The 9 hour wait is because there is no way to schedule a visit from them when you do it thru the service.. this is not the first time I have gone thru this. There is a complete lack of communication between Hyundai and this "company" . No fault of the consumer. No business cards at the dealership. No information whatsoever. And I still don't like the "you were supposed to call me back" after I left him 3 voice mails. Or being accused of uninstalling the rear camera and turning it around. Or being brushed aside while talking to the "tech". Yes. Camera fixed. But software is crap. Place smells like you are in a box sanitizer wipes. Dirty. read more

I've gone back for the same radio , tint issue and they have fixed it but so many countless hours lost there if they fixed it first the right time. An update to my last review.. I went back in because there was an imperfection in one of the windows that were tinted. They replaced with no problem. While I was there, I purchased a remote starter. I dealt with Noel for both my visits and he was super professional and helpful. He was also patient and answered all my questions. My car was ready when he said it would be and he explained how to use the remote starter in detail. I couldn't have asked for more professional/neat service. I saw some bad reviews on here, but my car company highly recommended them when I was looking to update some of the features on my car. I called and they told me to come in so they can look at my car and tell me what my options were. I have a 2001 car, but I wanted them to make it so I could use bluetooth (instead of the car phone option everything was pre-built with) and include sirius radio as a function. It turns out that both would require some invasive car surgery, which I was not interested in, but while there they seemed knowledgeable and friendly. It was a shame they couldn't really help me, but that was more on the car than them. They honestly seemed to research and try to offer me every single option available. I left believing their expert opinion and, while I ended up going a different route (buying a bluetooth that I leave on my visor that also plays music from my phone) I would have gone with them had it have suited my needs. I would look to go back again if I had any questions or wanted any other upgrades I believe they may be able to offer. So while I can't speak on behalf of their work (which may lead you to somewhat ignore my post), if it's as good as their staff I would trust in them. I recently had a remote start installed on my car in January and , due to Covid, I had to make an appointment and drop off my car. I had no problem doing that , so I did . They quoted me a price and the price I was quoted was the price I payed and it was very reasonable. I told them that I wanted the same functions as my factory key fob and they did. My remote start works Great and it has Awesome Range! Their work is meticulous , and I'm very happy with their work. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! I had a 2:00 apt to get my windows tinted (while waiting) Upon my arrival, the sales guy told me the tinter wouldnt be there for another hour and a half? Which resulted in this guy not showing up until close to 4, which made me LIVID. I gathered my stuff up and said i'm outta here by 3:30, because i've been waiting wayyyyy to long. This guy took his sweet time and i was out of there at 5:45. I asked them to cut me a deal, since i just wasted my only day off, sitting twiddling my thumbs. They gave me 20 off, BIG WOOP- I wont be going back, unless i have a problem with my tints (which seem to look good) There are plenty of other places out there that can come to your house that are not as pricey! read more

Really disappointed. Wanted to play my iPhone music through my factory radio. I called and spoke to a very helpful sales rep who suggested some solutions, quoted me a price ($149 for part, $150 for installation), and said when I was ready to do it, make an appointment. The guy was super helpful. So far so good. So I did. I confirmed my vehicle year, make, and model, and confirmed they would have all necessary parts on hand at the time of my appointment. I stopped at the ATM for $300 on the way from Brooklyn to Elmont, left it in the glove box, and dropped off the car. Six hours later, the tech had alternately concluded (1) it would actually be $350 to install, with extra parts required, (2) I should buy a new radio instead (and refused to listen when I said I didn't want a new radio), and (3) in fact, the Bluetooth receiver the sales rep had recommended could not be installed in my car at all. They also broke, but then fixed, my dash clock. So, a waste of a day and half a tank of gas. I bought the part online and installed it myself this morning, following the directions step-by-step, so I'm not impressed with Movin On's technicians for projects more complicated than wholesale radio replacements. Also, the $300 that I had taken out of the bank to pay Movin On? On the drive home I realized someone had taken that out of the glove box as well. read more

