I went on a Saturday. No one wants to sacrifice their weekend for car maintenance. People were impatient; the usual chaos. I noticed the front guy, Chris, he kept a calm demeanor and got the line moving quickly while also manning incoming calls very professionally, and coordinating with this guys. The smoothest, calmest, multi-tasking I've ever seen! I work in customer service, I recognize amazing service when I see it. This guy is efficient, professional and knowledgeable. While in the lobby, 3 people said they moved over an hour away but they make the trip here because they only trust Chris with their car diagnosis and repairs, (services beyond tire service). I had to come back next day Sunday and saw Chris perform solo efficiently, but with the same calm, collected demeanor despite less staff. A customer in a Porsche came in and she said she has been coming here for over 10 years, because after trying other mechanics, only Chris gives her a sense of confidence her cars will be taken care of. Give this man a raise! And a bonus. His presence is singlehandedly retaining customers. read more

I would not recommend this place at all .....the mechanics are incompetent.......thy can't even do oil change and tire rotation properly. First they called me and said my air filter and cabin filters were dirty. I had just replaced both of them 2 weeks ago. Then after I picked up my car it has a terrible vibration at 45mph and higher so I had to bring it back to have the tires balanced properly. Then, my son took his car in for an oil change for the second time, they call him and said whoever changed the oil last time, stripped the oil plug, and it will need to have the oil pan replaced!! luckily we kept the receipt from the last oil change which they did!! Then the mechanic, says he can suddenly fix it! They tell us to bring it back after they repaired the oil plug to check it so we did that, than a few weeks later we notice oil on our garage floor, took it a different mechanic and he said the oil plug was missing the gasket and it was threaded on crooked! I won't be going back to Mountain View tire in Upland ever again!!! 0 stars!!!! Total incompetence!!! read more

After being told the wait would be 2 hours for my diagnostic (only a diagnostic. no repairs), I chose to stay in the lobby and wait for the results. After 3 hours, I asked someone at the front what the status of my car was, and 30 seconds later saw my car drive past the window and into the garage. When I confronted the original employee that took my appointment, he rudely told me that he had already said 2+ hours. I reminded him he said "up to 2 hours" and he denied it. I said fine, but it would have been nice to get an update or at least an apology and he merely said they were busy. Once I asked for my car and that I wanted to leave he started shouting at me and threatening to "put me in my place". I continued to ask for my car, and then a manager came out to talk to me. I have never been at a place of business where I was treated like I wasn't even a customer. Will never be back and that employee should never be put in front of customers. read more

You can improve your services by hiring competent mechanics that knows how to order and install the right parts. Chris and Armando need additional training on how to be truthful and transparent. They need additional training on customer service and not hang up the phone on customers. They've caused me to spend a lot of money that I had no intention of spending. They've caused me to cancel a pre-planned vacation because of their ignorance of which parts are needed for my vehicle. I will NEVER recommend this facility to anyone, as no one should ever have to experience this type of treatment and unnecessary delays. read more

I am so disappointed in this place. I had a slow leak in my tire and came in to see if they could help me. They were busy since it was Sunday so I said I would come back Monday. I came back and the gentleman said to me that he would have to charge me 50.00 to look at my tire since I did not buy my tires from them. I have only had my car for 4 months. I couldn't believe he wanted to charge me 50.00 just to look at my tire. I will not buy tires here when I need them due to the way I was treated. I took my car somewhere else (American Tires on Foothill) and they did not charge me a dime. But I did tip the man who repaired my tire. There was a nail in it. Terrible service here. When you have an appointment and you show up to the appointment 15 minutes before and wait around for 20 minutes for them to tell you they can't service you because they are too busy. I told the attendant I'm not a walk in I have an appointment. He said he was still too busy. Didn't offer to reschedule didn't offer anything. Not even an apology. I would definitely skip this place for sure and go to a local spot. Or contact me and I found a really good place, cheaper and better service. You guys should read up on the definition of an appointment and train your management team on them. read more

I would give no stars if I could. Had my husband bring in his car for an oil change and tire rotation a couple times. Every time we bring our cars here, we end up with a flat tire and/or faulty battery less than 3 days from taking it here. Highly do NOT recommend. read more

