Usually I like mountain mikes pizza. This evening I ordered 1 dozen boneless chicken wings. I know I said for my chicken wings to NOT be spicy. My son who is 5 is special needs and it's not easy to find things to feed him. I knew he would be able to eat them. I also orderred cheese sticks. Another one of his favorites. I also ordered a salad for myself. Order comes kids hungry. First of all the nuggets were not even hot. They were cold. Not only were they cold but VERY spicy. I gave a bite to my son first because they weren't hot. I gave him his bite and he automatically knew it was spicy. He's non verbal and can't explain to me what's wrong. I was mad. Second the cheese sticks were also very cold. They were not stringy like they should be. The salad was ok. For $32 I was very mad and will not order from them again and will let my people know. I ordered a bunch of pizzas for my sons birthday and I wasn't sure how long it would take to make the pizzas so I called it in a couple hours early to ask questions a and to see if I can set up the order to be picked up at 5:15pm. The staff were really nice and helpful on the phone. I asked if I could use the Yelp promotion of 15% off my order and the lady was so nice that she gave a a little bigger discount since I ordered a bunch of pizza. I got a phone call back from a gentleman asking me if I wanted to get my pizza delivered for Free or I thought he said for Free because he must have said for a fee. To be honest I don't really know which one it was so I ended up saying yes since we were doing it at a park and I was already exhausted from working. The pizza came and I was charged a delivery charge but I didn't want to argue. The mountain pizzas are huge. I probably should've ordered one or two less because we had a lot of left overs or people weren't that hungry due to the hot weather. The pizza was delicious and tasty. I came here with my boyfriend last night for the all you can eat salad bar buffet and pizza and it was just a disgrace. I feel so ashamed on even choosing this place and telling my boyfriend about because it was the worse way to waste someone's money. When we first arrived the place was pretty packed due to a soccer tournament that ended and so it was full of kids and parents everywhere. The tables were so close to each other that it was so hard to even get in between and walk to get food. What would happen if there was a person in a wheel chair or crutches? We thought because since we ordered the dinner buffet with salad that there would be making more pizza with a variety that we can choose from. Well no that didn't happen. We ended up eating the salad and the same pizza that was sitting there before we even arrived. You can tell by the just looking at the pizza it was old and underneath the lamp that the cheese was starting to look old and crumbly. Gross! We should of just ordered a small regular pizza of something we could have liked instead of a buffet of old pizza. As for the service it was just ridiculous. It was all young teenagers working the store and what did they do while tables had dirty plates, dishes, napkins everywhere? They stood there and talked to one another and joked around. Not only did they talked but they used foul language to each other while kids are around. Like really? Who hired these people? I really hope that this place gets their sh!t together. This place, like other Mt. Mikes, was a major let down! Although the place is nice and clean and roomy and has nice large screen T.Vs..... It is no excuse for coming in at 1:00pm for the "All you can eat" pizza buffet and having 1/2 of a pizza there and a promise of more pizzas coming out, to only wait over 10 minutes for 1 lousy mixed pizza!!! I guess their understanding of a buffet is 1 pizza. I felt ripped off and won't be coming here ever again! Not to mention, the pizza here was bland with little flavor. 2 stars for the cleanliness and tvs, and nothing more. I've had good pizzas from this Mountain Mikes in the past but the last couple of orders were horrible. The pizza was over cooked, extremely dry and bland. When I spoke with the manager his response led me to think he was getting other complaints. He told me that I could bring the portion untouched back and he would replace only that portion. This place wasn't all that great. Passing through to grass Valley and decided to stop here because back where we live in rancho cucamonga our Mountain Mike's is great so we thought this one would Also be good. NOPE. The two girls working today have no personality they seriously looked like they hated there job. No smile etc. Asked for the pesto sauce but it was still frozen so that was out of the question. We had asked for change but they didn't have any inside the cash drawers. Even the change machine was out of order. There back private room area was extremely dirty. The food was ok. It was kinda cold. They probably forgot about it because the whole staff was in the kitchen talking and eating. Just glad we won't have to return to this location. read more

I have had Mountain Mike's pizza before and it has been really good. The only reason I gave the Hercules location 1 star is because the pizza was good. They had 1 person at the register and possibly 3 people in the back. We ordered the dinner buffet. They had one small pizza out for 40 people who ordered the buffet. 15-20 minutes later they put another small pizza out. There was no salad. About 5 minutes before I left a worker came to refill the salad, WITH HIS HANDS! They have tongs for a reason and when you deal with food get some gloves. To top it off the one register worker was handling her cell phone all night and could clearly not understand the register and how it worked. She then decided it was good to yell at her co workers and blame them that all the customers were unhappy. Before I left there were at least a dozen customers who ordered take home pizza's and hadn't received them. This location is too small and needs more employees. They also need to establish a better system on how to prepare and cook pizza's, and how to handle customers. I definitely wont be coming here again. read more

When they first opened I thought, "great." I liked their pizza's and I knew that they could not miss. WRONG!!! The last couple of times their service and food has sucked beyond sucking. The first time they screwed up I figured okay, well, it happens. Sure the delivery guy took my pizza and I had to wait for a new one to be made. Though it was interesting to see the delivery guy come back through the front door empty handed and being told he took my pizza's by mistake. Now, who ended up with my pizza? But I they gave me another pizza for free for the screwed. Then the straw that has broken the proverbial back, I decided to give them another shot and order again from them. After being on hold for awhile and being placed on hold for a second time, my order was taken. I had told the person about the coupons I had and never mentioned to me that I could only use one or which order I preferred. He took my order and hung up and that was it. I went to pick up my order and presented the girl my coupons, who then proceeded to yell at me for using multiple coupons. I told her to relax, I kept my cool, and just gave her one coupon. I asked her if that sort of thing happens to them a lot and she said yes. I told her that it made more sense now why they were being rude by yelling with the poor customer service. We used to enjoy coming here but the service quality has declined significantly over the last few years. In a prior visit, our order was forgotten about and they didn't start making our food until I asked where our pizza was 30 minutes after waiting. In my most recent experience, I ordered a chicken club pizza over the phone today for pickup. On top of waiting 45 minutes for my pizza, when it was handed it over, the guy told me they ran out of green onions. I told him that it would have been nice to know that before they started making it. He replied with "my bad" and walked away. Ordered a med 1/2 cheese-pepperoni pizza. Took an hour before I got my order. when I opened the box, 1 small (about an inch) slice was taken out from the pizza. I've been to this location far way more times then I can count on both my hands. Both takeout, and dine-in. I've never had any problems. Pizza was always cooked to order, hot, fresh, and so delicious. I will still give 4 stars, but lately the lunch buffet has been lackluster. It seems they had a change in staff. The girl(s) that were in the front were more attentive. For some reason, the past 3 times I went there's been no green onion for the chicken club pizza... and that actually makes a huge difference to the taste of the pizza. It's hard to understand why they don't tell you that upfront or just go down the street to Safeway and get some until their delivery arrives... it's only like 50 cents.
