Very disappointed in their service. We brought our mower in for regular maintenance 4/22/24. Its always kept in a shed when not in use, never been left outside, never had any issues with anything. It was left outside their business for 2 weeks and 4 days, rained multiple times during this time. Now the back wheels will not roll backwards at all. The owner explained over the phone that moisture can cause this problem, and it happens alot with this model, then denied it being cause by it being out doors for 2.5 weeks. Today when they called me to ask about the wheels they said they had not touched anything on it until today. So it was left outside, for 2.5 weeks for absolutely no reason. read more

I've been going to this place for 20 years , with my lawn mower , snow blower, and generator plus Company snow blowers . I will NOT be go back there , I drop off my mower on the April 12 , I ask the serviceman I would like to have the fuel system clean out only . he said sure , and wrote it down on my recite and ask for a $40 down . No one in the store. Finally called and the person had been sleeping behind the desk and didn't hear me come in. He wheeled out my mower and it now had a broken gas cap. We've been coming here for years. Have bought mowers, snow blowers and have had them repeatedly service. We won't go anywhere else.

If you have the opportunity to go else where do it and save yourself. I have been waiting on my mower for almost two weeks just to find out it hasn't even been looked at yet. They said it should be in the shop by tomorrow and someone will call you once it is to let you know repair cost. The next day went by no call, so I called back the following day and once my mower still hasn't been even looked at. So currently still no mower, no update. Mower is 2 months old. If they let there customers know prior that you may not receive your mower a month, I would have went to someone who actually wanted my business. I took in two mowers and a weed trimmer and the weed trimmer wouldn't start after the service and both of the mowers weren't put back together right so now they are both broken again. Neither of the tops were screwed back in and now they totally popped off and the pull cord won't wind on both mowers. Will never use this guy AGAIN. And it was EXPENSIVE for him to break all three of my machines. read more

Beware of this place. I dropped my gas powered hedge trimmer on 05/17/2018 at approx. 4:30pm. I was told that it would be ready in 2 weeks which seemed long to me in the first place and it was a $40.00 diagnostic fee. 2 weeks had past and I never had heard anything from them. I stopped in on 06/04/2018 at approx. 2:00pm and was informed that my equipment had not been looked at yet but they would look at it that evening or the next morning. 06/05/2018 came and went with no word from them. I again stopped in on 06/08/2018 at approx. 3:00pm and was informed that unit was still not looked at. I then just asked to take my equipment. He apologized and retrieved the hedge trimmer. When he returned he conveniently said that it was now magically looked at and that it needed a carb. I believe this man to be a liar, because 1 minute earlier it had not been looked and now it had, and a cheat, because I had already paid a $40.00 diagnostic fee which was not offered for refund. read more

Dropped my chainsaw of for repairs at the begging of November and was told it would take 2 weeks, 2 weeks went by and it was not fixed, 4 weeks went by and still not fixed 3 months and was told I do not normally take chain saws in due to snowblower season and oh by the way when I took it apart the clutch was cracked but I will replace it with when that is used(probably broken by them) it will be ready in 2 weeks, picked it up in February after 4 months checked it out at home and found the oiler did work, took it back to my northern Wisconsin home and did not use it until July 25th cut one tree and oiler quit working took the side cover off and found they never cleaned the residual oily sawdust out tried to see what was wrong and had no success, took the saw to a local shop in the area and had it fixede was told I was overcharged and also that the oil pump looked like it was used, the oil strainer was dirty and not cleaned and the drive gera looked like it was used, paid an additional $55.75 for the same work that cost me $140.00 and did not work. The more part of Mowers and More stands for all of the BS you will get from them. DO NOT WHATEVER YOU DO TAKE ANYTHING TO THESE GUYS THEY CANT FIND THERE BUTTS IN THE DARK WITH BOTH HANDS AN A FLASHLIGHT. read more

Purchased a Husqvarna ST224 Snowblower from Mowers and More, in 2015. Light snow fall the last two seasons so I only used it may three times since purchase. I properly store the unit every season change the oil, garage kept and covered. The machine is practically new. Yesterday I take it out to take on the recent snow storm 8-10 inches. This is what I bought this thing for right? The Husqvarna ST224 starts right up on the first pull. The problem is that it is stuck in reverse and will not shift into any of the forward gears. I call Mark at Mowers and More. Mark says he has no idea why my blower is not shifting and says I should bring it into the store for service. The next day (today) I try to load the Husqvarna ST224 in my car without success. I call Mark again to see if he could come to pick it up. Mark says because I live in Chicago, about 14 miles away, he cannot help me. Marks does not mind selling $800.00 snowblowers to Chicago residents, but he will not service them unless you bring it in. This would fall under need to know information when purchasing. I wish I'm pretty sure if I were white, I would have been worthy of a service call. I wish could give 0 stars for a rating. Husqvarna should know this racist is representing their product. I'm just the man to let them know. read more

