Oh. Em. Gee. I have found my new FAVOURITE Indian restaurant (aside from Cedars back home in Seattle). This little gem is hidden in a strip mall but don't pass it by! The food and flavours and perfection. The service phenomenal. And the ambiance surprisingly great for a stripmall. Hubs was very happy with the Beef Vindaloo and myself with the veggie korma. We also shared samosas and saffron rice. We literally took half the food home for a second meal. We visited at lunchtime and noticed there were a fair number of locals popping in for a quick lunch special to go. I cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu! read more

Green Beans is my go-to local spot for Indian curry. They are a lovely bunch and always leave me happy with their food. I usually get a curry (they're all good) with saffron rice and naan. Their momos are really good too, and I like the different naan options they have (the honey naan and cheese naan are really good). I order from them once every couple of weeks and their service is always consistent. They also have a great website for ordering direct from them. Finally, one small thing that I like is they often box up take-out items in leftover cardboard containers--a nice sustainable touch and honestly way better than paper bags :) Support small local business! read more

So glad we found this gem of a place it was absolutely delicious food. We were greeted nicely and I really liked the decor with beautiful sellable artwork aligning the walls. Our drinks were perfect on such a cold night, my boyfriend had chai latte and I had tea masala, both were very good. Our main dishes were tandoori chicken, lamb curry, beef korma and saffron rice and garlic naan, everything tasted fresh and tasty, the meat was tender and all the dishes were perfectly seasoned. There was a green mint sauce that came with the tandoori chicken which made for a great accompaniment. Service was exceptional and I am looking forward to returning for sure, excellent experience overall. read more

We have been going to Green Beans since the start of Covid of all times...we started going for take out, on my way home. Their food is always fresh, well made and the people that own this restaurant are very nice. Most recently, we went for an easy S. Valentine's night dinner. Again, an easy spot we ordered the plain and garlic naan, the fish tikka and palak paneer and Masala chai. EVERYthing came out hot and freshly made...our dishes were delicious and we enjoyed every bite (yes, I am a member of the "clean plate club" ;-) ). You can watch and hear the gentleman making the naan while you are sitting and also as they are cooking your meal fresh. In my humble opinion, it is worth a little trip to enjoy the food here. Do not be taken aback by the selection of also more "Canadian" faire...that is for their customers who are "easing" their way into Indian foods and also for the students that come in ;-) We are SO glad to have them in our little corner of the City and happy happy they are a nice walk away from our neighbourhood--did I mention they are across the street from the Telus World of Science? Having eaten at MANY Edmonton restaurants, I can highly recommend this cafe just west of the Space Science Centre. All three times I went there, the food tasted like it was made from scratch and with love. Even simple menu items can have a gourmet twist. Worth the visit!! Ate here again on Friday-had the roast beef and garlic mash special WITH HOMEMADE soup or salad. Tasty (and real) beef, fluffy flavourful mash, and the gravy......... For those of us working at the nearby Coronation Plaza, our lunch options are limited. This is a very welcome addition and I'm glad I decided to try it out. The downside is the wait time (although, it's nice to know that they make your sandwich fresh when you order it), and the price ($8.50 for a sandwich... no side or beverage with that). However, the menu is vast with lots to choose from included daily specials. I have only tried the Italian BLT so far, but it was delicious. They also have great looking espresso drinks that I can't wait to try out. read more

This restaurant (Mountain Bistro) use to be a very good restaurant. It had a nice mix of East Indian and Western menu options at very reasonable prices. As of late, it has dropped most of its Western menu options, including breakfast options it use to have that were very good. Visited recently and paid over $35.00 for 2 sandwiches and 2 coffees. read more

The soups they create are absolutely delicious. When combined with one of their homemade sandwiches, it makes for a great lunch. Ironically, their coffee is what I find to be their weak spot. I met my friend here on her suggestion because she saw this restaurant on the news. I am so glad she wanted to come here. The food is really made with quality ingredients. We had the soup of the day...amazing flavour! We also both ordered their mac n' cheese with shrimp. It was perfect! I will come back here again & again & tell everyone about it. Me and a friend stumbled upon this pleasant bistro as we were biking home from The SallyAnne. We were craving a coffee drink and made a decision between this cosy place or a competing Corporate Coffee chain. No question at all. In we went to the Green Bean and were treated to fine coffee beverages and sharing a sandwich was not a problem. Excellent staff and personal service. Hell.... we didn't even pay until we were done eating. Trying doing that at Second Cup! I give them four stars. read more

I have worked here a little over a week and I can't tell you enough how glad I am to be actually preparing delicious foods from scratch instead of many of the other chain restaurants that basically thaw and serve from prepackaged processed foods. The customers here are what make the place so special all of our regulars as well as first time customers from this neighbourhood are really nice which makes it so much easier to serve their needs it just makes working here that much of a fulfilling day read more

We stopped in for breakfast/lunch on the May long. What a hidden gem in our neighborhood. Fresh real food at a very reasonable price. We can wait to come back for the pizza and to try many more items on the menu. We watch Doug on Global in the mornings and were so happy to find that the location is so close that we can walk.
