We purchased our Newmar BayStar 3124 from Mount Comfort in November of last year and, after a rather steep learning curve driving the coach home to Maryland - first time in a while driving something this large, dark, rainy, lots of semis - and some additional research, decided to have a couple of accessories added to improve the handling on less than optimal roads, as well as purchase a tow dolly and get it set up. I also managed to screw up one of the slides, so that needed attention as well. I thought briefly of having the work done at a Newmar dealer closer to our primary home in Maryland, but because the purchasing experience was so exceptional at Mount Comfort, and the technical checkout when we took delivery was so thorough and, we headed out to get everything done at Mount Comfort. Yeah, a 600 mile drive to the dealer. That's how confident I was. While it is true we have a second home in Indianapolis, and part of the reason for the trip west was to spend time with family, I strongly believed that their technicians would exceed my already high expectations. And, I was absolutely correct. Rick in Parts worked closely with me to get the right materials on hand, explaining the advantages of several of my selections. Larry in Service kept me perfectly current on the status of the work on the coach, and, with Rick, helped to get a needed part in hand before our planned return to Maryland. The work performed by Kyle was flawless, and he was invaluable in helping me get the tow dolly and tow vehicle ready for the road. The suspension mods - Reflex steering stabilizer, beefier anti-sway bars front and rear - really did make a difference in handling, especially on the Indiana portion of I-70 (ugh!!) and with pretty heavy crosswinds and semis blowing past. The only way I'd have known we were towing a car was the rear camera, no affect on handling that I could detect. And, because we had to change our plans and do the run back to Maryland in one day, we had 13 hours on the road. I must say that, at the end of the drive, pulling into our drive at around 10:30 at night, I'd expected to feel a little bit beat up. But the coach handled well and the seats were so comfortable that wasn't the case. I wasn't fresh as a daisy by any stretch, but I wasn't feeling too bad for an old fat guy in his late 60's. We bought our first Gas MH from MCRV nearly 2.5 years ago. Allen Schwartz was our sales person and we truly enjoyed working with Allen. Allen was not high pressure at all but instead just listened as we asked lots of questions since we were first time buyers of anything like this. Never once did he tell us what we should have, instead he just kept answering questions letting us figure out what we wanted. After the first summer we realized we needed something different. Part of the reason we needed something different is that we changed our plans and decided we wanted a MH that would support us as full timers with our impending retirement. As fall approached we brought Allen back into the picture and told him what we were looking for in a MH and that we were primarily searching for a used Newmar DP. For the next 3 months or so we kept in touch and asked more questions to further define what we would need. A few days after Christmas 2012 he called us to let us know they had just received a 2006, 43' Dutchstar that he thought was in line with the parameters we outlined. In fact, the model he had was #1 in my homemade scoring system. We went the next day and made the deal after seeing the previous owner did a fine job keeping it in good shape. MCRV made us a very fair deal with the first unit and made an OUTSTANDING deal as we traded the first unit back to them for the Dutchstar. Our experience in that "deal making" aspect of the process was over all positive. Certainly it was as positive as any purchase of such an expensive item. We are pleased to give high marks to both MCRV and specifically to Allen Schwartz. We are happily living our dream in a fine Newmar product and finding the full time RV life style is better than we expected. Thank you Allen! read more

We had nothing but rain on our trip, and when I say rain, I mean waterfalls of rain. Anyway, we stopped at a KOA on our way to Canada. We noticed a small crack in the vent cover over the bathroom vent (we have a Forest River Shockwave toy hauler). It looked like a bug had smashed into the cover and had become lodged in it. We decided to duct tape over the crack because the forecast was for rain. When I climbed up on the top of the trailer, I noticed that the middle vent cover was falling apart and the last vent cover was gone. GONE! My guess is that the Texas sun just disintegrated them. In asked in the KOA store if they had any vent covers and they did not, so we decided on the next best plan - we cut up a spare shower curtain and I duct taped it over the last vent. I also duct taped the over vents. On the next segment of our trip, it poured. The rain was so heavy that we actually had to pull off the road for a while. When we stopped for gas and were under cover, we checked the vents. Of course the rain and wind had torn off the shower curtain and water was falling inside the trailer. The rain let up a bit until we made it to our next stop, Indianapolis KOA in Greenfield, Indiana. Fortunately for us, Mt. Comfort RV was in walking distance to the KOA. The KOA staff told us that a repairman would come over after work and install new covers if we bought the parts. We were skeptical - after all, would a Camping World allow that? Well, we bought three new vent covers as well as three Maxxair vent cover hoods and, surprise, a guy came over after work and installed them. Needless to say we gave him a healthy tip - after all he saved us from a lot of misery. We highly recommend this RV shop as well as the KOA next door to it. read more

Hands-down the best buying experience imaginable!!! From the minute we walked through the doors of Mount Comfort RV, we were greeted with honesty, integrity and a respect for our business that seems lost in modern consumerism. Our sales rep, Pat, walked us through purchasing our first RV with our best interest in mind- not his own wallet. He was able to provide practical advice and insights that were super invaluable to a couple of novice RVers. The service staff even waited for us to arrive (hours late) to install our hitch without a flinch. You could tell that everyone was more than happy to help us. (I cannot remember his name), but our technician went over the features of our RV step-by-step and answered questions as needed with obvious knowledge and experience. Once we selected the RV that met our needs and our budget (thanks to Pat's guidance), the application process was seamless. We were never pressured into going over our set budget and there were no hidden expenses or fees along the way- we walked through the process step by step with total TRUST in their staff. We worked with Ed for the financing and cannot say enough positive things about this man. He was a complete gentleman. This was a huge financial decision for us and our level of comfort floored us at every turn. When we ran into a snag with the first bank that we had chosen to finance with, he went above and beyond and spoke with a local bank to secure a better deal for us. His decision to go above and beyond cut our interest rate almost in half and saved us over 10,000 dollars over the course of our loan!! We will be delighted to do business with these gentleman in the future and cannot recommend them more highly. read more

