Went here as a back up after the Mediterranean place a couple doors down had too long a line, got the chicken pizza and salad bar. Was honestly really surprised how good it was. Salad bar was fresh and the pizza was really good, some of the best dough I've had in years. Not a huge selection of wine, but what they had was good quality. Will be back! read more

I have eaten at other Mountain Mike's Pizza locations before and love their menu/food. My favorite part is the buffet, but no buffet due to Covid-19. I have been to the Costa Mesa location twice already and the pizza is amazing! I work in Costa Mesa and got a small pizza for lunch. We've come here several times and the food is solid, a bit too high on price but whatever. It's fun for families with kids with the claw game and pinball for $1.00 per play and we always spend a minimum of $100+ every trip between a couple pizzas, wings, beers, etc. tonight was no different. However, tonight we ordered to eat in and we're given a number, but our food was brought to our table in to-go containers. Okay, maybe a mistake but no problem. Now we're eating and enjoying dinner, but then abruptly told by the staff that they will closing in five minutes but we are welcome to finish eating outside!! Wow, really? Okay, but I'd like to finish my slice of pizza and/or at least my beer, but nope, they start shutting the lights and TVs off on us now... Wow!! My wife and daughters are uncomfortable so they leave (we walk here) but I decide to stay and see if I can finish my plate of food. More lights are turned off while the staff just stares at their phones, eats pizza and drinks soda. Im sorry Mountain Mike but tonight was a deal breaker, I told the family we will never eat here again and we will recommend to our all of our neighbors to never go there either. Al's New York and Sergeant Pepperonis have been great for years and we will keep our business there. What a shame the staff wasn't trained to excersise some common curtesy to their guests. read more

I received a coupon for 49% off on any one topping large pizza. I didn't realize that there was a Mountain Mike's closer to our house. We were always going to the Lake Forest or Corona location. I called and was helped by Jasmine. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and gave her the promotion code. She said that she could not locate the code and maybe it was because my account for Mountain Mike's had the Lake Forest location as my main one. Jasmine still honored the code and 20 minutes later, when I arrived, the pizza was ready. The restaurant is located on the busy street of 17th St. with parking in the back. There is a large outdoor dining area, as well, as an indoor area that was closed due to Covid. Everything looks very clean and there are hand sanitizer bottles everywhere. I felt very, very safe when I picked up the pizza. Mountain Mike's is one of the best pizza chain restaurants. The sauce is so rich, a little bit tangy and spicy. The crust is so perfectly crisp and they always provide plenty of ingredients. I love how the pepperoni curls up and every bite is as good as the last. I highly recommend Mountain Mike's Pizza and I highly recommend this location because of jasmines exceptional customer service. We will certainly come back here and try other pizzas as well as the different beers available. read more

Liked the crust liked the dessert. Took 3 hours to get our food! Our food was supposed to get delivered but it took so long that we drove the store. When we got there it was absolute chaos. No one knew what they were doing and very poor management. We ordered a pepperoni/cheese pizza, but when we opened up the box it was an uncooked dessert pizza with cheese sprinkled on top. Therefore we didn't get our cheese/ pepperoni pizza. With the order we also received soggy cold wings that we didn't order. How ever the pizza showed potential if it was warm because they forgot about it and just put it in.We will try again in a few months. read more

