Coffee was good . Ordered a latte and it was tasty. They also have some nice muffins to choose from but a little liter in choice. Found it a little expensive for what you get. Great Hidden Spot This is a lovely, cozy place with great hospitality. It can be a little difficult to find the first time around, so definitely rely on your GPS. Cozy and modern vibes at this coffee shop. It's different from others because they make your order first before paying, which kind of led to a longer line. Plus only 1 person was taking orders and making the drinks. Even so, service was still pretty great as the barista was able to provide some recommendations. We tried their snickerdoodle latte, hot chocolate, and maple sea salt latte. Both lattes were subtle and light in terms of sweetness. For the price point, I wouldn't say that there's anything special that would make it worth the price per drink. I haven't tried the coffee yet, but the matcha latte was fantastic. I ordered the matcha and two muffins--one chocolate and one lemon cranberry. The matcha had the perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness and tasted really rich. The chocolate muffin was great, with a deep, rich chocolate flavor, and the lemon cranberry was interesting and surprisingly tasty. The service was excellent, and the place has a cozy ambiance. UPDATE: I tried the Vanilla Latte this time, and it's also super rich with the perfect amount of bitterness--the flavor of the beans really comes through. I think the interior and ambiance of this place is spectacular. Love this kind of cabin, open design. It's convenient near a fishing shop we needed some bait from. It's cool that they also serve wine. Service was really good with other people there & fine for us. They went above and beyond speaking with certain people, but didn't really talk much with my group. It wasn't super busy, but maybe the others are locals or regulars, which is fine...we left to check out the shop next door while waiting for our coffees. The coffee was pretty good. Shout out to the barista who was working here early morning on 11/30! She had that great "morning person" energy and was super friendly and chipper despite being the only one working in a cafe w a huge line. I loved her attention to detail- she proactively remade my drink bc the first time she made the espresso she didn't like how it came out. Came here and worked my little heart out. I had great focus and the coffee is good. I think a little pricey but pretty worth. I got the iced snickerdoodle latte and it was very well balanced not too sweet. Our coffee was ready super quick too. There is a good amount of seating about 3 floors but when I went it was packed almost all seats were taken but we got lucky and someone left. Okay, I'm not a coffee snob, connoisseur of fine espresso and seldom if ever partake in the foofoo fare of coffee or teas. Having said this, I drink coffee, a lot of it. I drink espresso, a lot of it. We stopped in Black Velvet while on a morning walk. My other half asked for a decaf cappuccino... "we don't do decaf cappuccinos". She then asked if they had a decaf tea. "No we don't have decaf tea". Okay, can I get an iced decaf espresso? "I can do a double decaf espresso". The barista gave the appearance of being annoyed. We should have simply left. But hey, we all have things going in our lives that sometimes are difficult to not wear on our outer selves. She makes the iced espresso and places it on the counter. Then she makes my double espresso. Places it on the counter, never saying a single word and turns and walks away. Alrighty then. We wonder outside, find a seat and sit down. Beautiful morning sun. We sip in unison and both, instantly say "WTF?" I say this is without a doubt to worst espresso I have ever had. My other half says "this is horrid". If bitter, acidic, small pour (not even close to being a double) espresso is what you seek, this might be the place for you. If you are looking decaf tea or any of the other coffee flavored drinks in decaf, this is not the place for you. If service with an attitude and indifference is your thing, stop in and enjoy. read more

This place is amazing! It is owned and ran by a local. You can find him roasting coffee beans in-house weekly. It is clear that they are very discerning about the beans they buy. The coffee is phenomenal and it helps that the baristas dial in the espresso before every shift. Their syrups are also made in house, they offer the usual flavors but they also make specialty flavors. I'm not a syrup type of gal but I do indulge here because they are made with so much love, you can taste it. One of my favorite things are the treats, they serve these amazing waffles and they also serve locally baked goods, so yummy. Oh yeah, they also search wine and beer, there's something for everyone. The place has an amazing vibe, with great music. It's three stories, there is comfy space, workspace and outdoor seating in case you have your dog. The service is amazing! I love the baristas, they are so kind, friendly and social, not to mention they remember what my favorite drinks are. Occasionally there is a line, but that is a testament to the quality they deliver, well worth a brief wait. Sure, there are other coffee shops in town, but you will not get anywhere close to the quality being served here. In the shopping center is a dimly lit coffee shop with some great drinks. Service is definitely on the slower side - I get it, good coffee takes time, but having a single person run the show and shelling out for a cup of java is a combo that is annoying but I suppose worth waiting for. One thing they have that I find very hard to find is Kyoto drip, which is a cold brew that really takes away a lot of the bitterness and makes extra potently strong cold coffee. It's excellent and highly recommend for those who like cold drinks or a caffeine boost. I added some vanilla syrup to it, but it was super faint to the point where I wasn't sure if it was even there. The oat latte was tasty and the pour over was good, nothing special though. The downside when we were at BV on a Sunday morning was the wait time. The line was three parties long and the barista was by herself. She took only one order at a time, prepared it, and then rang it up. It took a long time to get two cups of coffee. While I appreciate a good cup of pour over, it wasn't better than drip coffee I've had from other local spots in Mammoth and took about 5 times as long. They do seem to have a pretty good happy hour with local beer and wine. They also have a merch shop with fresh beans and to-go options. This place is really cool. I ended up ordering the horchata latte. For me. The Flavor was perfect. Just needed to be a little hotter. Maybe a little longer with steamer on the froth. Over all I Loved it. I also had the blueberry muffin. That was tasty too. I loved that it was not overly sweet. Great amount of blueberries to muffin ratio. Sadly they don't warm it up.
