I made an appointment online with Stephen Meneely. My Mom and I walked in the day before my birthday. ('Cause she's one of my besties and I needed the mental support.) As many of you know, a car purchase can be stressful and convoluted. This experience was neither. We were greeted by the receptionist. After we walked over to Stephen's desk, he asked if we wanted water, a soda, or coffee. After we got our beverages, we started the trade/purchase process. Throughout the process, Stephen remained calm, informed me of my options, and never pushed me towards the most expensive car on the lot. He pointed out the safety and security features on every car I looked at. And the car I chose comes with a complimentary first oil change, discount coupon book, and a lifetime warranty. Would not buy from this dealership. Saw a suv online for 24,700. Went to the dealership, test drove and was interested in buying it. When the guy returned with the paper, the total was 29,000. It showed the price of the car at 25,700, with a bunch of other things added to the total. When questioned he told me that the lower price was the online price if I was financing, which I was not. I have never been to a dealership before where they raise the price of the car if you don't finance with them. Their business practices are absolutely absurd. Brought my car into MVN to check two recalls I'd been notified of via mail by Nissan. I was promptly greeted by a service person who walked me through the process and showed me where I may get a coffee or water in their waiting area...comfortable place. The check on my car took a couple hours and at completion the service person explained what took place and then spent about 10 minutes answering some questions I had about various safety components of my car. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would certainly revisit MVN for my car needs based upon my first experience. read more

I was having charging problems on my 10 month old Nissan Kicks. I called Mt View and told them I didn't think it was warranty because I had over 36000 miles. The service man on the phone said it would be free to diagnose it. I took my car in and they said I needed a new alternator and battery for over $2000. They then said because I signed my car in that I owed $110 for the diagnosis. I argued but paid it. The next day I went by Express Oil in Ft Oglethorpe and told a mechanic I trust what happened. He said he would check it out for free. After a 20 minute wait he had my car ready and said he cleaned some contacts and the alternator started working. It's been working ever since. My View cheated me out of $110 and I'm glad I didn't let them cheat me out of $2000 more like they wanted read more

I bought a 2018 Nissan Pathfinder here with 16k. In less than a year, it was smoking like crazy. I took it to them, they said it was the engine and I needed a new one. I got the 4 oil change records together and took them for them to tell me my warranty wouldn't cover a new motor and it would cost me $18,000 for a new one. I went and picked up the car without letting them do anything. Took it home, had my neighbor who is a mechanic change my oil, spark plugs and do a transmission flush. That was a year and 3 months ago. I get regular oil changes not from them, and it's still running with the same engine. Now, I'm having trouble with the RPM's bottoming out while I drive down the road. I'm going to clean the max air flow sensor and hope that fixes it. The car has 56k miles on it and it's got more problems than it's worth. It's overpriced and a lemon. My car loan is at 3% interest. I've been paying on that car 2 years and still owe $31k on it. It's crazy. Oh, and when I tried to trade it in before I had any problems out of it, no one would take it because it had been wrecked and that wasn't disclosed to me when I bought it. They completely suck. I'll never own another Nissan. read more

Our salesman was nice and we thought we had a good experience. However, we decided the vehicle wasn't for us and we have been trying to trade it in. After showing them our paperwork from the purchase, we have been told by MULTIPLE car dealerships (including other Nissan dealerships) that we were SIGNIFICANTLY overcharged for this vehicle (by around $7,000!!!!). They couldn't believe how much the car was marked up above what it "should" have been for this base, fleet model. If our salesman and the finance guy hadn't been so nice, I would have hoped that Google had negative stars. Based on this experience, and what we have found out about this family of dealerships since this purchase, we will never buy a vehicle from any Mountain View again. We contacted Andy at this dealership about a used car that was listed at $9000. We offered to pay $8500 because we would need to have it shipped to us at a cost of $1500. His response was that he would run the offer past his boss and get back to us. The next day we played phone tag and on the third day he asked for my drivers license information so he could