Terrible customer service. We came in several months ago and the workers broke the sensors while installing the tires. We had to take the car back to mountain view and they couldn't fix it and we had to pay to get it fixed at Lexus. Mountain view have us store credit so we decided recently to give them another shot. This last time that we went, we had to bring the car back 3 times. They broke our wheel locks then threw them away. They had to order new ones from Lexus and replace them again. It's been such an inconvenience. read more

I dont usually write reviews but theres some shady predatory stuff going on: The things I did like was that the receptionist lady was kind and helpful, and the service I requested was free (finding an oil leak for my 2004 honda civic). Besides that, when I came to check if my car was ready, I had one of the mechanics help me, told me my car needed a lot of work done in a way to intimidate me. The "a lot of work" is replacing 2 gaskets and a seal. Got quoted $1000-$1500. Once again told me my car needed a lot of work done again to intimidate me. He then went to pull my car out and once again told me it needs a lot of work. Then after I was pulling it out he exaggeratedly pointed out the oil that was leaking as I was driving away exclaiming "LOOK LOOK". But on top of that he said "the mechanic said he'll buy it off of you for $700, since it needs a lot of work done". Ah, interesting. I was still giving them the benefit of the doubt until I noticed my car was spilling about 2-3 times as much oil as it was before? All I can think is if they purposefully did something to make it leak more oil so I can come back? Or maybe it was just coincidence. You guys be the judge of that but come on. The other bad reviews on here don't help their case either: mentions of them scratching wheels, causing further damage, and not allowing those reviewers to check out cameras. Overall, shady and predatory. If you don't know much about cars, I would avoid this place to avoid them draining your pockets from your lack of knowledge. I had a really disappointing and frankly dishonest experience at Mountain View. I went in because I was hearing a squeak when braking. They told me I needed a full brake job--front and back--with new rotors, totaling over $1,000. That seemed excessive, so I took my car to a mom-and-pop mechanic for a second opinion. Turns out, my brake pads still had plenty of life left and there was absolutely no need for a brake job. What bothered me most is that when I asked the Mountain View tech if the rear pads still had life, he admitted they did--but said the only way to stop the squeak was to replace everything. That's a flat-out upsell and completely misleading. I'm grateful I trusted my instincts, but others might not be so lucky. This shop either doesn't know what they're doing or is intentionally trying to rip people off. Either way, I won't be back--and I strongly suggest going elsewhere or at the very least getting a second opinion before agreeing to any major repairs here. read more

Took my car here to get an oil change, and I was told that I also needed a battery replacement and my rear shocks replaced. They quoted me a very expensive price so I decided to see another mechanic and get another opinion. Turns out my battery was in great condition as well as my shocks and neither of them needed to be replaced. Extremely disappointed and angry Mountain View would try to scam me out of almost $900. Don't trust this shop and don't overpay for their services! What a bad way to do business. Never coming here again. read more

We live very close by and always drive by Mountain View Tires, but have never been. My husbands brakes were having issues, so we decided to give this place a try. He said the drop off and time of pickup was in a reasonable amount of time. I went with him for the pick up and the man helping us was very nice. We have had no issues and although it's an expense we weren't planning for, they did seem pretty reasonable in price and offer their credit card with 0% int for 6 months which helped. read more

Couple things Mountain View could do 1- stop taking reservations they literally mean nothing, I arrived at 10 am for an appointment and my car was started at 1:30, this is insulting to people's intelligence 2- listen to the customer, you did not repair my brakes, you changed my oil. I've been going there for about 8 years, mostly for oil changes. In the past they've recommended services that weren't necessary, at considerable costs, so I've tried to keep it to the basics, oil and tires rotations. An oil change (8 quarts) w/tire rotation for my Tundra normally runs about $100, but today I got boned for $154. Apparently the service writer, Chris, sensed a weakness in me and decided to go for the gold. When I picked up my vehicle, and questioned why my bill was 1/3rd higher than it had been in the past, the other service writer told me I should've read the paperwork I signed, and he said it with an attitude. True, I didn't read it, but that's because I wasn't aware of the 33% inflation that apparently occurred in the last year. OK, they got one past me, but I'll never be back again, nor will I buy a much needed set of tires from them. They're as bad as a dealership. Stay away. read more

I made an appointment on 5.20.2025 in upland I work in Ontario. I set an appointment for 3:00-3:30pm I don't get out of work till 2:30pm I called the representative on my lunch around 10:40am and she told me yeah she has a technician who can do my alignment and get me new tires. By the time I made it there the technician left and there wasn't any one to do the alignment. She was trying to have another technicians who never work or did the alignment. Good thing another representative came out and he told me there's no refund for the alignment so if it's wrong hey I left out that building. read more

