To my surprise, they were more professional than most other moving companies that I've used in the past. They kept me updated on arrival time, weren't late, and completed the move quickly and efficiently. Nothing was damaged or stolen, and the guys were courteous and respectful. It was extremely easy to get a quote, coordinate and schedule the move. They accept payment via check or card, and carry an iPad for easy payment. I had to move this last weekend, it seems i move a lot so have used many movers in LA and my go to was booked so based on Yelp i decided to try Joe's. I couldn't be more happy, they arrived on time despite switching the pick up address last minute (2 pick up locations), and jumped right in. They were affordable, fast and careful and despite the heat and being the second move of the day they were all super friendly and in a great mood which was really nice. I had a couple bumps, the worst being the parking situation in front of my new house which i didn't realize was so small, they rolled with the punches and weren't phased in the slightest. They went above and beyond, making sure that all the boxes where in the right place in the new house, and even moved a bed frame upstairs and into the garage that they noticed outside from the previous tenant AFTER we had paid and they were on their way out. I hadn't even noticed it there! I really appreciated the care and attention to detail, the whole process was totally painless and almost enjoyable because of them. Now that it's been a week and i'm all unpacked i'm also extremely impressed that despite my total lack of packing skills not even one piece of glassware was broken. Joe is the best mover we have ever had! He was able to help us move a piece of very heavy furniture at the very last minute. We called him at 9pm, and was able to get the furniture by 7pm the next day. He was extremely polite, helpful, his price was fair, and he came on time. Joe and Henry took good care of the furniture by wrapping it with clean moving blanket and plastic. He is going to be our mover for as long as he is in business! Very poor service. Truck couldnt hold all our stuff even though we gave an accurate list. Then it took an hour for them to try to fit it all in-unpacking and repacking. Then they unloaded one box at a time rather than using a dolly. Then they damaged the bed. Then when we called the office to complain about the excessive overcharge for the extra time THEY took, we were accused of not wanting to pay. They were so slow my husband helped out carrying boxes just to move it along. Sure feel scammed. read more

This review is long overdue! I moved in December and these guys were angels. Not only did they take great care with my stuff while actually moving it, they went above and beyond. My large entertainment center wouldn't fit up the stairs of my new building, so the guys disassembled and reassembled the entire thing. Then, when I realized the set up wasn't working, they helped me rearrange furniture until we figured out how everything would best fit in the new place. Amazing. Highly recommend. read more

I highly recommend Joe's Movers. We had scouted around for moving companies for a week and every company gave us high estimates (around $500 - $700) to move a one bedroom apartment. Joe's did it for $300 less and in no more than three hours, including a 40 minute drive time. There estimate was accurate and did not deviate from it. The two men that helped us were respectful and very nice. They cared for our furniture and handled even the heavier stuff with care. They had to bring heavy refrigerator down two flights of stairs in a crammed hallway and then move up the frig another flight of stairs at our new apartment. They told us that they were comprised of actors and musicians from the Studio City Area and moving was their day job. I wish them luck, and if we ever move again, they'll be the first people we call. read more

If I could give these guys 20 stars I would! I moved back in September during the 100+ temp weekend. I was mostly packed, but the heat slowed down the process and a few things were still not in boxes. They took care of everything, including taking down all my hanging plants. All the plants survived, which has never happened with other movers. They were all very courteous and friendly, and went above and beyond the call of duty, stopping at storage and basically working their butts off in very hot weather. And the price was fantastic. I was worried about playing an hourly rate thinking it would take them longer, but these guys worked their butts off and moved my very large two bedroom house door to door in three hours. Had an amazing experience with these guys a couple weeks ago. Incredibly professional, friendly, and efficient. We asked our friends on Facebook and someone gave Joe's a glowing review, so we took their word for it! Our greatest fear was moving my epic OutRun standing arcade machine, but Joe's team handled the task with great skill and effort, and got the beast up a narrow flight of stairs and safely to its new destination. Joe made the moving process so easy! I have moved a lot over the past couple of years and can no longer call on friends to help me, so while researching movers, I happened on Joe's page and based on his yelp reviews I decided to give him a call. I have to admit I was very nervous that something would go wrong or it would end up costing an arm and a leg. I was completely wrong. Joe and Stefan showed up and immediately got to work on loading my stuff up and then we were off to pick up more stuff from a second location before arriving at my new place. Not only did Joe and Stefan do a great job, they never once complained about my heavy furniture or loads of books and they completed everything super fast. And he didn't even charge me more than his initial quote, even when I loaded in more stuff. After doing the math of other mover costs, they were the best priced. They were both so friendly in spite of the heat and heavy work they were doing non-stop. I don't even think Joe broke a sweat, which is kind of amazing. It really was the best moving experience I've ever had and totally worth every penny! read more

Found Joe's Movers LA here on Yelp. Phoned Joe on Thursday for an early Sunday morning move of a sectional sofa from LA to the Valley. The guys were running late--but phoned well in advance to provide notice. They were very professional and friendly and took great care with the sofa. When I booked with Joe, I asked if arrangements could be made to move my old sofa to the curb, he said no problem--and he didn't charge me extra (as would have been the case by another company that quoted me). Joe's Movers LA is seriously legit--he sent me a very detailed email confirming the reservation. I am glad I paid a little more and went with Joe's instead of an unknown, "who knows what you're getting" mover from Craigslist. Yes, I would have paid less, but I doubt they would have been as professional as these guys. I would definitely use Joe's Movers LA again and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends. read more
