Foods at the house are cash only; the line on the steps on the right is for seating; the line on the left is for take out. Should you take out, as we did- and sit along the water- beware of the chipmunks, and do not let their cuteness disarm you. They will sneak up, climb on you, and pull food from your unsuspecting hands. THink seagulls at the beach...cute scavengers with no ethics who pray on the unaware. To earn your tea, you will need to hike to Lake Agnes. It was 5 miles from parking lot to tea and back, so roughly 2.5 each way. Yes, it is uphill; yes, you will need legitimate footwear, water, bear spray (on off seasons especially), and rain gear or whatever else you would need. In August, the trail was well travelled, so you were never alone with the bears. The view from the top is commanding, and you will see Mirror Lake on the way as well. We started to hike from Lake Agnes to the Little Beehive- another mile each way- but we decided against it, as my wife's boots were bothering her. The teahouse is a neat spot, and those who can hike to it will appreciate leaving the influencers at Lake Louise behind to go earn your tea!

They do ask you to take your trash down with you if possible, which is a bit of a hassle, but worth it to help do your part!