I took my car to this mechanic shop because my AC was not working, they sold me a new AC that included an expansion valve. when I picked up my car after the service, my dashboard was broken and there was a dirty rag, a thermometer inside my car and they still denied it, I went back the next day and explained that my AC was not working yet, I talked to The manager and they replaced the expansion valve. A few months passed and my "New" AC broke down again, I spoke again with the manager and they replaced the expansion valve again. Now my AC is broken again, at this point I don't want to deal with this place and this manager anymore, the truth is that I paid for a service that was not given to me, they couldn't fix my car and they only left me with a broken dashboard. I have now taken my car to the dealer and they had me install a new AC. read more

I'm hoping the owner gets this so he or she can see what's going on at their shop. I don't use yelp to make bad reviews, but this was the worst customer service I've ever had. It was a two day process. I went in at 4pm thinking it would be easy to get tires put on (online it says they close at 7) and they said it was too late to get tires put on. They actually close at 6pm and the Mgr. said,"I don't know why it says that online." Seems like an easy fix for the manager and sounded like that happens to customers often. So I set an appointment for 2:30 the next day. Some background. I be purchased the tires at a great deal from Tire Rack. Tire Rack will make it easy for you by shipping your tires to a local tire dealer so you don't have to drive far to get them put on. So I went in before my appointment time which was 2:30 (which he said would work) the next day and they said they couldn't find one of my tires and said it's on YOU to figure out why they only had 3 shipped to them. They wouldn't help or even give a call to Tire Rack to figure out what happened and seemed pretty rude about it. So I got in my car and called Tire Rack customer service. They were very good and figured it out in seconds. 1 was shipped one day and 3 were shipped from another location the next day. I asked the person from tire rack to call and explain what happened while on hold. He did. Turns out the person that signed for the tires was the girl helping me! They did have them all 4 tires. Anyway...I got out of there at 5:45! It took over 3 hours to have 4 tires put on! No one telling me anything, no apology, nothing. At the very end the mgr. had the mechanic give me the keys and No paperwork, just said something to the effect of "I don't know what she did on the computer and I can't figure it out." So I didn't say a word and walked out. Not very professional. I wouldn't recommend this place at all! Rude salespeople. read more

Even after letting this awful, unqualified business fix their mistake (forgetting to tighten the control arm bolts after an alignment), their work was so poor and alignment so far off it destroyed my front tires. This place endangered my life and then took money out of my pocket. read more

On January 13th I paid $1586.56 to order four "new" tires for my car. When I ordered the tires I specifically requested fresh tires. I was assured by the Assistant Manager that the tires would have DOT Date codes no earlier than 2024. The next day I took my car in and they installed the "new" tires. After I drove home I checked the dates on the "new" tires. The oldest was Jan 2022 and the others were in early 2023. Basically, they sold me two to three year old tires as new. Considering most tire manufacturers recommend replacing tires within six year of the manufacturing date, the tires Mountain Tire sold me were already 1/3 into their lifespan. I've talked to the Assistant Manager multiple times trying to get this problem resolved. He was polite and told me he reordered the tires, but they were old as well and that the distributor said they have no fresher tires. I explained that this is akin to going to a donut shop and paying full price for fresh donuts only to discover they are three day old stale donuts. I feel that if they cannot get fresh tires, they should reduce the price of the stale tires they sold me to compensate for the reduced life span. The Assistant Manager told me that the Corporate headquarters refused such an offer. Our household (5 cars) has been customers of Mountain View Tire for decades. No more. Beware of Mountain View Tire. They will sell you old tires at a new tire price and refuse to resolve the issues regarding their actions. Don't trust them. EDIT. The box below requests me to call customer service. Don't bother. After calling them about six times they refused to accommodate me except to offer a $50.00 coupon on future service! I'm literally driving on a donut and went into this place to get help with my tire and the older gentleman at the front desk said he didn't have time today to go to another tire shop 2 miles away. There was one lady in the waiting room and a bunch of service guys doing nothing and literally staring at my car as I drove up because they were doing nothing as I pulled up. Never been to a company who turns away work. The man said he can give me the information to America's Tires 2 miles away. I never complain.
