I had the pleasure of moving my residence with Sam, Alex and Mike. They were wonderful, fast, heavy lifters, efficient and got a big move done in the estimated 3 hours from start to finish. I definitely recommend having three guys help you move to get it done the way these 3 did, they really worked well together and had great communication! I had called a few companies but was still pretty nervous as you most always are with everything going into a move, wondering if you've secured the "right" movers and for the "right" price. I can't say enough good things about this company. We moved over 1000 miles and the last thing we wanted to deal with was unloading the truck. I was worried about how quickly I could get support since it was short notice on a weekend. Moveaholics took the job and sent a crew out on a Sunday to help. Not only were they on time, helpful, efficient, and professional, but they were willing to stay the extra time needed to get the job done. This was my first time using a moving service, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I needed to keep costs low, so I packed the majority of my belongings in boxes in advance, then hired a moving service to supply the truck and supplies, and to do the loading/unloading. I needed to move out of a third floor, one-bedroom apartment in North Scottsdale, and into a second floor apartment 6 miles away. In total I had around 15 large boxes, three large tubs full of tools, a toolbox, two office chairs, two area rugs, two nightstands, floor lamps, a bicycle, a tv, a heavy 6 drawer dresser, large L-shaped desk, coffee table, king size mattress, headboard and bed frame. Wow wow wow! The guys move from Moveaholics, Damon & Lee, did an outstanding job moving me into my new apartment! Andy and Damon were accommodating when I had to reschedule the move, they were easily reachable early morning. From the moment they walked in, I was put at ease as I could see that they were very detailed, meticulous, and organized. Damon and Lee were a great team, and went above and beyond to make sure that my furniture was moved without a single scratch, not an item dropped, not even a glass cracked... And I didn't pad or pack the glasses! They were very quick loading and unloading the moving truck, Damon asked numerous times where I would like things placed and was so easy-going and insured that all of my furniture, clothes, books, kitchenware was placed with care. To me, these are the things that separate Moveaholics from other moving companies: 1. They accommodated my request for a nighttime move, during the week, which was most convenient for me, and kept them out until midnight finishing the job. 2. Very very reasonably priced! 3. Trustworthy, reliable, and professional. 4. Movers I have used in the past would unload all of my belongings wherever they were space and leave. Damon and Lee set up my furniture exactly where I wanted it, and even connected my cable and Internet. 5. Everything was wrapped, transported safely and arrived without a scratch, ding or dent! (and I did a lousy job of packing!) 6. They were friendly, easy to work with, and worked five hours, nonstop, without a single complaint! 7. And what I love best about them was that they took extra care to move my birds' cages which were expensive, and important. And to top it off, they offered and helped me bring my birds to my car; carriers wrapped in towels to maintain warmth for them on a cold winter night. I highly recommend these guys... This is an update to my initial 5 star review, which was given after using this company's services on 2 occasions to move 1 item each time. Since then, I have used them for 2 full moves and the experience has been rocky on the 1st full move and a complete disaster on the 2nd move. I will no longer use this company even if I have to pay more somewhere else. On the 1st full move, I was told there was another customer who had he same name as me and that is why they did not show up at the appointed time, even though it had been scheduled a few weeks earlier. The owner was able to get 2 guys to show up 6-7 hours later. They rushed on both ends, almost destroyed my big screen plasma and were arrogant about it. They forgot the glass shelves in my high end entertainment center, thank God they did not break. However, one of the doors on it does not close as it used to. One of my neighbors at the pickup location had managed a moving crew for 12 years and he was appalled at how they were handling themselves. The second full move: one of the 2 guys was very unprofessional and lazy. He dropped things while moving them and could not care less. I had to insist a leather recliner be taken apart before being moved out. He handled it like a piece of garbage, showing no respect and being annoyed at my emphasis he actually work hard for his money. There was a discrepancy between the number of items I had given them and the ones they actually had to move. It was not much but I did contact the owner and we agreed on a new quote. I paid the new price and gave a good tip. At the dropout location, I asked the guys to put mostly everything in the living area. I asked them to move a dresser and a hospital bed in one of the bedrooms. They put the hospital bed together wrong. The lazy guy lied about the owner and asked for a cash tip. He made derogatory comments towards my wife (she told me after they left, otherwise there would not have been any tip given). I contacted the owner and he refunded some of the tip and said he would replace the picture frame. I sent 2 emails and then he replied stating I was dishonest and they were not prepared for the extra items they had to move. He offered a replacement frame from their thrift store, I offered him to buy the damaged fame for the amount I paid for it. We'll see what happens. I can no longer recommend this company. If all you care about is price or moving one item, they are an option and I would have normally kept them as an alternative. Being called dishonest ended any possibility of that. It has also brought the rating to 1 star. The owner is not the nice guy I thought he was and he seems to project his failures onto his customers. He is confrontational, makes excuses and cannot help himself to lecture you when he should just apologize and move on. He keeps saying he trains his staff when something happens! Give me a break, this is not rocket science, just fire people and get others who actually care about the customers and their property. The owner has responded below and as usual he is making excuses and trying to be right all the time. He still owes me for a damaged frame he said he would cover. There are lies in his response. This could have been so easily resolved had he exercised poise and true concern for a repeat customer. The other 1 star review is right on the money. Stay away from this company if you value your property and want a pleasant moving experience. read more

