I just texted and asked for a quote today for a move up the street. Whoever texted me back was extremely rude, and told me to f-off and called me a f@#k-wad, due to responding to his rude response after asking him to come by for a quote. I'm super glad I didn't hire them! He also said he would blacklist me because I said that I would find a "nicer moving company". A moving company treating potential clients like that should be ashamed of themselves. Maybe anger management classes would help! read more

I didn't have a lot of stuff left so decided to hire them for the last couple of loads. They require 2 hours minimum, fine no problem we loaded everything in my truck drove a couple of blocks across the street . Outside of them asking for constant feedback on how to load my truck, (hmmm I'm not a mover you should know how to load a truck ) So far no major issues . With a whole hour left to go they decided to over pack my truck to finish the job early. Long story short my baby's new crib flew off and almost hit the car immediately behind us, as well as a fast approaching bus whom luckily was able to dodge the flying crib. They did not offer any compensation just a sorry and reminded us they are not responsible for damages. I've never had such a horrible experience. The word professional is far from what I would use to described them. Hire some real movers! read more

Andrew and crew were awesome. They said they were going to be at my house at 7:30am on a Sunday and they were there at 7:20. Very nice guys. Have used Moving Buddies a few times in the past for simple move jobs (purchased a bed/couch on CL) to whole house moves. Started out with Andrew and now Bo. They are prompt in getting back to you especially in text-Yes, they are short but to the point and straightforward-EXACTLY what I LIKE in business communication. No bs no wishy-washy. Time is valuable and they don't waste time in text as well as when they show to help move. (half the time I figure they are texting short due to doing so WHILE moving a clients furniture-not wasting those who hired them time nor mine when I just have a few questions. Every minute with these guys is spent in motion. The first time someone recommended them to me they talked about moving their refrigerator-they said it was like watching ballet in motion-they made moving such a bulky item look like it was a feather. With zero damage to the items, walls, doors or floors. Will be using them for a whole house move in about 7 weeks. Who cares about a quick straight forward text when all that matters is they show up, they are on time, very professional, they work harder than any movers I've ever seen and they take the utmost care not to damage the structure things are being moved in/out of as well as your property. Previously used moving buddies for a small job of moving a fridge and when it came down to move from the rental into my house I decided to call around. While there are a few reputable places, they do cost a lot. I used one other moving company before who lost things and was a pain to deal with. Moving buddies was prompt and delivered as promise. They even finished under the estimated time. Can't say enough positive things about them. There was nothing broken, a few nicks moving into the new house but very minor. When I found these guys through Yelp, I shared their website with my girlfriend who told me it would probably turn out to be a scam... I'm going to be telling her about how wrong she was for a very very long time. Andrew and Patrick helped with moving my apartment into my moving truck, and they were great. I'd started loading things myself before they got there and thought I was doing a great job but my 2 bedroom apartment full of stuff wouldn't fit. Andrew got into my 16' Penske truck and reorganized everything in a matter of 20 minutes leaving PLENTY of room. That's all it took for me to realize these guys are pros. They had my upstairs unit moved out in just under 2 hours--less time than they quoted me initially, but I helped carry as well. I booked them at the flat rate for the 2nd story 2 bedroom move, and I don't regret it a bit because the price was more than reasonablet. I never felt rushed, they just worked very efficiently. When I arrived at my destination 1300 miles later, my belongings hadn't budged. That was even with me driving the truck (like an idiot most of the time). This was an extremely positive experience, and I'm glad I didn't try to load this truck myself. Do yourself (and these guys) a few favors before you move: reserve their help early because they book up, don't skimp on the moving blankets and ratchet straps (Harbor Freight has both for CHEAP), pack everything ahead of time and stage it so its ready to go out the door (they're too nice to say it, but I bet it drives them nuts when people waste their time), assemble your things outside of the truck and let them arrange it inside (it'll make the truck more balanced weight-wise and help ensure your stuff doesn't move while driving), and (I don't think this is required, but it's kind) don't be afraid to give them a hand (nobody likes moving, these guys do it for a living, it has to be a hard and thankless job that exposes them to a lot of people on one of their worst days--helping out will make your move faster and their job easier). I'm not in Las Vegas anymore, but I'd work with them again and again. Price, service, attitude--these guys are the best! read more

I could have hired any number of other movers to transport my mother's belongings from her apartment in Las Vegas to a storage unit in Downtown LA. But Andrew and Bo came in with an estimate I could handle, and with an attitude that gave me comfort at a difficult time. This review is long overdue. I have used Moving Buddies 4 times over the years, including one for my mom and two were out of state. These guys saved my life with these moves. They are professional and some of the hardest working people I have ever seen, and I would proudly recommend them. I had to pack up one of the houses by myself and they would come over and help me move boxes and furniture to the storage unit before the move as well. They communicate well, I can get a hold of them, don't give up (like going up narrow stairs and corners with reclining furniture...don't judge, it's my husband's), and keep moving until the job is done. I was so lucky to find this company. I needed to move my stuff from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. I had most of my stuff already packed, so the service they offer was perfect for me. Andrew, to whom I spoke to and met, was great and easy to work with. He responded promptly to all my questions and requests in a very professional manner. My case was a bit complicated as I had most of stuff being delivered from San Francisco into a storage facility the same day that Moving Buddies picked up the stuff I wanted in LV.
