You need to double check the work that they do, unless you have a mechanic in the family like I do, you are going to want to read this review and think long and hard about bringing your vehicle to this shop. It's taken me over 3 months to get my car in proper working order after taking it to Mountain View Automotive for steering issues. In this review I will show how Mountain View Automotive is dishonest, incompetent, mismanaged, and not respectful of their customers time, money, or, most importantly, safety. In January, I was having steering issues with my car so after looking around at some different shops and reading some reviews on Google, I decided to go with Mountain View Automotive. According to Google reviews, they seemed like a decent place to bring my car. Pay attention to the negative reviews. Store Manager and Service Advisor: Arturo Alvarado Technician: Joshua B. 1/10/24: I dropped my car off. 1/11/24: I received inspection results Arturo immediately tried to sell me replacement struts and shocks. I had to press him about what was causing my steering issues. Red flag. Long story short, I was told that I needed both Suspension Lower Control Arms and Steering Tie Rods replaced, costing over $2100. I agreed and they began the work. According to them my battery died, another $300. 1/15/24: car was ready to pick up After picking up my car, I immediately noticed it was not driving as it should. I contacted Arturo and explained this, and he told me it was because of the shocks and struts, which I later found to be untrue. 1/24/24: I brought the car to my brother in law, who is a retired mechanic with a backyard shop and lift. -They put two left side control arms instead of a left and right. They flipped a left side control arm and modified it to make it fit one the right side. -The didn't install the washers or nuts on the ends of either control arm that holds on the bushings. - They let me drive away like this, putting my life, the lives of my family, and the lives of other drivers on the road in danger. I confronted Arturo about this with pictures I took. He blamed the mechanic and agreed to fix the issues. 1/24/24: I dropped my car off a second time for them to fix the issues. 1/26/24: Arturo called and told me that he couldn't source the right side control arm, he told me the part was "extinct" and not available. I did a 10 second Google search and found it at an auto parts store. I bought my own part and Arturo agreed to install it. 2/1/24: dropped my car off a third time with the correct part. Picked my car up the next day. My car still wasn't handling properly. An unsettling rattling was coming from the front driver's side. 4/3/24: I anxiously drove my car like this for two months until my mechanic had and opportunity to take another look. - still missing washers on ends of both control arms where bushings are connected - incorrect nut on end of left control arm where bushings are connected causing the threads of brand new control arm to cross threaded. - missing nut on sway bar link on left front - ball joint on left control arm loose and installed upside down, causing rattling After 3 months of anxiety inducing driving, I finally have my car driving and handling properly. Taking my car to this shop was a huge waste of time and the anxiety of driving and not knowing what they screwed up on my car for three months was not enjoyable. The fact that I was given my car to drive like this is a sign of mis-management, incompetence, lack of respect for my time, money and the safety of me, my family and other drivers on the road. World class customer service! A couple with 3 minor children ended up experiencing homelessness because their car broke down on their way to NV. They didn't have the money to get their car fixed. It's thanks to these gentlemen from the Mountain View Automotive and Adams County Human Services linking arms with us to get this family back on the road again! Mountain View Automotive embraced our client and exceeded our expectations. They truly did an amazing job and we can't thank them enough! For all your automotive needs, contact Mountain View Automotive at (303) 287-2859 or visit, MtnViewAutomotive.com. At Mountain View Automotive, our entire staff is committed to providing you with the highest quality automotive repair, including honest and fair pricing you can trust. I have had two vehicles serviced here and I would easily recommend Mountain View Automotive to my friends and family.

Been Yelping for a while I never want to leave a review such as this but I felt compelled to let…read morepeople know my experience. I had scheduled to go to my normal mechanic but had reasons to need to get an oil change sooner than they can get me in, my partner has been coming to this grease monkey and hadn't had issues so I THOUGHT I could trust his experience. They got me in and out in 15 mins on a Wednesday mid morning and I drove away feeling great, happy I got something checked off of my "to do" before hosting guests in town. Until I found a pool of grease in my drive way after getting home from some errands. When I left their office they said everything checked out great, they recommended transmission fluid change that I declined as I want to do that w my mechanic.... and there were no issues when I was paying. They failed to tell me that they found a leaky drain plug before they performed the oil change. Did not call attention to it during the process or when I signed, said everything checked out fine, took my money, which was about $80 after coupon and tax for the house synthetic..... Yes, I should have read the paper before signing... I also should have been notified that they found issues, before they decided to swap out my oil. In looking at the reviews, they probably damaged my drain plug during their speedy process, put a note on my receipt and got me out in a jiffy. The really trippy part, was when I took it back that same day in the afternoon, asked them kindly on how they can help me, that I was not notified of the issue before the oil change. I was told - that's our cashier's fault for not telling you, nothing we can do. The messenger asked me who helped me as the cashier and said let me check with my manager on what we can do... The manager did not come out to address, hiding in the bay below deck, spoke through the rep - the messenger only said that since the note is on the receipt and I signed, they are not liable for anything and I'm out of luck - though I can take my car to Big O's down the street and they might be able to give me a good discount as they are partners. They were able to tighten the screw more so it's leaking less - my problem was that my car was not leaking before I got there. The worst part, is the person I was speaking to said that they are not real mechanics and do not have the tools to help me. I then asked if there is anything they can do to address the lack of responsibility potentially with something on my payment due to their cashier not informing me of the issue. It couldn't have been done. I called my normal mechanic right away and they were going to help me but I'm nervous that GM had done more damage to my vehicle in order to partner with another business for additional gains. I am glad this is a lesson I learned the hard way... would recommend anyone to go ahead and skip this location. Especially now I've read reviews on Yelp w other female customers. I was a first time customer here and this would also be the last time. Just hope my mechanic would be able to fix the issue quickly and easily. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, do yourself a favor and skip this inexperienced location before they damage your car further. Off my soap box.