I called on a Sunday to get an estimate because I was referred by a family member. the gentlemen provide an estimate over the phone but quoted me 5 hours to move a 2 bedroom apartment when I stated that amount of time seemed a little high for an apartment the gentlemen I was speaking with raised his voice at me and said I don't know how much its going to be I haven't seen your stuff! at that point I found it disconcerting that he would raise his voice. So I apologized for making the statement that 5 hours seems a little long to move an apartment and at that point he said he would ALLOW me to call around and get other quotes so I thanked him for his time and ended the conversation. I do not doubt that this company will do a good job moving your items but I have decided to go with a different company since my first interaction was so unprofessional. read more

I used these guys for a very small, short distance move. Andrew was very responsive and was able to squeeze me in on relatively short notice. This was greatly appreciated since all of the other movers I called didn't seem interested in a small job. The two movers, Jeffrey & Damon, were very nice guys and got the job done quickly and efficiently. The only downside to the whole experience was that my two white sofas were wrapped in DIRTY blankets. When they were unwrapped at destination, both pieces were soiled and needed to be professionally cleaned. The cleaning cost me the same as the move! read more

Customer service is good and the guys all have a positive attitude while getting the job done. But they don't handle everything with care. Only wrapped some things in plastic wrap and hardly used any moving blankets on furniture. I have had many long distance moves over the years and this was a local move and had a lot more scratches and dings than usual. I just had the best moving experience ever with Moveaholics. I originally called another company that I had previously used for the past 6 years and they tried to price gouge me. I'm so glad I decided to give Moveaholics a try. Their rates are so reasonable and they didn't require a deposit up-front. Our movers, Erik and Marc were amazing! They hustled through a difficult move from a 2nd floor apartment in a complex with scarce parking to a small condo downtown and never even flinched. They were efficient, professional, and worked in "Beast Mode" from beginning to end, never even stopping to take a break. After getting many quotes at varying prices, I was frustrated and decided to give Moveaholics a call given the positive reviews. The gentleman I spoke to was very laid back and gave me options that fit my move the best. I wasn't moving very far but had quite a bit of large items. The quote seemed very reasonable and we set it up. Upon arrival, I had two superstars that were as motivated to move quickly as I was. They knocked out the job in under three hours and everything went perfectly with no damage. They provided the Uhaul so I didn't have to hassle with that. I used them to unload our POD for our new house. We had to move things from several places the day before so knowing they were coming to do the heavy furniture the next day was a relief. I didn't know how much until they got there and had our entire 16foot pod unloaded in 2 hrs!!! Jim and Sam were great. They were super friendly, efficient and on time! i am giving them one star for showing up, however, i would have been money ahead if they hadn't. They moved our office and the crew was less than professional, but they were making the effort. When it came to our copier which is leased and approximately $30K, i asked them to be extremely careful as this was leased and expensive. They proceeded to pile things on top of it in the truck evidently, because when it arrived to the new office, which was 2 miles away, the top was damaged, but did not know at the time. In the next couple days when we tried to hook it back up and get it working, the copier repair man came and said it was going to be $2100 to repair it. I called the company and spoke to several people about how this could be rectified and no one would return the call or address it. I will never use this company again....horrible customer service, or basic ethics at this point. read more

We ordered an 8 ft. Air Hockey table and it was too big and heavy for my wife and I to carry it through the house and set it up. I also had no way to get rid of the huge pallet it came on. I called Andy at 9:30 AM to see if he could get a couple guys to come out that evening at 5:30PM. To my surprise, even on such short notice he said he could do it. Lionel called me when he and his helper were on their way and they arrived right on time at 5:30. They were professional, polite, and did a great job. We moved from SC in September and drove a 26' truck to our home in Phoenix. We had a local company we've used before load the truck but needed help unloading. I searched E-moves and found several that were recommended. We researched the companies and were impressed with the reviews for Moveaholics. I called literally 10 minutes before closing and spoke to Andy, the owner. He was so patient and helpful and "walked" me through filling out the online request. We must have been on the phone 45 minutes, discussing approximate time the truck was do to arrive home, what needed to be unloaded and assembled, and the possibility of bringing some of the furniture to my daughter's house as well. I felt as though he was an old friend! The company kept in touch for arrival updates and promptly and efficiently unloaded the truck. We have a king size canopy bed and one of the small dowels holding the top together apparently fell off in the truck in the move. One of the workers ingeniously fashioned a makeshift piece to hold it together, until the original piece was found. All the workers were wonderful..hard working and professional . I can't say enough about this company..they made a stressful move a lot easier and I would hire them again in an instant. They also will haul any donated furniture to Wounded Workers or the Humane Society. read more

Saturday I had Zach, Matt, and Lee move my stuff from south to north Scottsdale. They were quick and very helpful. I'm all in on a 5 star rating for this company ! We drove 1,944 miles to Chandler Az and missed our timing by 1/2 day . We requested to have the unload crew in the afternoon instead of the morning. They we very accomendating and switched their schedule around for us. We had the best two guys one could ask for; Steve and Lenny. What a team they were, steady workers and moved all our belongings without incident. They had quite a walk around the apt. building to our door and the extra charge for the time was reasonable for sure. I might add, it was 112 degrees , we had water and energy drinks for them , and they kept on moving. brought their own dolly also which was better then what we had. the two worked well together and were very polite and courtious.