When we were recently shopping for a fifth-wheel, Scott Mohr approached us to see if we needed help. He offered no pressure, which was pretty pleasant; he let us wander at our leisure, and then he appeared with ice cold water just when we needed it. He showed us every home we thought we might like, and while doing so, he listened intently to discover exactly what we would actually LOVE. He led us to the perfect fifth-wheel, and by perfect, I mean a beyond-our-dreams fit in terms of amenities, style, and price. Scott's intuition combined with his gregarious personality and his genuine and careful attention add up to the ideal sales associate and all-around great guy! (When we wanted to surprise our daughters the next week, Scott plugged in the power and cranked up the A/C on our fifth-wheel and then took the time to cart our family around to "look at homes." Of course, he saved ours for last, and when the girls went in, they were blown away by how perfect it is AND that unlike all the others we'd seen, that it was air-conditioned on a super hot day! In May of this year, we purchased a 2014 Newmar Mountain Aire from Mount Comfort RV in Greenfield, Indiana. We traveled over 600 miles from our home in North Carolina, and handled everything via internet and phone, up to the delivery.....Chris Anderson was our salesperson and main contact throughout the buying, delivery, and post delivery process. We consider him as one of the best people we have ever dealt with at a dealership. I was sorry to see the low rating other reviewers posted about Mount Comfort RV. This was not the case with my wife and I. After being ignored by Buckeye RV (see my YELP review on their page), meeting Allan Plosser at the Indiana RV show this past January was refreshing. He spent over two hours with us at the show and several more listening to the wants and needs for a new RV my wife and I were shopping for. Mount Comfort offered us nearly twice as much for our trade-in than another dealership and put us in a better equipped model for roughly the same price as that other dealership. Everyone we spoke with was happy for our business and worked diligently to get us the best value and best finance rates for our money. We had two small issues with our new coach and are working to get them resolved. No problems at this time. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. read more

Great people to do business with... stopped in Mt Comfort Rv to look at new class c... When I walked in and I was greeted by very nice receptionist and ask for a salesman and was greeted by Corey... We went out and look at new class c and being the first time I've looked, I want to check some other places so I drove down to camping world and out to Tom raper rv... Really should a saved my gas because I came back to the places I knew was the best. The selection was good and I couldn't ask for a nicer guy to do business with than Corey... He was more than a salesman he made me feel comfortable and took the nervousness out of spending that kind of money. Bought a used pop up camper from them last year. When you buy a used camper from them they inspect it and repair anything that needs repaired before delivery. When we did the walk around they found that one of the stabilizers was broken. They didn't have one in stock so their guy said he fixed it himself. Fast forward to the first use. What do we find? Of course. The stabilizer is broken that he said he fixed. Called the sales guy. He told me that he couldn't give it to me but could help me out. If I buy the stabilizer for $35 they would install it for free. Said they would call me when it came in. They never called me. Bought a set of two from Amazon for $60. Turns out it is only held on by 3 bolts. They could have saved my future business for that $35. read more

OK we were probably the customers from H___. We bought a used class A but changed our minds. That's when Pat Starling helped us buy a new class C Leprechaun. We only had it a few months and realized it was way too small for us. Now we have a newer Class A diesel pusher. We did lose money when we traded a 19 for a 15 but thanks to Patriot Paul the finance man, he worked his magic and we are ready to go full time again. Steve, Crystal, Larry and Rob(service) bent over backwards trying to get our rig ready for travel. Getting the right sales person is the key to a positive experience. If you aren't happy with who you are working with ask for someone else, it's all about personality and knowledge. read more

We purchased a 35ft diesel pusher with 10,000 miles and traded in a 5th wheel. It was a very good experience. I would recommend asking for Scott Mohr, he was very helpful and not a pushy salesperson. I felt like he really let the product sale itself. When first looking at the used RV's I was a little put off by them not being cleaned up like other lots do. However, when we went back to pick it up and do the walk through; it had been thoroughly cleaned. The gentlemen that did the walk through was extremely informative and very patient. Mount Comfort RV gets the highest rating I can give. We were stuck with a RV where the manufacturer and seller was out of business. We wanted to trade down to a pull behind from our class A. Found the Sprinter RV that I was looking for at Mount Comfort RV online. We came to an agreement over the phone. I flew to Indiana to accept it and drive it to Colorado. The alternator failed on the way home, I bought a new battery in Topeks to get it going and made it home. Bobby Sparks ( my salesman) called to see if I made it home OK, and I told him of the problem. I bought the RV as is, so didn't ask for or expect anything. Bobby ask me to send the invoice for the new alternator, and Mount Comfort RV paid for it. A good group of people to deal with. read more

My husband bought a used F-250 from these guys while he was overseas. The truck was in good condition, but the truck camper that had been attached to it had scraped the sides pretty good. Rusty was able to get that fixed and looking good as new. One of their techs drove the truck down to our house five hours south so my husband would have the truck when he got home. I just wanted to personally thank you for the wonderful donation you made of the RV used for breast feeding mothers at the Indiana State Fair. I am currently breast feeding a 6 month old who became a night mare once she got hungry and hot on Sunday while we were at the fair. I had to get our '16 Shasta Oasis in for about 4 warranty issues before it was up in January. I was told it'd be probably November before they could get to it due to backlog, which I expected. Much to my surprise I got a call just 4 days later that they squeezed it in for me and was ready to pick up. As a bonus, they even spotted an issue I wasn't aware of and fixed that as well.
