In a busy city, I would give this place a 3-star review, but because of the limited opportunities in this mountain town, it gets 4-stars today. Small coffee shop off the main road from Bobs Market. There is room for about 13 seating inside including two pub style tables. Everything is made fresh to order so don't expect a quick in and out especially if there are other patrons her. There was a one employee working and could have been a bit more friendly, but to each is own. There is a sign at the register that reads "please be patient, everything is made to order. We are a small business, not Starbucks." The coffee is good. The breakfast burritos are just ok . There wasn't any salsa or hot sauce for the burrito so it was a bit plain. The fact that they are open on a Tuesday morning while the competition is closed Tuesday and Wednesdays like a few other businesses to match China Peak days/hours is pretty good. Cheers!

I can definitely appreciate this coffee shop. As it's the main one in downtown Shaver . The food was good, service was fine just didn't seem too friendly or maybe the guy was a little anti social. Anyway, as I've mentioned the coffee was great just didn't end up taking photos of our food/drinks. We got a turkey wrap and a croissant breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich seemed better than the wrap as my fam didn't really finish it.

Mountain Tripper is a little coffee shop that is open early and has a wide variety of options for morning coffee as well as some quick breakfast. It seems like it's a pretty popular spot and frequented by many of the locals. It is a quaint little shack tucked into a shopping center with pine trees, and a cute little raccoon carving out front. We went there early on Sunday morning and there were quite a few people coming in and out. We had a pretty large order, but it was ready almost right away. The breakfast wrap was a bit on the small side, but super tasty and enough to keep the hunger at bay. My daughters enjoyed the açai bowls and the oatmeal was also pretty great with some beautiful berries that were on top. Overall, this is a pretty good place to grab a coffee and a quick breakfast on your way out to the lake or the trails. Five stars!

We stopped at Mountain Tripper Cafe after we checked out of our cabin for Memorial weekend. It was really busy and the parking lot was nearly full. Lots of people were also leaving the area after checking out so it made the food and drinks take a bit long but I understand it, really cute and cosy shop with 3-4 employees in a small space. But they did a good job of handling the crowd and we weren't in a rush cause we took in the last of the area before heading back to Fresno. The smoothies were really refreshing and made perfectly... the breakfast croissants were also really good. I believe the wrap was good but I didn't ask my brother-in-law. Some seating inside and lots of seating outside as well.

Great place to get coffee in the morning . All of the drinks tasted pretty good . Went here a few times since this looked like the only cafe in Shaver lake. They have sandwiches and breakfast croissants . I really loved my breakfast croissant . It was cooked perfectly and it was delicious . The sandwich was ok . They didn't put much turkey in the sandwich. Would probably skip this the next time. I would say the pricing is a little high . I purchased 2 coffees and 2 sandwich's and it was almost $40 . Inflation is crazy nowadays. I'd come back again for the drinks and the breakfast croissant .

This place is nothing compared to what Blue Sky Cafe used to be. Where are the waffles and crepes?

I stopped in for breakfast mid week... they were the only place open for breakfast at that moment! And I now know why: they were the best place in town, excellent food excellent smoothie polite, efficient and clean! No need for anybody else to be open! Definitely a great spot to stop!

Amazing staff and great atmosphere, staff was very helpful and helped me figure out what I wanted to eat. Food was brought out very fast. The guy with the brown hair and glasses was very nice. I also got a mango milkshake! Very delicious.

Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were informed a 45-minute to 1-hour wait for a table. Perturbingly and hungrily, we waited. Our drink order included Modelo Michelada, Peach Lemonade, juice, and milk. When we were seated we were then told that the kitchen was extremely backed up and it wouldn't be another 45+ minutes until they can even take our order. Thankfully they were able to take our drink order first so we got to enjoy the view. We were starving by the time we finally got our food, everything was fried since we decided to get their sampler platter and fried calamari. The food was pretty decent, I think I just got sick of it pretty fast because everything felt very heavy. I would probably only come back for the views next time I'm in the area, and get some drinks and light apps!

That is exactly what happened during my recent dinner at Elderberry House. I visited with a group of four, and between us, we had two gluten-free diners and one vegetarian. After a quick heads-up the day before, the restaurant handled our needs with total ease. We went for the five-course tasting menu, and it was incredible from start to finish. We kicked things off with one of the best oysters I have ever had, followed by a beautiful tuna presentation. The kitchen even looked out for our gluten-free friends with a special version of their herbal-butter focaccia that was actually delicious. By the time the main courses arrived, I honestly could not decide if I liked my beef or my friend's snap pea risotto better; every single bite was pure perfection. The cocktails were another high point. My first drink was great, but after chatting with our server, Jordan, I decided to try the Last Word. It featured that hard-to-find green chartreuse, and I am a little annoyed to report that I have a new favorite cocktail that requires such a rare ingredient. The service is what really made the night so special. Jordan was so charismatic and helpful, making sure we were perfectly taken care of all evening. He was so good that I almost worried a second visit would not be the same without him, though the rest of the staff quickly put that fear to rest. Abby was so friendly and responsible for a truly unique but perfect-for-the-vibe playlist, and Chris the mixologist even stopped by to geek out about gin and cocktails with us. From the genuine care for our food sensitivities to the clever touch of the iPad check-in hidden in an elegant binder, it was a night for the books. I cannot recommend this place enough and look forward to bringing my family next!

After 15 minutes, we were told that a wedding party had reserved the entire bar and we had to finish our drinks outside in the cold, where there were no seats. We were told that they knew the wedding party had reserved the bar and would be arriving at some point in the evening. Now I can understand that neither the server nor the bartender made the reservation or knew exactly when the bar would have to be closed down. However, they should have told us that the bar would be closing, and given us the opportunity to go somewhere else. They also should have refunded our drinks, because it was their fault not to have warned us beforehand. This is simply an example of poor management.
