I came in to this store midday 9/23/25 to order the San Fransisco 49er pizza at a 49% discount after their win on the Sunday before. I am local to this Mountain Mike's and have been here on many different occasions with no issues and enjoyed the food and service. On this occasion I brought in my cellphone with the promotion having completed it online giving me a code which was my telephone number. When I showed this code from Mountain Mike's website I was told in the restaurant that I had to recoup this promotion online. I explained to him that this was done online and the evidence was on the phone in front of him. He continued with that I had to complete this online. I explained that I would go back online and look for something I missed. I did not find anything else that mentioned this 49er 49% off promotion. I told him this and advised him to look up the online site telling him to use my indicated phone number which he said he did but with no results. I order pizza on Saturday at 5:16 pm online. The website and email said that the delivery would be there around 6:11 I provided the information from my order at the bottom of this message. At 6:33 I called to get a status and without even asking who I was they told me they were busy and it was on its way. I said ok a little unhappy with the wait because we were all getting hangry here. The restaurant is less than 5 minutes from my house so I assumed it would be here in less than 15 minutes if it was out for delivery. It still would have been about 45 minutes or so late but that is fine. I called again at 6:59 asking them to just cancel the order they said I would need to speak to the manager who was not around but would be back in about 15-20 minutes. While on the phone the delivery driver showed up and gave my wife the pizza. Her and the kids started eating because they were hungry. I called back again at 7:24 and spoke to the manager (I believe the name was Ronni) I tried to tell him that I was unhappy and before I could get much further he cut me off and said too bad they were busy. I then said I realize that but no one called to tell me it was going to be this late. The printed tag on the box said it was printed at 6:30pm. I also called twice and no one gave me a real status. When I called you told me it was out for delivery which he cut me off again and said no that I was lying no one told me that. At this point he is calling me a liar and did not care that they were so late. I said fine but asked since it was so late if I could get a partial refund or discount on a future order. This is when he lost it and started yelling about how they were busy that the driver delivered it and that I should be happy. I said it was an hour late, I am happy I can eat now but I am not happy with everything else. He then cut me off again tell me to shut up and said that he was going to send the driver to come and pick it up. I was trying to say that was needed but he insisted and that it would be refunded and asked me not to come back again. At this point I had enough and said fine just come get this sh!t then. He said fine but as he was hanging up my whole family (speaker phone) heard him call me a fucking asshole as the phone clicked. The driver did come around 7:45 and pick up what was left which was 5 of the six garlic knots, 1 piece was eaten out of the small Everest and about 70% of the pepperoni was left. Like I said before it was delivered I was not told it was being picked up until 20 minutes after it was delivered so we did eat some of it. I was not looking to have it taken back the manager made that choice knowing it had been with us for about 20 minutes. He also did not give me a chance to speak so I couldn't even tell him some was missing.. I then received another call and voice message asking me to call him back at 8:02 pm. I called him back at 8:15pm. At this point he told me we ate almost all of the pizza and that he would not be refunding me anything. I told him they took back the majority of the pizza back (which we did not ask them to do) that they need to at least refund some of what I was charged. He said that is too bad they have it back we ate some it and I will not be getting anything from them. I tried to explain the situation again I ordered pizza it was super late, I called was lied to, I called again and was told someone would pick it up then called an a$$hole, they took it back after saying they would refund, they called again after taking the pizza saying I would not get a refund. This was the most insane exchange I have ever had with a business owner ever. All he said at this point is yes you will get nothing. I then said this is f$cking ridiculous or something similar and that I would go to corporate. He then said go right ahead I own this place, do not do business with us again and f$ck you good night then hung up. This was insane over a bill that was 84.98. Since the delivery driver is the innocent person in this situation I do not want to take anything from him. I would have expected since they took the pizza back to get at least a credit of 60 back from them that is about 70%. It is clear that this owner will not so I would expect MM's to make this right. I have reached out to Corporate and my bank and am disputing the charge as well again not asking for the full 85 back but a portion since they took the product I paid for back after telling me it would be refunded. read more

We went last Friday for lunch buffet at 1pm. I believe it was about $16,00. We were the only customers in the place ( that should have been our clue). We had some of the small salad bar, no pizzas were ready. They ended up bringing out one meat pizza and bread sticks. There were 2 employees there, a woman came from the back to get herself a drink, the older gentleman stayed in the back, never saw him after we paid. My friend whom is a vegetarian went up to the counter. She called out hello several times . Man shouted out to hold on. When he came to the counter. Friend said that she was a vegetarian. Man was very aggressive and loud, basically said we should have told him at the beginning . Looked up on Google because I was hungry to find a pizza nearby and Mountain Mike's was close by, I get there at 9:00 p.m. and on the website it states that the establishment closes at 10:00 p.m. with that being said we order a pizza they said it would have to be taken to go because by the time it will be finished cooking the restaurant closes... no big deal as we're waiting for a pizza I observe the walls. Just a couple big screen TVs and no artwork whatsoever. No alcohol decor, sports memorabilia all the things etc and this by far has been the most boringest plainest Mountain Mike's I've ever been in. Staff was nice I'm not complaining about that whatsoever. The salad bar was already broken down by 9 p.m. and when I asked to use the restroom one of the staff members told me I could not use it because the floors were wet which is fine and said I had to wait 5 minutes before I could use it no big deal I use the restroom when the 5 minutes was up, after I did my business I tried to flush the toilet and the toilet handle was hanging by a thread and there was no way to flush it so I literally had to take off the tank cover and pull up the handle on the inside of the tank to flush the toilet. Everything was nice and clean in here. Even in the restaurant itself, but going forward this is just constructive criticism, I am by no means not still going to pay for Mountain Mike's because I love their Pizza. I just hope that management can fix these really easy issues and not close so damn early or close at 9:00 p.m.. read more

I don't usually post reviews but I just had to say that the pizza we bought at Mountain Mike's tonight in Orangevale was outstanding. Plus, on Tuesday nights, their large pizzas are 30% off (with or without a coupon). We got the Everest Combo with garlic cream sauce and it had lots of meats and cheeses and the crust was outstanding. On top of that, the staff were very friendly. He told me I could take my business elsewhere for all he cared, it was my fault according to his ticket and then he hung up on me. I have been a customer of this location for 15 years and would never have returned if not for the Manager Ronnie, Ronnie called back and said he was sorry for the situation and said the other half of our pizza would be ready in 10 minutes.
