I have moved all over the nation, over 8 moves, and this was my worst move and worst customer experience with management.

Andy and his MoveAholics crew saved me! With very short notice, I was able to schedule them to move my mother-in-law who had been suddenly hospitalized. They packed up her entire 2 bedroom apartment (did I mention she is a bit of a hoarder?) and got the move done in about 6 hours! It was a pleasure to work with Andy...he returned phone calls promptly, arrived on time at the job and even called ahead to advise me when he was about 10 minutes away! I typically don't take the time to write a review and certainly was not prompted by this company to write one. This review comes solely from the fact that I am a very pleased customer and want others to have a moving experience that is as as positive (as a move can possibly be) as mine was. MoveAholics was wonderful to work with. I asked them to help with my move with only 1 day notice. Andy quickly confirmed that they could help me on the day and time that I needed. Having had poor or mediocre experiences with moving companies in the past, I was weary of all that could go wrong. I messaged Andy a couple of hours beforehand, to confirm the move and arrival time. He responded immediately with confirmation and put my mind at ease. The crew was absolutely wonderful!!! Just got done with my move yesterday on a Saturday. Josh and Jeff showed up on time and ready to go. Not only were they both ready to start working with their huge truck but they were very friendly and respectful. I was shown the time started , costs reviewed, services provided and given a thorough rundown of how everything would proceed. Josh and Jeff got done quickly and just at the time I expected. They brought my stuff over to a storage unit and even met me where I was having breakfast after they finished. And on top of that the double J's made a extra side stop to my new place and helped me unload some of my stuff there. These guys are the absolute best. I appreciate their friendly dispositions and their professionalism. I don't want to be moving a lot, however if I do again Moveaholics will always be my first choice. I was in a panic to move thanks to some individuals who shall remain nameless. Movaholics responded quickly to my request for a quote. We discussed my situation on the phone and I had a date set within a few minutes. The people showed up right in the middle of the time window we agreed upon. I estimated a 3-hour job and that was the time it took including travel. The two fellows, Dominic and Daniel, were very efficientand even placed things where I them without me telling them anything, just like they had some 6th sense - that comes with experience. I signed up for help from Moveaholics through my Uhaul rental and they were great. They were prompt and willing to do whatever it took to get our goods inside. We had a complicated delivery situation within an apartment complex and they couldn't have been more cooperative and flexible. They even helped us assemble furniture and hang pictures! I had requested for a quote in the website and received a call from Andy within a couple of minutes. Andy was very polite.The rates were reasonable and impressive! I changed my date of moving and I appreciate that Andy could catch up with the changes and perfectly execute the moving without any confusion. On the day of moving, I got a call half hour before as Andy informed. Parker and Baxster arrived right on time. They were very hardworking and efficient. We had already marked the rooms each box goes to. They just kept each box in the corresponding room and finished the job so quickly. Andy and his team are awesome in every way! I wish I wrote this review after I moved last May but since my family and friends have used Andy and his team since I feel it's time to write this. Andy explained the process and an estimate of time he thought they would need to move my one bedroom condo to my new house . He made sure he knew exactly what furniture I had and what needed to be taken apart and wrapped up. He quoted me 2 1/2 hours and mentioned they would be there first thing moving day. The night before I did get a confirmation call which what something most moving companies don't do. Promptly at 8am the movers were at my door and hustled. They had all my belonging packed secure and moved into my new house within 2 hours. Less than what was expected. Will use them again! read more

The guys who moved me were great! Here is my only issue.... I spoke to the owner who ensured me why furniture would be wrapped and protected. None of my furniture was wrapped which caused a few of my items to be scratched and nicked. Now, I don't expect all of my items to be wrapped, however, I would think my couch and other items, such as tables, that can easily get scratched when moved, would be wrapped. I emailed the owner with my concerns - explaining none of the items were wrapped and a few items were scratched. This was his response.... I apologize for the damages to your personal belongings. I have since then spoken to the employees that I sent out on your move. We will use your feedback for future employees. Moving can be stressful, but I had the best experience working with Moveaholics. Chad and his team (Moe) got the job done in just under 3 hours during this crazy Arizona heatwave. We were moving furniture from two different apartments in the same complex to a house. The guys were friendly and hard workers. They were willing to move things where they needed to go. Looks like we made a mistake hiring this company. Thankfully we didn't give them anything up front. They were supposed to be here at 8am, but called to say they'd be here at 9am. Now they're not answering calls, sending them straight to voicemail. Andy and his crew went totally above and beyond with my cross country move from Scottsdale to Chicago and did it for a really reasonable price. Not only was the move done efficiently, the guys were super nice and conscientious. They even packed up the truck on new years day, which was super helpful and absolutely critical to the timing of the move. We moved a 2400 SF house all the way across country and there were only two minor problems that were dealt with. Can't recommend them enough whether you're planning a cross country or local move. read more

