I asked if they would apply that to the repair if you have the service done there like most shops. The answer was no. Tells you that they just want to jack up the price. Wish they had a zero stars rating. they also told me that they would likely have to pull the intake manifold and it would take 3 labor hrs and didn't tell me how much that was and I was afraid to ask. These guys really took care of my car I have a Nissan Murano that I bought foolishly without doing research and the year I got apparently has a lot of problems with the transmission so they diagnosed the transmission issue for free that was perk number one then they were able to change the transmission in just three days and get me on a payment plan so I could pay the balance of the work they did it did act a little funny after I picked it up but I called them took it back and they looked at it again got the problem resolved right away so now my vehicle is running perfect I really appreciate the hard work and special attention they showed to my problem I have two kids another on the way and they did everything they could to make me feel welcome and safe with there work I would definitely recommend them to everyone who needs work done read more

No, No, No! They wanted to charge me $1821.91 to do 3 repairs on my Jeep. I promptly took it somewhere else and they told me one repair was not needed... the second could wait, and did the third for 184.92. I asked how much it would have cost to do all three and was told if I had all three repairs done at their shop it would have been $600 - $700. On the estimate Mountain View gave me, it shows a charge of $269.83 for the spark plug wires alone! Are you kidding me? I paid Mountain View $65 just to look at my car. I guess that's how they pay for the valet service! If you have unlimited funds this is the place for you... if not... run away! read more

Save yourself the time and aggrivation by going somewhere else, go to a place that cares about their customers and their vehicles. Had a 12:00 appt. for an alignment, dropped vehicle off at about 11:30 and they said come back around 4 and it will for sure be done by then. Well, 4 o'clock shows up and I get there and find out my vehicle hadn't even been touched yet. The advisor was very rude and unprofessional, not only to me but other customers over the phone, said I can leave it over night or bring it back tomorrow. I then asked will it be done first thing, since I did have an appt for the current day, and his response was " no, might be able to have it done by tomorrow night." He was hung up on the fact that my vehicle was lowered and I felt he knew his techs couldn't handle it. I ended up going elsewhere and they had me in and out in 45 min and was able to get my alignment right back into factory specs. I am actually glad now that they didn't work on my vehicle, cause I don't think they have the skills to do it anyway with how they where talking. The choice is yours on if you go here or not, but I wanted to share how my experience went. I am new to town and thought I may have found a good shop, well turns out I was wrong. Mountain View's reply to this review is "untrue". As a woman in her sixties, with a limited income, I have spent according to receipts I found - almost $9,000 since April of 2009 on work ranging from routine to major repairs, including an engine swap and re-wiring. I depend on reliable and honest mechanical work to keep my cherished 1976 Blazer (owned since 1985) maintained and operating safely. Not only did Mountain View Garage (MVG) fail miserably, I was basically 86'd out of Mountain View Garage repair shop - the first such experience in my life and a very humiliating one at that. I suggest you keep your mothers, wives, daughters, and sisters away from this shop. As a regular customer at Mountain View Garage, I have always been civil and understanding about the numerous repairs that required return visits. The only reason I returned was Sean, the owner, appeared professional and concerned enough to try to make things right. But even Sean's attempts at "making things right" with discounts or "favors", involved more bad mechanical work and costly estimates for absolutely unnecessary repairs. Giving Mountain View Garage the full benefit of the doubt, much of the work was shoddy and inexcusably poor work. Despite all the money I paid and all the visits, my truck was sometimes left unsafe to drive. The last repair MVG did was rewiring. It began with a blown turn signal fuse, which MVG originally charged me $65 to replace, telling me it was fixed. The fuse blew again after two turns. Sean offered a "discounted" cost of $363 (including the $65) for complete rewiring. After the rewiring, my truck had crossed wires, bad grounds, wires hanging down loose and newly taped splices instead of proper connectors. I had entirely new problems and I'm wondering what else they did in there and if I even needed it to begin with. Because of this, I couldn't haul my horse trailer and had to pay a $71 charge for the vet to come to me. The third time I took it back is when Sean refused to return my call and I was told they would no longer service my truck - instructions handed down by Sean. I have since gone to a different shop that took care of just the obvious MVG wiring problems for an additional $90 and also replaced the MVG transmission pan gasket that was still leaking for $122. The gasket is also something I asked MVG to recheck, among other things. Instead, his lady at the counter, Cynthia, argued with me about everything, claiming they were not responsible, etc. It was the most frustrating conversation I can remember having with a repair shop in my life. I told her I no longer wanted to talk to her, that I wanted to talk to Sean and finally hung up. MVG mechanics are terrible at diagnostic work, leading to quotes for unnecessary work. They could not diagnose and repair a $15 windshield washer pump. I was quoted $400 for a speedometer repair and it turned out to be only the cable, which was repaired by a different shop for $19. MVG quote for the transfer case seal was $535 but went up to more than $800 for a rebuild that they then insisted I needed because I asked out of curiosity how much a rebuild would cost. In the past, I had a rebuilt Jasper engine installed for $4,100 and they installed the wrong engine! The loaner car was a greasy parts truck and it took over a month instead of 5 days. They didn't even do a proper tune-up afterward. MVG owes me $646. ($453 for a bad wiring job and follow-up repair, $71 loss of trailer use, and $122 for the transmission pan gasket). Update......... I was impressed, and pleasantly surprised, that the garage took the time to call me minutes after the review posted. They then called the current place the car was being repaired at and got everything worked out with the part warranty. Made sure to call back again and insure we were happy. Upgraded the stars for the quick, friendly service this time. Didn't give 5 stars because the other issues still existed from the first visit. I might be willing to be a repeat customer now though if the lady I spoke to this time is any indication of a new direction they are moving in. Previous review: These people overcharged us and when I priced around and told them they were overcharging they guaranteed me that the price reflected the quality of their parts. We were over a barrel and had to get our vehicle asap and the dealer (who I might ad had a lifetime warranty on part and was $500 cheaper) couldn't get us in for a week. Now 3 mo later need new parts. I guess their quality parts are poor quality. Yes I was disappointed. Didn't notify us till we went to pay that they didn't take American Express. Big ordeal and I am planning on sending the new bill I pay tomorrow to them as their guarantee should pay for my new parts. read more