The pepperonis are awesome my kids love having the mushrooms on there as well. The slices are cut thinner than others making it best for my kids. I just wanted to update my review. After posting my initial review, the owner Chip from the Costa Mesa location reached out. He was very humble, apologetic and such a genuine man. He spent a lot of time working with the staff to explain the situation and take it as a learning and training opportunity. He has already made some adjustments to make Mountain Mike's a place to take sport teams. Errors happen, but I truly appreciate the time and effort Chip took, to correct the error and make it up. The delivery driver was incredibly nice. Something we all need to keep in mind during this pandemic era is that dinner rushes are nuts, so delivery times will be affected. Pizza is good, however I ordered a pepperoni pizza that is advertised as having "mountains of pepperoni" and it was pretty scarce- and I also added mushrooms to the pizza and it came with zero mushrooms. I paid extra for that. Large garden salad is fantastic! Mountain Mike's- I'm disappointed in your lack of paying attention to details and missing the extra charged mushrooms and having scarce pepperoni. Went to Mountain Mike's for lunch today. The order took quite a while to come out and the restaurant was empty. Might have been online or to-go orders causing the delay. Anyway, the pizzas were amazing, except I ordered one with jalapeños and pepperoni and when it came out, it only had jalapeños. I hate to complain or send food back so I ate it. The other pizza we ordered was pepperoni and mushroom and it was just as good. We sat out on the nice patio, which was covered and heated. This place is WORTH the price and they were incredibly fast for delivery! The finest pizza in Costa Mesa! We love all the different topping options and the ingredients are so fresh! Well. We were excited to try a new place to get pizza and wings. But this restaurant shouldn't be open yet. They are very unorganized. I ordered/paid online for a large pizza half cheese / have pepperoni with extra sauce, 12 piece Buffalo Wings with ranch to dip, and a Large Salad with ranch/Italian dressing. The online site said my order would be ready in 20 minutes. So perfect we ordered FishBones next door for my son who craved some fish. They said it would be ready in 25 minutes. Waited 15 minutes then drove over. We decided to go to FishBones first since I had to pay. Food was ready. Yeeeppi. Walked into Mountain Mike's and there were a few people waiting at tables and 1 person at the pick up window. The blond gal who looked overly stressed was offering a man a discount, drink, gift card since his order wasn't ready... Didn't really hear the details maintaining distance... When it was my turn I gave my name and she rushed to the back area. She came out and said they were running behind that our pizza was going into the oven. Okay, we sat down to wait. Time spent waiting, but after 54 minutes to the time I received my order confirmation I figured I'd ask for a status.... A young man helped... Guess where my order was...sitting in the warming oven. No one called it out. My son and I were watching/facing the kitchen so we r thinking our food was there pretty much the whole time. I grabbed our stuff and just left. The lady shrugged when I told her my food was there the whole time. I mean I feel bad they are stressed but shoot not good. While we were waiting the take out line had over ten people waiting to get help. Here is my review of the food. The wings are tiny, tiny. The ranch doesn't taste like freshly made ranch. Not enough sauce on the wings. On the good side the wing sauce was yummy. Just needed more. Chicken hard to judge because I may be jaded cause it sat in the warming cabinet or the small size...tiny so not much chicken. I would rather have Lavantina's wings... The pizza crust was good, toppings looked good, cheese looked good..... but there was no extra sauce on the pizza in fact if that is the amount of sauce on a normal pizza it's barely there. So just tasted like cheese bread/cheese bread with pepperoni. Lastly the salad. It's just a normal green salad. Greens, with shredded carrots, purple cabbage, and sliced cucumbers. The Italian is pretty good and on the sweet side. The ranch I'm on the fence about. It's like a good jar ranch. I put the left over pizza in the trash since no one wanted it for the lack of sauce. Well, will not return any time soon. They need to get organized and work the bugs out. I was really disappointed with our $50 meal. It sat in the warming cabinet while we sat thinking our pizza was on the oven. Who knows how long during our wait but like I said we didn't see anyone bring it out and there doesn't seem to be any organization to let staff know afte r a patron checks in for their order to have a staff know to call it out. Due to the extreme burden new businesses are having we will try again but maybe in another 6 months. Maybe they can work out their kinks. read more

I ordered Mountain Mike's Pizza on New Year's Eve. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza, with half jalapeños and an order of mozzarella sticks. I waited quite a while for my pizza. However, I will say the pizza itself was pretty good. Kind of pricy, but good. I will also say that the mozzarella sticks were the worst I've ever had. They were cold and the cheese was barely melted on the inside. I definitely do not recommend ordering the mozzarella sticks! read more

Why can't there be two good experiences ? I don't understand why on a Tuesday it was so slow. Then the online order wouldn't accept the 15% off coupon that they include in print ad. I called the store and was told "oh they don't work sometimes" but didn't want to honor the discount. They had 1 worker who was packaging, cashier and cleaner. Not sure if all locations are like this but the customer service here is like no other pizza place I've called. Always so polite and helpful. Definitely our top 5 fav places to order pizza delivery. They don't sell you short on toppings and bottom crispy crust is my fav. Always hot when it arrives and not greasy. We always change up our order but white and red sauce are really good! Updated review, I've now had delivery twice from them and both times pizza came quicker than original time given. Pizza is good, thick crust (not the biggest fan of thick crust) but it was surprisingly good, service was great and delivery drivers were great. I've tried 4 different pizzas now (2 of there signatures) along with desert pizza. No real complaints besides the blt one was a bit bland but easily enough to spice it up yourself. All in all they make a good pizza and there classic pepperoni still seems to be the favorite in my house. I'm still searching for the pizza that's speaks to me but overall I'm happy with the food I've eaten along with the customer service. Complete chaos on multiple levels. There were people in there waiting for hours for there food. I felt bad for everyone including the people working as there was a lot of unhappy customers.
