and juices, home goods like the charming ceramic bowls straight from France and much more, and even French grocery items, here as well. The staff is very professional and full of positive energy. The tables outside are set in a picturesque environment with lots of flowers, some butterflies, and breathtaking views. A great asset to Dana Point!

It's a small bakery and outdoor seating. The OJ was fresh squeezed and the iced latte was amazing. The croissant sandwich was good and comes with salad. The omelette was also good and the cheese they use is quality.

First time trying Moulin. I went on a Saturday morning with a friend. I ordered the egg with toast and an iced latte. The area is really nice. Inside the restaurant is a mini grocery store with niche European products. Things are a bit pricy, but considering the location, it's reasonable. Seating is mostly outside.

My favorite pastries and especially if you adore French Baked Goods! Best place! The location is right across Ritz Carlton and has an amazing ocean view! I like that you can park at Salt Creek Parking lot and just literally walk to Moulin. Definitely recommended!

Great pastries and beautiful. Sandwiches and salads were already made and nothing special!

$17 with tip for my burata salad to go and no utensils to eat it with. Some of the tomatoes weren't ripe and were hard/crunchy.

What is unique to this Dana Point Moulin location, relative to the others? ;) It looks beautiful like all of the other locations~!!

Same as Laguna :)

Is it open on dec 24?

I believe the Moulin locations are open everyday until 3pm (except South Coast Plaza), even on holidays! They are super impressive... and oftentimes lifesavers!

Any gluten free pastries?

Their California bagels are delicious. This spot offers a fantastic atmosphere and great ambiance, with an extensive menu packed with tons of excellent choices. The staff is friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. I'll definitely be back and will be happy to spread the word!

I'll be back to Coffee Importers soon--it's a great place in DP for a morning coffee and pastry and hopefully the "regulars" don't ruin it for everyone else. Original review: I want to love this place and it bums me out to have to write this, but this is one of the least welcoming places in DP. Not because the staff is rude. But because they allow this clique of regulars to take over the outside patio and harass people who aren't in their group. I've watched it happen a few times now, but today was the worst. A woman with a little kid sat down at an unoccupied table and started having their food. A couple of minutes later an older gentleman walked up and began verbally accosting her, getting in her space and demanding that she leave because he's been coming here for 35 years and this is his table. He kept accosting her until she was crying and took her child and moved tables. A few people tried to comfort this poor woman and her little kid. This guy was 1000% in the wrong. But staff didn't do anything. Instead, they walked up to the guy, said hi to him (of course, in a first name basis) and were friendly as anything. But not a word to the woman crying and trying to distract her toddler. Gross. It's not just this one guy either. There are at least a dozen of these "regulars" and Coffee Importers doesn't appear to do anything to stop them from harassing people, and actually seems to be fostering this environment.

It is on the smaller side with no indoor seating, but there are tables available outside which is nice if you're enjoying the weather. They had a selection of pastries that looked delicious, including pistachio croissants, danishes, and other pastries, although we didn't end up trying any of them. The drinks menu had a lot of unique options that all sounded great, which made it difficult to choose. Unfortunately, the service took away from the experience. We were the only customers ordering at the time, and since there were five of us trying to decide on our drinks, it naturally took a few minutes. The employee taking our order repeatedly asked if we were ready and seemed very rushed, which made us feel pressured to hurry up instead of enjoying the ordering process. I've worked in fast food and restaurants before, so I understand that customer service can be challenging, but being welcoming and patient goes a long way. A little more friendliness would have made a big difference. As for the drinks, they were good overall. I ordered the honey latte and really enjoyed the flavor. My only note is that I got it with whole milk, and the milk had a slightly funky, almost cheesy aftertaste that I wasn't expecting. I'm not sure what caused it, but it was noticeable. Overall, Coco Bloom has a great location, cute drinks, and pastries that look promising. I would gladly return, but I do think the customer service could use some improvement. With a more welcoming experience, this easily could have been a 5-star visit.

Not in a corporate "we ordered our personality from a catalog" way. In a real, slightly chaotic, neighbor-knows-your-name way. Small parking lot? Yes. But that just means you've found something worth gatekeeping. Also there are outdoor seating by the street AND the parking lot, in case you want to hide yourself from the rest of the world. (I'm team parking lot, hiding.) The staff? So nice. So friendly. Like genuinely warm humans. They even offered my dog treats without me awkwardly hovering and hinting. Immediate loyalty secured. And the WiFi? Slapped. Hord. Like, I could actually open PDFs, upload things, and pretend I was writing something groundbreaking instead of rearranging paragraphs for 40 minutes. Patio productivity with dog present = elite setup. Coffee was solid, vibes were solid, humans were solid. This is the kind of place you accidentally turn into your personality. Would return. While I haven't tried any of the drinks yet, which seem pretty healthy too, I did get to enjoy their Classic Toast - which is basically avocados, microgreens, crushed black pepper, and a balsamic reduction on a slice of long-fermented sourdough bread, for $11.50 - outside at one of the tables nearby, and it was a great experience for my physical and, by extension, mental health, due to the former directly affecting the latter. The staff were very attentive, courteous, professional, and inviting, which I appreciated since good food tastes better when it's presented by nice people. The vibe was almost cult-like in the sense that there were a lot of people there that seemed like they're always there and the establishment is a big part of their daily lives. They also had a nicely curated selection of foods like chocolate bars, dried mangoes, olive oil, etc., for people to purchase for their households, which was pretty neat. First of all the line is out the door and it takes about 30 minutes to order your coffee. There aren't any menus throughout along the way and it's really hard to determine what is actually on their menu until you get inside of the coffee shop because most of their drinks on Yelp and Instagram are seasonal. When I was finally able to order, I ordered two different coffees because I wasn't sure what I was going to like given the coffee shop states all of their syrups are made in house. I think that's why the coffee didn't have any flavor and I didn't like it. The staff was nice enough to remake my drink, but even the second drink tasted like it didn't have any syrup in it and tasted like a regular latte. There is very limited seating inside of the coffee shop, merch is $30+ and you should be prepared for long waits.