Moveaholics did an amazing job moving us from a condo into a house! Lyle and Christian were super awesome, careful, and mindful of our stuff. They even helped my husband trailer 2 of his motorcycles that we would have had to hire someone else to help us with. Instead they offered to do it. I see some people are saying their stuff got damaged or something went wrong. My suggestion is to just give Andy and his team a heads up on exactly what you are moving, so they are prepared with enough blankets and wrap. I called Andy and explained to him that I have several mirror furniture pieces and I would like for them to be wrapped with extra padding. I sent him pictures of my furniture and sure enough, the guys came prepared and all went well. 6 large mirrored pieces from ZGallerie made it untouched to the house. What a Stellar performance from my first phone call on March 30th requesting to move us on the 31st to meeting Chad and Daniel . They were scheduled to arrive at our home at noon-1p on the 31st, and called to tell us that they could come earlier..... They were ready to roll.....quick , and careful with our household items. We have two Weimerainers which got in their way a few times but they treated them with patience and gave our male Weims lots of attention. This guy hasn't learned how to deal with a customer. I Called Tuesday for a simple move of heavy furniture within my home. I gave him a wide berth....need the move done by Friday or Saturday morning. He quoted me a price and said he would get back to me to set it up. He never called. Since I am traveling and I asked my wife to call and find out what was going on. HE STARTED WITH THE EXCUSES THAT WE SHOULD HAVE CALLED AND REMINDED HIM. WOW So....here is our text messaging for your reading pleasure. Is this the type of finger pointing customer service you expect? Watch how he accuses my wife, then says he will make next to nothing on my job, all in order to deflect responsibility. This is child's play. When your business depends on your customers and your reputation, taking exception to a customer especially a woman, who is not happy that you didn't do what you committed to is just dumb. I did drop the ball there is a lot of jobs going on the end of the month here and I put you on for the same day but the guys couldn't make it so as I got to the next days I never saw your information. I took full responsibility for that and apologize for that and the lady that just spoke to me was very abrasive rude snotty and just overall not the type of person I want to do a move for that the company profits next to nothing on ME Here comes your social media reviews. Do not use this company! I was a repeat customer and called about 3 weeks ahead to schedule my move. Started calling about 3 days prior to confirm and voice mail was full for 3 days! Day of move, supposed to be there at 9:00am. Called at 8:00am said running late will be there at 11:00am. Ok, can deal with that. At 10:30am they called, said on their way. 11:30am, they called said they're at the house, wrong address! Texted correct address to them. They went silent after that, no contact. I in the mean time hired another company for the following day which cost me about a third more due to being last minute. Owner leaves me a voice mail late evening asking how my move went! I called him back and gave him an earful. Then he started making excuses! Do yourself a favor, use another company. read more

I am writing this review for Moveaholics. I used them when i was moving from Arizona to Washington state. The services we needed from them was just a simple loading of our moving truck, since we moved in mid August in AZ and it was a million degrees outside. We had them scheduled for around 11:30 and they arrived on time, ready to get it all done for us. We did help them out by having everything organized in the front area of our apartment for them to just grab and go vs. having it all scattered throughout the apartment. we had the large items in one part of our living room and all the remaining boxes/totes on the other side so they didn't have to week through stuff to get to what they needed to load first. The owner Andy, had been my point of contacts over the phone leading up to moving day. He was not actually present on moving day but he did send three reliable guys over to complete the job. When they first arrived, there was on obvious master mind planner for how they were going to load the truck and it took them no time at all to get started on hauling all of the boxes downstairs. They first packed all of our boxes in the back of the truck and then loaded all of our bigger items(couch, desks, tables,etc) last. I feel like that made our lives easier once we got to WA since we were unloading our truck ourselves. All in all the guys were done in just under 2 hours. I payed $110 for two hours which is their minimum i believe. It was $50/hour plus a $10 travel fee. I did tip them all as well. I would gladly recommend this company for your moving needs. read more

Movers showed up in a timely fashion to unload my storage container and were absolutely gracious throughout, despite the container having to be parked very far from my door due to community regulations (and it was just starting to really hear up at that time, too!). Never again! Had a very small and simple move. One of the guys spent a lot of time on his phone. They spent most of their time just standing around not moving anything. One item was damaged and some upholstered furniture was dirty from unclean hands (items should have been wrapped). And they threw many items into an empty closet to make it look as if they were done. I ended up having to move many items myself even though I had paid movers. Really, really disappointed. Never again. read more

We called moveaholics about a move. They assured us that they were not like the other guys. We have been ripped off before with movers. MoveAholics was an absolute delight to work with. Andy the owner is very down to earth and helpful. This guy really knows what he is doing. His VP of operations Curt, not only blew me away with his knowledge of the industry he gave me some excellent advice and shared some things that made my day less stressful. I had a 4bed room house and full size garage i initially planned for a full 8 hours to complete. These guys got it done in 6. The professionalism and customer service is most definitely 5 star worthy. I was very impressed with the way these guys conducted themselves and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for movers this summer.