I brought my leaf blower/vacuum in for service in late May for warranty work and it took 12 days to get it back. I had to pay a $40 'diagnostic fee' up-front when I dropped it off. The work was covered under warranty, so I should have gotten the $40 fee back. I asked about getting it back when I picked up the blower, and then when I didn't see the $40 credited to my account by June 24, I called again and was assured that it would be done that day. On July 18, I called again, as the $40 had yet to appear as a credit on my account and was told it would be done, but no apology was offered. On July 20, the $40 was credited back to my credit card account. Note that on July 23, the leaf blower/vacuum exhibited the same symptoms as when I originally took the machine in to Mowers and More for service. I took it back to Mowers and More and an attendant adjusted the machine on the spot. He also apologized for the problems I encountered in getting the $40 credited back to my CC account. read more

To all those considering them: I have six+ years of experience working with these guys. After my review, you will wonder why I stayed, me too. Issues: 1. They have rules for the customers that they don't follow themselves. 2. They don't know how to use a phone to call customers. 3. They aren't there within their established hours of operation. 4. Poor customer service. I will stick to my two most recent experiences: In October (2015) I dropped off two snow blowers, an old Toro and a 27" snow blower. I waited 5 weeks for them to get back to me about what the issues were, they never did (mind you, they 5 to 7 business days). I had to call them to find out what was up. They hadn't even looked at them in 5 weeks. When they finally got around to examining the problems (5 business days later), I decide to just have the larger one fixed. Now during this time we get 8-12" of snow on Thanksgiving weekend (2015) and I don't have my snow blowers. Now I dropped these off on 10/10/2015. They were ready after the snowfall of course. This past spring (beginning of June), I bring in my weedwacker, after 7 business days I still haven't heard from them about what the issue is. Two days later after I called again, they knew then. It took them another 3 days to fix it. They say its a air filter and a fuel line. I ask them to start it in front of me, but they don't, they bring it too me running. Well I take it home and two days later it won't start at all. I return with the weedwacker the next day (Saturday) and Mark says "we'll get on it right away". I have to call Tuesday to see if they have found the problem. They say "yes". New carb is needed. They tell me how long it will take, three to five days. I ask them will it be ready by Saturday 7/2, they say probably. (I ask them are they going to be open on Saturday 7/2, if it is ready, they say yes. I call Friday 7/1 to see if they got the carb and will it be ready and will they be open. They say yes, to everything. Saturday morning 7/2, shop opens at 9am, supposedly. I sit in their parking lot for 30 minutes, no one there. I leave to take care of things, I call every 30 minutes till 1130am to see if they are open, I get the voicemail till 1130am. Finally someone answers, someone is there. Now, after bitching up a storm, they take off the $35 in labor (conveniently I told Mark I didn't want to spend more then $100, the bill was $97.00, this was after spending $75 the first time for a weedwacker and not fixing the problem). Mark finally decides to use his phone and call me three times during the week to talk about the problem. I told him, unless he pays me for my time, don't ever call me again. He hasn't. He acts like they are the only lawnmower repair place in Villa Park, IL, you have to pay up front for deposits so they will work on them, then they sit on your money. They don't know how to call customers, stick to their time lines or rules. If you have nothing but time and money to give them, use them. Though I suggest not. Jeff read more

I was sent an email the day before the appointment telling me they cannot confirm the time. I was told when I signed up the online time means nothing. Again it was handled poorly and I did not feel he wanted my business. I have found a great company that is willing to fix my mower without an attitude. Had my Toro snowblower into another shop down the street a few years prior and recieved mediocre service, wanted to give another place a shot. Snowblower would not start and auto start stopped working. Called, was happy to hear they did pick up and delivery. Initial interaction was fine. After a few days heard from them, tune up, new paddles, etc. But said the auto start would be really expensive...sort of talked me out of replacing it so I said fine, leave it off. About $300 later snowblower was delivered back home just in time for a big snowstorm (2015) and...snowblower would not start. Neighbor even tried to help start it. Called, and they were closed for vacation. Waited until they returned, they said they would pick it up again and they had it for a bit and delivered it back to the house, supposedly it started fine. Supposedly something was not competely assembled or set. By that time snow had melted and never had a need to use it. Go be honest, got busy and completely forgot about trying to start it. Got it out for this season and...no starting no matter what I try. I would call them again, but the last time I did they made me feel like it was my fault.
