Mountain Tripper is a little coffee shop that is open early and has a wide variety of options for morning coffee as well as some quick breakfast. It seems like it's a pretty popular spot and frequented by many of the locals. It is a quaint little shack tucked into a shopping center with pine trees, and a cute little raccoon carving out front. We went there early on Sunday morning and there were quite a few people coming in and out. We had a pretty large order, but it was ready almost right away. The breakfast wrap was a bit on the small side, but super tasty and enough to keep the hunger at bay. My daughters enjoyed the açai bowls and the oatmeal was also pretty great with some beautiful berries that were on top. Overall, this is a pretty good place to grab a coffee and a quick breakfast on your way out to the lake or the trails. Five stars!

We stopped at Mountain Tripper Cafe after we checked out of our cabin for Memorial weekend. It was really busy and the parking lot was nearly full. Lots of people were also leaving the area after checking out so it made the food and drinks take a bit long but I understand it, really cute and cosy shop with 3-4 employees in a small space. But they did a good job of handling the crowd and we weren't in a rush cause we took in the last of the area before heading back to Fresno. The smoothies were really refreshing and made perfectly... the breakfast croissants were also really good. I believe the wrap was good but I didn't ask my brother-in-law. Some seating inside and lots of seating outside as well.

Great place to get coffee in the morning . All of the drinks tasted pretty good . Went here a few times since this looked like the only cafe in Shaver lake. They have sandwiches and breakfast croissants . I really loved my breakfast croissant . It was cooked perfectly and it was delicious . The sandwich was ok . They didn't put much turkey in the sandwich. Would probably skip this the next time. I would say the pricing is a little high . I purchased 2 coffees and 2 sandwich's and it was almost $40 . Inflation is crazy nowadays. I'd come back again for the drinks and the breakfast croissant .

This place is nothing compared to what Blue Sky Cafe used to be. Where are the waffles and crepes?

I stopped in for breakfast mid week... they were the only place open for breakfast at that moment! And I now know why: they were the best place in town, excellent food excellent smoothie polite, efficient and clean! No need for anybody else to be open! Definitely a great spot to stop!

    Mango Milkshake

Amazing staff and great atmosphere, staff was very helpful and helped me figure out what I wanted to eat. Food was brought out very fast. The guy with the brown hair and glasses was very nice. I also got a mango milkshake! Very delicious.

Amazing people with great customer service. I didn't get there names but it's a family owned business. I was looking for breakfast spots and this place hit the spot ! Good food and drinks. It was maybe 20-30 min wait but well worth it.

The Mountain Tripper is my go to for morning coffee and bagels. Awesome little shop, tucked right off of the main drag. Always greeted with a smile. My Carmel Macchiato was perfect, substantial coffee taste, unlike most. Great Carmel flavor, as well. The everything bagel was lightly toasted, with cheese, warm egg, salt and pepper to finish. Awesome warm, to go, breakfast. Easy, delicious, convenient. A must, when at Shaver Lake.

I like this place, very nice staff, and a comfortable atmosphere. It is a quite popular spot. Good interior, with a lot of small interesting details. The menu is small but it is enough. The food is good, coffee and tea well made. We took breakfast bagel, croissant and asai bowl. Staff is friendly, attentive

Food and smoothies were delicious. Service and ambiance were a bit dull, but I would go back.

Food and coffee are good, people are nice, but they are so slow. You'll need an hour to "stop in" for a breakfast sandwich

The food quality, taste or lack there of, and plate presentation is lacking. We ordered: The Calamari Steak appetizer. It was mushy, cold, and flavorless. $22 Pine Nut Salad with Grilled Chicken (+$14) I thought it would be like Dog House Grills Salad. NO. It was disgusting, lack of substance, flavor, presentation etc. how do you mess up a salad?? Filet Mignon- ordered medium. Over cooked to med well/well done. They smooshed this $50+ entree on to the smallest plate. 1/2 rack of lamb chops. My poor husband was absolutely bamboozled LOL. There was a SMALL bite of meat on each "chop" they were also dry and overcooked. The Drinks: Margarita and Old Fashion were very good! 4/5 stars! If you decide to stop here; do yourself a favor and save time and money by just grabbing a drink at the bar. Don't eat the flavorless, disappointing food. The owners need to taste the food coming out of that kitchen and manage plate presentation.