This garage overcharges substantially for parts and overstates their labor times. I visited this garage becuse it was nearby and they had time to get me in quickly. I needed a front wheel bearing replaced on a 2008 Subaru Impreza and I had already called a Subaru dealer to quote the part ($150) and labor (1.5 hours) for reference. Since dealerships tend to run a little on the expensive side I went to drop the car off at Mountain View epecting an estimate of $300 or less. Much to my surprise they told me the part would be $275 and they would require 4.8 hours of labor!! I explained that I could get the part straight from Subaru for $150 and after going back and fourth for a while they finally agreed to lower their part cost to match the $150 but would not budge on the labor. All said and done they were going to charge me just under $600. I told them this was not acceptable and ended up scheduling an appt with the dealership even though it will take longer and cost me a further drive. Its worth it to save $300! Long story short, I would stay away from this price gouging shop at all costs....go to Valley Subaru in Longmont instead. read more

Tried making an appointment for an oil change and they completely just gave me the run around! First of all i was on hold for five minutes and then got hung up on. I gave them a call back and i asked how much it would be for an oil change again and the guy said it'd be $35 for a basic oil change so i proceeded to make an appointment. After giving the guy all of my information he then decided to tell me how much my oil change would really be ($55), i still wanted to proceed with the appointment even though i usually pay around $45. After all that he then tells me the time of my appointment, apparently they only had ONE opening on a Thursday at 8am which i could not make it at that time and they couldnt do 30 mins later, so i had to cancel the appointment. Bottom line the first questions you should be asked when inquiring about an oil change is THE TYPE OF CAR and then LET THE PERSON KNOW WHAT TIMES YOU HAVE AVAILABLE before proceeding with the appointment. I call and talked with Mark and asked if they could get my F150 in for a general maintenance check. It has 120K miles and never been to a shop. Mark said bring it in and they would perform a 32 point inspection for free. I dropped it off the evening before the appointment and they were happy to do so. Cody called me the next morning by 9:30 and said he had finished the inspection. He told me what the truck needed for service. none of what he told me was unexpected since it had not been serviced in a 120,000 miles. He quoted me a price and I authorized the work. Cody called by by 12:00 the next day to tell me that all the work on my truck had been finished and I could pick it up at my convenience. I asked what the final cost was, he told me the same as what they had originally quoted. He also told me to be sure to check out their web site and the internet to find some money saving coupons. I was able to fine a coupon for 120.00 off. The techs are top notch and I have not had any follow up problems on any of the work i've had done. I had brought my car in for the first time. They seemed nice at first until they tried to tell me things that I knew for sure wasn't true. One staff member is very aggressive when you are upset and from the responses from some of the reviews they seem to do the same thing online. I brought my car in and after I got it back, my car will now not run. It is now having problems that it did not have before. The staff is refusing to take responsibility for the damage they caused to my vehicle as well. I do not recommend this place. Also, I had overheard a conversation between another customer and a staff member about damage to his vehicle that they caused. They tried to deny it and say that it was someone else, but the customer was able to stand up for himself and prove that it was them that caused the damage. It is not worth your money to just get your car back and not have it run. If I could give a lower rating than just one star, I would. Also, after I posted my original review, I got a call from the shop almost immediately of them accusing me of being a liar and that I am making things up. Which proves my point on the aggressive attitude I have been experiencing. This is all I have been experiencing since I brought my car into the shop. I told them that I would not be bringing my car back. Even though I told him the damage we found and about the conversation I heard, they still are accusing me of making things up. Be careful when writing a review and to expect a phone call back blaming you of not telling the truth and making things up if you are an unhappy customer. read more

Highway Robbers are still out there! my wife's Tahoe broke down and was towed to this place by AAA (they were great). I'm mechanicaly capable and knew the alternator needed to be replaced. Googled the part ($150 to $200) and was expecting the repair to be about $350 - Holly Cow! they wanted just over $900! After asking for a breakdown and a second parts search the price came down to an even $400 - we live in Centennial and needed this work done to avoid a second tow. I called this place because it was one of the better reviewed auto repair shops and was sorely disappointed. I am trying to feel out what kind of repairs am I needing and the guy I talked to on the phone refused to say anything but "bring it in". Hey if my money tree ever sprouts in my back yard I will just not care anymore how I spend my money. This guy just didn't want to do anything but get me in over the phone. By the way this is not my first repair shop rodeo and I have gone to one of those places where all they did is say bring it in. They know you are "usually" stuck and bent over a barrel and are more than willing to take advantage of you and your situation and that is how they greet you "bring it in" and we wont even give you a clue what you might be in for.
