Mountain Mike's is a fairly new chain to AZ so we wanted to try it out. Their standard crust is fairly doughy, but good. (You can also order thin crust.) My husband liked that the sauce was super garlicky, but I found myself scraping off what I considered to be an excess of it. Way too saucy for my liking! We got a simple pepperoni pie to sample what they call their famous curly pepperoni. I typically don't like greasy, slimy pepperoni but theirs was great. It definitely had some grease, but the crispness and flavor made up for it. I don't know that I would crave Mountain Mike's, but I'd definitely stop by if I was in the area. read more

Pricey pizza place with a friendly staff but incompetent management. I got the everest small which was $15 and a fountain drink ($2.50). The pizza is a really greasy style of pizza that tastes OK. It's definitely not bad but I'd rather get any competitor's pizza for cheaper and better. When I was eating my 2nd slice, the mouthful of pizza had many small very hard pieces inside. I could not bite through them at all and I took them out to inspect them (as pictured) . I was very confused as to what it was and took it to a staff who brought it to a manager. The manager said they were burnt onions and that 'it just happens when it goes through the oven'. Firstly, the pieces were so hard that it was impossible to chew through most of them. I tried to bite them multiple times just because I was shocked at how these got into my pizza and although I could break some of them down, most were inedible. Secondly, 'it just happens' is the laziest most incompetent answer to give to a customer. I shouldn't have to be afraid to bite into your pizza just in case some inedible bits are in there. What a nonsensical answer. It's even crazier that there are onions on the pizza that aren't even close to being burnt (as pictured). I highly doubt that they are onions since onions take quite some time to cook and the actual onions on the pizza that weren't even close to being burnt shows otherwise. TLDR: Terrible place. Terrible management. Okay food but too greasy. Nice staff. Highly discourage anyone from dining here. read more

She was very friendly and recommended many things to me, I ended up having a small mountain Mike's pizza toasted with pepperoni, jalapeño and green pepper. Excited to tryout a new pizza place. Utilized their app to place and order for 2 small pizzas (Thin Crust-The Everest & Reg Crust-Garlic Tuscan), basic app, EZ to place order with. When I arrived to p/u the food, I glanced around and saw a very large dining space and I believe a patio (will be available). The lady that greeted me was very friendly, courteous and professional. The pizzas were still hot, when I brought them home and the preset pizzas where a nice combination of fresh and flavorful ingredients. Food buffet during the week nice! . Wonderful Pizza. I enjoy going here to watch NBA games or any other sport they have so many TVs. You can go out and hang out at their patio it has a little gate around it so he could probably bring your children maybe even a pet outside when it's nice out. Lots of room for everybody there's bar room to go people come in especially to take food out to go. Doesn't cost very much. Very inexpensive but the taste is there. The. Best. Pizza. I was of the philosophy that pizza was pizza... basically the same just different toppings. Mountain Mike's, where have you been all my life?? This is the gourmet of pizza- absolutely phenomenal! Not to mention their sides- nom nom! The mozzarella sticks are delicious! The garlic bread with cheese WOW! The place is cleaned immaculately, which is always a good sign. The staff is warm and friendly. I noticed a lot of people who were just there to pick up orders, dining was casual, food was brought out very quickly. Definitely a family friendly atmosphere with a few games to play (but nothing as overwhelming and boisterous as chuck-e-cheese) this is a great place for your family and offers a little something to keep almost everyone entertained. read more

The food looked amazing, but the service was horrible. We were told to sit wherever and the young lady behind the bar would take care of us. She came over to take our order and it was clear she was new and very shy. The horrible service was in no way her fault. She had not been trained, and the man behind the counter offered little to no help. When two young women walked in, he provided them excellent service. Another couple came in shortly after those two young women and didn't get any service either. Ultimately, we paid for our food and left. First time here, thought I'd try it out I got a 14" Large pizza and garlic sticks with cheese. We were impressed, we really liked it, the pizza was perfect temperature and crispy with great flavor. Good Service. For fountain drinks they have a self serve. They have beer, lots of seating and TV's. We will return. read more

