Yvette helped me to create a pizza that spelled out "uncle" with pepperonis and then wrote a special message on the top of the box for when he opened it. Prior to delivery she sent me a picture and a sweet message for me and my family. I came to this place by accident as I had hoped to go to the fish place next door but they were closed. The staff were so friendly and responsive! I went here and got a rooster pizza, the garlic bread cheese sticks and the boneless wings. I honestly think the garlic bread sticks were the best I ever had--crispy, cheese and great seasoning! Words can not express my disappointment! I am a big Mountain Mike's fan from way back. I grew up in Northern CA (Bay Area) and the CA Central Valley. Both Mountain Mike's strongholds. I was really looking forward to sharing with neighbors and allowing them to experience the "goodness" that I remembered. However ... When you look at the pictures (and I mean everywhere) of the pepperoni pizza, you see a pizza covered in pepperoni. What we received was pathetically lacking in the favorite topping. Maybe 2-3 slices per piece. We also had Italian Sausage on our pizza, and it was even more sparse. Of the 14 pieces in this large pizza we had 5 pieces with ZERO Sausage and on the others was an avg of 2 pieces of Sausage. $23 for a 14" pizza? You gotta be better than this! This next part may not be their fault, but it was, part of our disappointment. We had the pizza delivered by GrubHub and it took over an hr and arrived cold. This pizza is way better hot than cold! Not sure if this is because Southern CA is a new territory for the franchise or not, but with Laventina's right around the corner, it will be hard to make that trip to Costa Mesa again. First time visiting the Mountain Mikes on 17th in Costa Mesa. The manager and crew were super friendly and my takeout was hot and fresh when I arrived. I mentioned that they had a coupon on their site for a free cookie pizza if you spend $25+ on a Monday but the site wouldn't let me apply it when ordering takeout even though I met all the requirements. The manager replied, "give me 7 minutes and I'll sort you out!" My girlfriend and I loved the pizza and cookie (with a little vanilla ice cream ;-) and are now customers for life. Bomb! Such good pizza. Highly recommend the Everest. We aren't big black olive fans so we asked for them not on it and they kindly gave us a replacement topping for no charge so we chose garlic. We also got the pepperoni which was also good but we both agreed the Everest was better. The crust is crunchy and they are perfectly doughy. The service was also quite pleasant. We purchased a large speciality deal that comes with a free medium 1 topping pizza. We picked up our order because they do not offer delivery in our area. When we got home, our speciality pizza was undercooked. The pepperoni was not crispy as we are use to from mountain Mike's. Went in to Mountain Mike's at 8:45 PM tonight when it says on the door they close at 9:00 PM and wanted to order a pizza to go. I was told They were no longer taking any orders because they closed at 9 PM and they stop taking orders at 8:45 PM They turned away my business at 8:45 PM during a pandemic when restaurants need business the most. They had five employees working there and no customers and the manager didn't even give a care in the world when I asked her if the owner knew that she had been closing early. We recently had lunch at Mountain Mike's, and tried their lunch buffet, which is essentially several varieties of pizza and a phenomenal salad bar. We were so happy to discover a truly quality salad bar post Covid. They're very hard to find, and this one is great. Very fresh, very high-quality toppings, and a large variety of vegetables. I cannot think of a better salad bar in Orange County when it comes to the quality of the greens and variety. The pizza was a choice of pepperoni or a white pizza. If you have been to Mountain Mike's, you know, the star of the menu is the pepperoni, and they kept small pizzas coming so you always had a hot, fresh, perfect slice. I did not try the white pizza, because I have a philosophical problem with white pizza, but that's a personal issue... The staff were attentive and friendly, and it is a large clean open space that is very aesthetically pleasing. I highly recommend Mountain Mike's lunch buffet, if you like good salads and pepperoni pizza, you won't be disappointed. read more

I love this pizza spot. After round table closed I was missing a good pizza spot until mountain mikes came to town. Now this spot is my go-to for delivery or pickup. The pepperoni is my favorite, which is saying something because I'm usually a sausage person. Their garlic cheese bread is also amazing. Recently I needed to get a new tire at Big O so I walked over to grab a beer and snack while I waited. It was the perfect spot to kill time while watching sports on their TV. The only good thing from the pizza I ate was the pepperonis. They have the ones that curls and those are my favorite. However, that's where the good review ends. The pizza flavor was on par with pizza hut. My boss actually made this exact comment when he bit into it. The pizza was underwhelming after seeing the pictures online and after eating two slices, I felt heavy. It tasted as if I was eating mouthfuls of dough, which I don't mind if it was tasty. it's very rare to find mini pepperonis that curl up and get crispy. i was so excited to see this mountain mike's open up! i ordered a pepperoni pizza through grubhub for delivery and it came surprisingly much quicker than the expected time I was given - especially after reading all the reviews. dough was chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside and pepperonis were just as I expected. i'd love if there was a littttle more cheese, but it wasn't a deal breaker. Just tried Mountain Mikes for the first time and loved it! Got the pineapple chicken luau half no meat (for my side). It was great! We also ordered jalepeno poppers and they were nice enough to make them without bacon for me. I feel like so many places just have apps like that premade and frozen and never can alter them for me so I really appreciated the option! We have had delivery thin crust Hawaiian 3 times now and we are happy with it. It's thin, not super thin but crispy and good... I personally reallly like the flavor of the sauce and for me they put the appropriate amount of sauce on the pizza.... maybe we will try something else but the Hawaiian Pizza is so good it will be hard to pass it up. So we had a big company luncheon and was concerned that beyond a lack lustered Pizza Hut or Dominos, we wouldn't be able to place an order this big (32 Large). I couldn't believe how easy it was. I called the day before and placed the order, told them I needed them at 11:30 am. Followed up, just to make sure, at 11am the following day. The staff was courteous and said they would be ready on time. Pick up was quick and they helped me load them in the vehicle (they could deliver too).