Years ago they did some excellent work for me, but the installer that did it is gone now, and it shows. I went to have some hardware installed and after four tries they still couldn't get it right: The first time, their work kept triggering my car alarm for everything. I mean, it was triggered by entering the car, then again by starting the engine, then again by exiting the car; everything. Also some keyless entry features were disabled. Terrible. Don't they test anything before handing the car off to the customer? The second time they said they would fix the above "while I wait". Six and a half agonizing hours later I left with the problem largely unresolved because I had another commitment. The third time they swapped in new hardware, then tried to bill me additional labor for fixing their own mistakes. I got them to reverse about two thirds of it but not all of it. I was past arguing; just wanted to get out of there. Then, it turned out that the new hardware had less features than what I had paid for. No good. The fourth time they swapped in the right hardware, but it started setting off the alarm again. They wanted me to return for a fifth attempt but I just didn't trust them with my car anymore. Would you? Pricing: Before the above "fail" I had requested a quote on a second project, which was about $3,000. I thought that was high, so I got a quote from a reputable competitor which was $2,350. Movin On quickly matched the price. Now, if you can give up $650 on a $3,000 sale and still make money, your markup must be pretty obscene. That's their right if they can get it, but it needs to come with five-star service. It used to, but certainly not anymore. People: The manager, Noel, is a class act who was undermined by poor work by the installation crew. The owner, Mark, sits behind a computer in the showroom and does not even acknowledge customers at all, let alone engage with them. I found that to be very odd but it's not exactly a criticism. Everyone else pretty much kept to themselves, but was courteous enough if I approached them. Takeaway: They may be ok for basic work, but complex jobs get very costly (big markup on hardware, plus labor charges) and are accompanied by a greater risk of poor results. They did a good job with the installation but the customer service is horrible. I spoke to someone the day before to schedule an appointment to get my remote car start installed. It wasn't until one hour into the day they were installing it that he tells me that they can't install the remote because I didn't bring my spare key (which he failed to tell me to bring the day before). I went back home to get the key to get the job done. I waited 3 hours for them to install it. Just when I thought they were done, they inform me that the technician took a piece out which means that now when I start my car with the remote my doors will remain unlocked. They told me to come back the next day to fix the problem which they said will only take 1 hour to fix. I have now been waiting for 2 1/2 hours and it has yet to be fixed. read more

I called this place, they told me to come right in I might have to wait 30min to get my automatic start done. I get there check in went for lunch 2 hours go by I heard nothing. So I went and got it done in 20minutes from another shop up the block. This place had the nerve to call me back the next afternoon asking if I still need to get the job done. read more

I'm having a friend redo it because I don't have time to go back multiple times for them to fix. I live about 40 min east. I've gotten tints here many times in the past and I've never had an issue... I want to start out by saying that my husband and I have been customers here for years and sadly no more. We brought our truck here to be tinted like we always have with every other car before that we have owned and never had a problem. I made an appointment for Sept 23. After 3-5 days we started to see problems within the tints. Like how the tint didn't go all the way down to the weather stripping and there was small hairs inside the tint. Now mind you we have NEVER had this problem before. So I called and was told to bring the truck back and they would do it again. So October 2 we took it back for the SECOND TIME. Again waited 3-5 days before rolling down the windows. This time around the tint was not cut correctly at the top or the bottom of the window, to the point were I was able to play with the excess tint and if I wanted to could have pulled the whole thing off and the tint did not go all the way down to the bottom of the weather stripping. Not what I would call a good tint job. Along with that we started to notice small what looked to be holes in the tints. Again the same problem of the tints not being cut right. By this point I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER. So we take the truck back on October 9... The THIRD AND FINAL TIME. I told them that is not quality work and that I am not happy at all and that I wanted them to do it again. I told them that they have to find time TODAY to fix it (again). So when we went back to pickup the truck I noticed that there was still the same issue with the tint and that it didn't go all the way down to the weather stripping and that it was unacceptable. We asked the manager to look at it and tell us if that was acceptable work to him and was told "Oh my eyes aren't too good these days let me get someone else to look at it". So at this point the tint guy who did the work ALL THREE TIMES comes out and asks "Whats the problem?" My husband showed him that the tint didn't go all the way down, and all you had to do was tuck it under the weather stripping. He response was " Oh I can try that"..... WHY DIDN'T YOU TRY THAT THE FIRST TWO TIMES!!!!!!!!!!! The manager Mark told us that they never want to have unhappy customers and that we should go home and sleep on it. See how we feel in a few days. I told him that we have NEVER had this problem before with tints and that I was very unhappy with the quality of work to which I was told that I was being A BIT TO NIT PICKY! Excuse me how do you speak to customers that way! Sad to say that I will never go back there again for anything and will never recommend them again. read more