We got Mountain Mike's Pizza for the first time 1/6/23. We got the Pike's Peak, Pineapple Chicken Luau and some fried mozzarella sticks. In a word - excellent. One thing I will do differently is ask for the thin crust next time. The crust is tasty, but more than I like. There was no Marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks, but they were still eaten fast, If they delivered to our home (we're just outside their delivery range) they would be our go-to Pizza Parlor. This place is such a great little find. They opened in Jan and they have such a great staff such as Joan. She's da bomb. Anyway they have a huge variety of selections with speciality pizzas or just regular pizza as well. They have a salad bar and a huge bar as well to watch some sports especially my Suns! I cannot remember the last time I ate at a buffet! Pizza was really good. My favorite thing was a good selection of pizzas and salad items. But mostly my favorite was the cheesy cheese stick pizza. This review makes me really sad to post but someone has to say something.... I originally learned about Mountain Mikes during my time spent in California. And I was super excited that they were opening locations here in AZ....so excited I showed up a week before they opened thinking I was going to have delicious pizza! I'm not sure what I am more disappointed about....the way management was acting during a dinner rush on a Friday night on day 5 of being open or the fact I got violently I'll about 2 hours after I ate your pizza. To the manager that walked out of the kitchen shaking his head in disgust and went to sit in the lobby while your crew was slammed...do better. Your team needed you last night and although you were in the building, you were no where to be found helping them. The staff was busting their butts trying their hardest to get the orders out. We ordered about 7:30 and it took about an hour to get our food. Now you're probably thinking that's a super long wait but, it was Friday night and if you ordered delivery from any other pizza place your wait would be about 90 minutes. I know me some MM pizza. I order the same thing every single time I go to any location.....pepperoni pizza with extra sauce, extra cheese and extra pepperoni....and in all my times at MM locations it did not include a nice bout of food poisoning. I will never be back. First because I haven't been that ill in 20+ years and second because management attitude was thee worst I have seen in all the time I have lived in AZ. Today I did a mobile order to get two pizzas and was super excited to finally have Mountain Mike's Pizza out my area. When I arrived I was helped with my order by what seemed to be somebody from corporate that was training the cashier, at least I hope they were. This person was very short with me about getting me in and out. I could feel that I was unwanted and wanted me to get my order and leave. I had asked her a question which she had her back to me and she didn't even turn around to acknowledge me with her answer. I hope this isn't the manager of the store and just somebody from the corporate office that's doing training. If so they need to work on their public relations and I will avoid them if I do come back. Bright side is the store looks really nice and inviting but that's the only thing that deserves a star. Super disappointed in the pizza. The quality of the pizza was bad. Burnt toppings on my combination pizza. The Tuscan didn't even taste right at all. The flavor is completely different than a normal Mountain Mike's pizzeria. My Hope is that the owner will figure out why this is and fix it in the future. As it sits right now, I won't be going back to this place for 6 months. I'll give it one more shot after then and update this review. For now I will stay with my Mountain Mike's in California. read more

Excellent pizza and fresh salad...I went early, arriving at 11:10am so everything was definitely fresh. I opted to go the cheap route and just drank water, so my total was a whopping $10.82. Oh I definitely got my money's worth. Love the pepperoni and Hawaiian pizza. Would've loved and have seen some thin crust on the buffett. Next time I'll ask for them to make some. Very good pizza. Again, get there early and get it fresh. Had a nice spinach salad as well. Decent salad bar, it's just hard to reach everything the way it's designed. We ordered a basic pepperoni pizza and churros. The crust is tasty and a tad thick. I could barely taste the sauce because there wasn't enough of it. Same story for the cheese, double the amount put on would have the made pizza more satisfying. The restaurant is new and you could tell, that only a couple staff members knew what they were doing. The churros didn't come with any dipping sauce; So they were eh. Restaurant needs to train their employees to be more efficient and improve the quality of their product to survive in this economy. There are several other sit-down pizza places in the area that are more economical and have already fine-tuned their operations. read more

Amazing pizza! I'm so happy Mountain Mike's is now in AZ. PERFECT crust and that pepperoni is on it from the first bite to the last so no need to leave the crust. With this place just opening, they're still getting things set up as far as the bar and the buffet area but it was still a nice clean atmosphere. Just met for lunch and what a nice surprise. The pizza/salad buffet was fresh and they offered a nice selection of pizza. We asked for the "dessert" pizza which was not on the buffet yet, but was specially served hot to our table by one of the managers, Simeon, who was very friendy. He even sprinkled it with powdered sugar. We were spoiled. The cheese bread was cheesy and the pepperoni was cooked nicely (crispy and curled up on the ends-you know what I'm talking about). Pretty good pizza. Decent sauce and service was nice. The guy serving us was really energetic, like so much that he was engaging in our conversation. They forgot to take the bacon off my pizza, but they redid it and I got two pizzas I guess. Their soda fountain was broken when I came in, and the starry did not taste like it contained any flavor. There was this old man (customer) who stared at us the whole time, kinda creepy ngl. Probably won't come back, but if I was starving, I wouldn't pass it up. I actually went to their brand new location at Ray and the I10. This place is so good. I'm a huge fan of pizza that goes all the way to the edge. The curled up pepperoni are my favorite.
