Amazing talent here! I hope I don't need them again, but if I do, they would be my first call!

I recently purchased a 2026 BMW X7 and was truly excited to bring it home. After a week of driving, I gave it its first wash and discovered a small blemish on the front hood, which had been covered with touch-up paint. I contacted the dealer, and they offered to cover the cost of repainting the entire hood. Since the chip's location would have required painting the fender as well, I sought quotes from several body shops. While many were eager to take on the job, none were willing to focus on just the minor touch-up. This is where Steve and the team at Massapequa Auto Body stood out. Like me, they believed repainting the entire hood of a brand-new car would be excessive. I've been coming to Massapequa Auto Body since I started driving. And when I started driving, I had a station wagon that was already considered antique/historical... it was older than I am now! Freddie and his mechanics were more than willing to go through the car from top to bottom, to ensure that it was safe for a new driver to drive many, many miles. They repaired/replaced parts that needed it, and treated me and my car with respect. Rather than poo-pooing that I was going to college, and working over an hour away besides, they worked on this car so that I could depend on it for years. That's a feat right there. I've used this shop ever since. Although that was several years ago, I continued to use Massapequa Auto Body. They've always handled every job with respect and precision. I was referred to Massapequa Auto Body through State Farm after my 72yr mother crashed her new car. It was a terribly stressful time for her - but Massapequa Auto Body went above and beyond to make things as easy and comfortable for her as possible. The car she crashed was towed to a place 3 towns away and her signature was needed in order for them to release it to Massapequa Auto Body for repairs. Mom was too nervous to drive the rental car over to sign for the release (and I live out of town) - so Massapequa Auto Body picked her up and drove her over. They did this a 2nd time when the car was repaired and ready for her to pick up and take home. This type of personal attention and accommodation really makes a difference. If I could give zero stars I would. This place is a joke. They are con-artists. The owner Fred is an incredibly manipulative person. He swore to me that when my brand new car was in an accident he would be replacing the parts for me with brand new ones. 3 months later I noticed my fender started to come loose again. I took it to a family friend in the business and he clarified that these parts that were replaced WERE ALL AFTERMARKET. I couldn't be more disgusted with the people who run this shop. How do you just lie to your customers? I cant imagine how many people they have done this to. Shame on them. read more

Had been referred to Massapequa Auto Body by State Farm when I got rear ended. Fred and Pat are good honest people. Fixed car better than new. When I picked up car after weekend there was a clicking noise when locked doors. Took car back and Fred took care of it the same day. Our first experience with this place happened when my daughter went to get her car repaired. Fred gave her an estimate and she authorized him to do the repair work. When she went to pick up the car, she found her 5 year old car looking like it was brand new, and he charged her less than the price she authorized. This is what made me go to Fred when my car was in an accident. He gave us a fair and honest estimate (actually had other estimates) and completed the job when it was promised. I couldn't have been more satisfied with his work. Since then, I have recommended him to my family and friends who feel the same way and have had the same experiences that I have had. After a minor car accident out of state caused by a person with the Medicaid of car insurance plans, I accidentally (no pun intended) stumbled upon Massapequa auto body. See my review of frog hollow, where I had intended to go. They were seemingly unwilling to even asses the damage to my car vs. the estimate I received, despite me using them for 16 years... so I called MAB, where I've never been. Judy pulled a Rod roddy/Johnny Olsen of, "come on down!". THEY were willing to compare the damage to the estimate I received. As soon as I agreed to have my car repaired by MAB, Judy took over for me & handled EVERYTHING with the car insurance. While the repair process was slow & tedious (at no fault of MAB, but completely the fault of that out of state car insurance), MAB did exactly as they promised from the start: my car looked better than before the accident. It was a little weird I was requested to pay "my" part (payment from the car insurance I received for the first estimate) in cash & I was missing 2 valve caps on my tires (which they replaced), the most important thing is after 21-22 days, they lived up to their promise & my car was repaired. I honestly hope to never have to return for obvious reasons, but if I do have future issues, I know where I will choose to return & I know who I will recommend from now on. read more

I have used them for over 20 years - family a total of 8 times. He protected us from insurance companies adjusters trying to put a used part on mint cars, not acknowledging true work that has to be done. I live in Staten Island now but still use them. That says it all read more

Went to this place on a referral. The guy, who was one of the owners, immediately told me I had a lot of damage (which I knew). Then he asked if I was going through insurance, which I said "no." Then he told me it's not a $1500 job here, this could cost $4-5k (I got other estimates for $3k). So I said, "I know, I just need a quote and what's the timeframe." He said to me, "I got insurance commitments so it could take 3-4 weeks." Clearly, he didn't want to do the job because he couldn't rip off the insurance companies like he normally does and perhaps didn't think I could afford it. These guys are shady, their fees are inflated and pretty rude. Moving onto to someone else who is honest and wants business, unlike these guys. read more

I was referred to Massapequa Auto Body by my extended family. Several family members had good experiences with quality repairs for multiple reasons. It was my turn, I got side swiped down my entire car by someone who drove directly into me. There were quite a bit of repairs that needed to be done and when I got the car back it looked perfect/brand new. I drove the car for about two years after. Following a horrible winter in 2015, I noticed a minor discoloration issue running at the very bottom of the doors that had been replaced. We called them up to ask if they could take a look at it. It was looked by the owner. He said "We stand behind our work" and explained what he thought may have happened. They repaired my car 2 YEARS AFTER without question and without charging me anything.