Being a repeat customer almost 4 times in the course of 6 months means something. I live in NJ and drive the hour and a half JUST to have them touch my car, because I don't trust anyone else. The way they wire your car, for anything you have to have done to it, is very professional. The pricing is extremely fair for the amount of labor required for some of the tasks. Got my front windows tinted. Was able to communicate questions and inquires via email to the owner. He was very accommodating. I dropped my car off and said I needed it by 4:30p but they called around 3p and said it was ready. The tints are perfect. No bubbles, no scratches. Brought my truck here to get a radar detector installed. After a week I noticed a reading coming up saying I needed to check the receiver wiring- so I called to make an appointment and told them I would call back if I was available that day, which I was not. I called back the following week saying I'd like to bring it in - in which I was rudely told that I had made an appointment and did not show up. False. I showed them my bumper was falsely aligned and ask them to fix it which they agreed on. They told me I could bring it in first thing and I could wait, I dropped it off since this place takes forever. They saw I didn't need it that day so they told me I can get it the next day- it wasn't ready. It wasn't ready for over a week! Within that week waiting for my vehicle they did not call me to tell me what was going on- I had to call and ask what was going on daily. Once I was told to call back at 5:30 to see what's up- how about you call me! You have my truck and know what's going on.. horribly unprofessional. I had work done on my headlights by my boyfriend the week after they installed my radar detector and they blamed us saying that they did not do it but they messed my bumper alignment up- it takes 4 people to even take that bumper off- the wiring for my headlights did not go through my bumper there was no need for the bumper to come off. I had all the pictures of the truck before and right after they did my radar with the crooked bumper all the proof. They realigned the bumper after all that and left me with some nice scuff marks. read more

They wanted $225.00 to do a simple dual din head unit install. This price doesn't even include the hardware (wiring harness, etc.) that you need to connect a head unit to your car. Hell even Best Buy only charges $100.00. Thank god I knew something about this or I would have been gouged by these crooks. A few months ago i made the bad mistake of allowing these bumbs to work on my vehicle . [ they informed me that one of my rear woofers was defective. this turned out to be incorrect . i will get back to this later. As soon as i exited this place after an installation of rear speakers and 5 channel amp my front right woofer was not working.This means the installer did not properly test the system .I returned immediately . He said he checked it when i left 5 minuets ago . I say BULL .... And to add insult to injury he said to come back two days later. They also charged me an additional 75 bucks [ to fix above defect ] to install my own speaker to replace the one they clamed was bad , after overcharging me for the previous components and install. A month later a nice guy at PC richards tested the rear woofer they said was defective and guess what ,there was nothing wrong with it. That means that i had the rear speakers replaced for nothing and that just the rear channel of the amp i had replaced was defective. Also they charged me $500.00 for a Boston AcousticsPro SE60 component speaker system that i could have got for 299.00 at dealercostcaraudio online The amp was also over priced. Do your self a favor stay AWAY from this joint [ IT'S A RIPOFF ].Also they said Boston Acoustics was the best brand of speaker ,now a few months later their web site does not even show the brand on their products list,but instead shows Alpine the brand of speaker they said was inferior to ALPINE .How can you trust a company like this read more
