I was looking to get the impeller replaced joe noticed the fuel filter needed replacing with fuel pump quick upcharge fine needs it get er done as they say. sent me vid of it running great, also mentioned trailer bearings need replacing. fine do that while it's there i like to support local business whenever possible Impeller was 8 yrs old other parts were original equipment super reliable motor. Everything fine till pickup paid over 1000 for probably 600 worth of work, but hey ya gotta pay to play. joe mentioned the tarp on the boat was blowing around. when i looked it was because they were too lazy to put the Bunge cords on to hold the tarp they were laying on the ground with the tarp stuffed in the boat. so i started putting the tarp on myself and had a cardiac event setting off my defibrillator 1st time in 2 yrs 4th since 2017 .should have gone and asked for help but was too stubborn. so i took several breaks and struggled on. Small things like putting the customers tarp back on matters. It shows as a business owner you care. myself being a business owner. would be like remodeling a kitchen and then taking the boxes from the cabinets and leaving them on the kitchen floor. if the amount of care taken with the tarp is any indication of the quality of the work done on my motor which is usually a pretty good indicator I'm in trouble.

I called them and he told me to bring it back so I did and then he told me it is my oil pan gasket and charges me another $1,000 when I got my truck back. I had rim and underglow lights on my vehicle, the front rim light was damaged so I called him immediately and told him about it, he said that his new employee damaged it by accident because the rim was too heavy and he will repair or replace and I can get that done and he will pay for it. I went and got quotes and sent them to him and he did not want to speak to me anymore after that. I also felt something was wrong with the motor so I brought it to the emission center and it showed that my oil pump switch is bad, so now I had to replace my oil pump. This family is not trustable please do not bring your vehicles here, his daughter when I went to the shop to talk to them would not even look at me, I could see the owner in the back ducking behind a vehicle and she snatched the paperwork out of my hand. I'm in the court process now. His lawyer called me and asked if I could remove my first reviews and they would settle out of court so I removed all my reviews that anybody could see and then they said they were not going to pay. I have all my documents showing the days that he had my truck my truck was passing no codes were getting sent and then right after I get my truck back my engine lights were on and my engine was acting funny. This company is untrustable please do not bring your vehicle to this office they will overcharge and not take care of the issue please beware!!!!!!!!!

They are 4x4 specialists and will tell you like it is regarding any repairs that are needed for your vehicle. My Explorer was in need of the rear end to be rebuilt after 100,000 miles, as it started howling on a recent trip. I was expecting this not to be a cheap repair but with the expertise of SDL, they still made it reasonable and what I was expecting to pay. I also brought up a couple of small leaks on my transfer case and Phil's team included the repair as part of the initial quote! If you're looking for a repair shop to talk to you in unicorns in pixie dust, please get that out of your mind before you walk in the door as you will basically get a point blank description of what is wrong with your vehicle and what is needed for them to complete any service to your vehicle. Be prepared for direct and honest communication! Don't expect to get a trophy for showing up and bringing your car in for service! We brought our truck to them to have an issue fixed and the first time service was wonderful. I…read morewanted to purchase a new vehicle from them but they did not have the car I was looking for. So I ended up purchasing elsewhere even though this dealership was going to be my new go to for service and another car down the road. Our new "used" car with a full warranty is making a small sealing noise by the window and I called the dealership to see if they could fix it since I felt more comfortable here after an uncomfortable terrifying experience at another dealership. The service employee on the phone was rude, cut me off on the phone and was extremely disrespectful! I came in the next day to show the video of the issue and to talk to them about the coverage. They won't touch it unless they charge me a diagnostic fee of nearly $200 (even though I'm told by two other dealerships it's covered under the warranty). They said someone else touched it and it's bad craftsman ship now, it was one seal replaced...? He kept telling me to take it elsewhere. Extremely rude, disrespectful, and even if they personally won't touch it - learn to talk to your customers with respect!!!! Our family has done business with them, we are long term friends with some of the employees, and our family has been in Glen Ellyn for over 100 years... looking for a reliable dealership - ONE of the reasons I went with a CHEVY vehicle! I won't be returning to this location!