start the final sales paperwork. We did not hear anything back and the dealership was closing so we called and did a live chat with a different person and explained the situation. Andy finally called us back and gave us his apologies and let us know he would contact us in the morning with the contract. The next morning we get a call from Andy and he let us know someone was going to come and buy the car. The deal was off. Four hours later we get another call from Andy and we could have the car for $9784 if we still wanted ($1284 more than our offer). WARNING: BUYER BEWARE OF MT. VIEW NISSAN! I have been a longtime customer of Mt. View Nissan beginning the relationship in 2011. The relationship involves at least six (6) vehicle transactions including four brand new and two used vehicles from car to SUV to truck. I established a relationship with Brian Ballard for these transactions. My perception of Brian had come to be one of respect as he has been courteous, professional, and trustworthy. In fact, one time I was interested in a car, and he explicitly told me, "No, you do not want that one." My most recent purchase in July 2022 was a pre-owned 2017 Maxima for $31K. Since the purchase, a rattle began developing in the front of the vehicle, and it is progressing in severity. Being displeased and concerned, I became interested in trading in the Maxima and my 2017 Nissan Titan XD for a new Maxima as I really do love the brand and model. I contacted Brian on Tuesday, Nov 22, 2022 to discuss the car. Brian indicated I should come by after work. I was unable to come that day as I had to work late. Brian was flexible and scheduled an appointment for November 25th, 2022. Mt. View Nissan has a white Maxima, and as my preference is to have a black one, I discovered a Nissan dealership in Nashville having a black one available. I began email correspondence with the Nashville dealership on Wednesday, Nov 23, 2022. The associate was Prosperity at Action Nissan (307 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN Prosperity informed me of some very alarming details concerning my existing vehicle. First, she informed me that my car has had two (2) previous airbag deployments, and these deployments "will hurt my trade ability." As I was not aware of the deployments, nor was I made aware of them by Brian Ballad during my initial purchase, I was confused so I asked for clarification. Prosperity indicated she had pulled the Carfax information using the VIN number which indicated two (2) previous deployments. I remained in some disbelief as I paid full retail price for the Maxima. I did not believe full price should have been charged if there had been previous damage resulting from a minimum of two (2) wrecks deploying the airbags. Prosperity proceeds to offer a deal providing $48K combined trade allowance for the Maxima and Titan. Kelly Blue Book indicates the truck is worth just under $40K which would make an approximate $8K trade-in for a car purchased for $31K approximately four (4) months earlier. Proceed to Friday afternoon on November 25th, 2022, when Brian Ballard sends a text asking if I was still going to come down to view the new Maxima. I indicated I was not able to come down, and I also expressed my extreme disappointment and displeasure with the bad deal I was given earlier with a twice-wrecked car that may not even have airbags as advertised. Brian voiced concern and surprise about the airbags, as well, and he told me to bring the car down immediately so he could remedy the situation. Brian did some work and came back to me with an offer. Brian's new offer included a $5K increase over the website price with payments totaling the full retail price of a new purchase. When I questioned the $5K increase, Brian marked through the sales price and changed it to the website price. I used my phone to calculate a monthly price and total sales price as a double-check, and Brian agreed with what I had calculated. The new "offer" from Brian was $40K, $8K less than Nashville, with $28K for the truck and $11K for the car. Had I accepted the offer I was effectively giving away my existing truck and car, purchasing a new one, and losing $20K I previously paid which was, in effect, a serious overcharge. Brian reworked his offer, and then escalated this to another person at the dealership whose name and position I cannot recall, but the offers were effectively the same. After these final attempts at an offer I could accept, I received my keys, told Brian there was no greater than lesson than one bought and paid for, and I left. read more

Wow! We had a 0830 appointment. We arrive at 0800 and they promptly let us in. Our service writer was great and knew exactly what I was talking about. I showed him TSB which I had completed and they did not look foreign to him. I explained what I needed done and how many trouble shooting steps I completed before I ran out of tools. Needless to say he relayed all that info to the tech and my truck was completed in a short amount of time perfectly. I think this is my new Nissan dealer of choice. Sure it is two hours from home. When I got my truck hey said I was approved through TVFCU with a payment of $470 a month.Well a week later they call me and say "oh nevermind you didn't get approved through TVFCU, but you got approved through Nissan, so you'll have to come back in and sign papers again." Making my payment go up to $499 a month. So I did I went back and signed papers again. And then 2 weeks later I get yet ANOTHER call saying my payment was too high so they HAVE to take my GAP insurance off and take off my warranty to get my payment down. I ended up getting talked into a Nissan through this Dealership. I came in with my 3 year old child and the Dealer was very nice starting off but when it started to get close to closing time it was obvious the dealer was getting very annoyed and frustrated about staying. Which was making me feel guilty, At one point I was asking questions about the car and he stopped me midsentence, dropped his papers on the desk and said "You need to tell me if you are going to buy a car or not, Cause if not I'm wasting my time." It was very unexpectedly rude. I was caught off guard by it. At the same time I was trying to take care of my child who was also visibly upset too. With my Child and the Dealer upset and being stopped midsentence with my questions. I didn't have alot of time to think or plan ahead and was feeling immense pressure & made the spontaneous decision to get the car. (I knew it was something I wanted to think about first but I was put on the spot with alot pressure by the dealer.) Once we called about the insurance I knew there was no way to afford the Car & Insurance together. (I called atleast 7-10 places with him about insurance) So I apologized about the whole situation and told them I needed my car back that I brought in as the trade in & take back the Nissan. He said everything was closed & come back the next day to fix it, So I did. The next day they took over a hour & half to talk to me and when he finally did he told me that he's working on fixinging it but it needs to take a week for everything to come through. (little did I know he was processing the paper work I filled out within that week instead) So when I came back he said everything had already been done and nothing they could do about it. I ended up voluntarily repossessing the Nissan. They took my orginal car as a trade in and wouldn't give it back. Even knowing I have a 3 year old to support they didn't care a single bit. They already got the paperwork and money from pressuring me into it. So they were done. It was a dirty and slimy tactic by Mtn View Nissan Of Dalton on top of them telling me to keep coming back to help fix it when the whole time they was actually processing the paperwork. I'm still paying for the Nissan in the Auction fee they ended up doing for it. I Still don't have a reliable car of my own after they took my orginal Honda. This place cares for your money ONLY. My Credit went from a 730 to 495. It has effected me and my childs life within the past year for the worst. DO NOT GO HERE. It's dirty, predatory, slimy, greedy, selfish, rude, rapacious. I had an urgent problem requiring a replacement FOB key for a keyless ignition car. I called a couple dealerships-one of them required multiple roll-overs back to the front desk before finally connecting to service-who quoted a very high price. I tried the other place-Mountain View Nissan and was immediately connected to a highly knowledgeable service manager who quoted me a price very much less than the previous dealer...took all my info and had it waiting when I arrived a couple hours later. In spite of being there over an extremely busy holiday period, they made sure that I was in and out in about an hour. Fast, courteous, fairly priced and a pleasure to deal with. I went this dealer to buy a used Versa Note SV and was told I was dreaming when I said 8% interest was too high and the $500 for my car was too low. Additionally, they wanted $13,995 for a used note with 5,500 miles and were unwilling to negotiate. So I left and called Mathews Nissan about a brand new one I saw listed for $13,215. I did everything over the phone and was quoted a much more reasonable interest rate at 4% and and much better price for my car, $1500. The salesman, even made a comment about me being a math teacher, suggesting I should know the math won't work. Called for two weeks trying to get pictures of a car online since there were only 3 listed. Finally got two cell phone pics after calling for two days in a row. I asked if there was any visible damage on the vehicle and was told car was perfect..on that info I drove 120 miles to get out of the car and from across the parking lot I could see damage on the drivers side door that was very noticeable and obvious.(damage that would require body work and paint)..I would never recommend anyone dealing with this dealership if this is the type of service and communication they have to offer. My experience at this dealership was terrible. They were rude in person, and two weeks after i visited the dealership to test drive a car I discovered that they sent my information out to 10 lenders. They did this without my consent and damaged my credit score. Nissan Consumer Affairs has been no help. I currently do not live in Chattanooga, but my fiancé does and I wanted him to accompany me when I test drove a car. I set up my appointment at Mountain View Nissan with the Sales and Leasing Advisor, Bruce a week advance. On 9/23/17, I drove an hour and a half to Chattanooga for the appointment. Bruce was extremely rude in person. His greeting was to say "you are the one who works for...?" His attitude and tone indicated he believed I had lied about my job. I felt strongly that he questioned who I was employed by because I am a female under the age of 30. Bruce clearly believed I was not worth his time, and handed me off to a different sales agent, Derek. Derek seemed so completely clueless that my fiancé and I believed that he was in training. I told Derek we were there for a test drive. He asked me for my address, and SSN while filling out a form on the computer, then got the keys for the Versa. I offered him my driver's license when we got into the car because he never asked to see it. After the test drive, Derek asked me what he could do to sell me the car "today." I told Derek that he could give me an estimate of pricing for the car with an extended warranty. I told him that if the estimate worked for me, that maybe I would consider discussing financing options. I made sure to repeat that I could not buy the car on that day. While my fiancé and I waited for Derek to provide me the estimate Bruce walked up to us and said "congratulations...I just filled up your new car with gas." I told Derek that I was leaving. I explained I didn't like the lack of transparency in his sales tactics, and that his manager had made me feel uncomfortable and pressured. After I repeated my complaint about Bruce a second time, Derek offered me his idea of an apology. "I don't know what Bruce said to you, but we don't want to make anyone feel pressured..." Derek seems to lack the skills required for customer service and sales. I had stated only seconds before (for the second time) what his manager had said to me, so Derek did know. I do not appreciate someone clearly not listening to a word I say, nor do I appreciate the implication that I would make up a complaint. Following his "apology," he attempted to defend Bruce's comment instead of accepting that it made me uncomfortable. He said "I thought you were buying the car today too." Derek excused the fact my fiancé and I sat for over an hour waiting for the estimate on the dealership being "very busy." I told him to email me the estimate by the following Monday. He assured me that he would do so. That Monday, he did not email me an estimate. I emailed him to again ask for the estimate. He responded (through a text) that I had been approved for financing by Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation. His text didn't state financing terms, or the final price of the car with a warranty (the information I had repeatedly asked for). I decided I wouldn't purchase a car from him. Upon checking my credit score on 10/18/17, I discovered that it had dropped over 30 points on all three credit reporting agencies. On 9/23/17, Derek and his "manager" Bruce had sent my information out to 10 lenders without my consent. I never was told the loan amount Mountain View Nissan was trying to approve me for. I was never told how many lenders, or which lenders they sent my information to. I wasn't shown any paperwork for any of the financing that I was approved (or not approved) for. I haven't received even relieved one letter in the mail from any of the lenders that are now showing up on my credit report. I now understand why Derek asked for my SSN in the beginning of my visit. I have spent the last two weeks calling lenders to inform them that their credit inquiries were unauthorized. I have opened multiple claims to attempt to remove these inquiries from my credit reports. My two hours in that dealership has already cost me an additional 40 hours of my time. I reported this issue to Nissan Consumer Affairs on 10/18/17, the same day I discovered what the dealership had done with my information. So far, I have called them three times.They opened a claim for my complaint, but the agent they promise will contact me has yet to speak to me. In fact, she keeps closing my case because my "number is out of service." That is inaccurate and I have filed with the BBB. If you want to buy a Nissan in Chattanooga I would recommend choosing a different dealership. Everyone making a purchase deserves to have an experience that lets you know the company respects your business. read more

He tried to stick me in a basic car with a high payment after me telling him i wasn't comfortable with the amount. He kept pushing and pushing telling me it was a once and life time deal.
