I rarely leave a one star review but tonight had a sales person show up at my door at 8:15 PM. I find it unacceptable that a sales person ring or knock on my door after 8:00 and would not take no for an answer. I had just put my kids down to sleep and now they are wide awake. Had our first service with Moxie. Hector M. Was professional and courteous. He explained everything he was going to do in both front and back yards. He saw that we have a dog and he explained the need to keep dog from backyard at least 2 hours ( and to water it first in order to soak the granules done). The sales rep that came to my door, did nothing but pressure me into a 12 month contract that I never wanted. Please respect when people tell you no. We had someone come over the weekend and my husband already told him no and now this morning someone else came. I informed him I have an ankle injury, a toddler and a large dog I'm trying to control and I told him I wasn't interested he kept pushing even though I couldn't stand on my leg for very long. I signed up for Moxie Pest Control in 2020. They scheduled a free termite inspection, which was not included in their current pest control contract. The initial Moxie inspector (sales person) told me that in his opinion my home is susceptible to underground termites and that the repair costs to my home would be significant if I did not get a termite protection plan. He raddled off some pricing, which I did not comprehend because I was feeling foggy from my first COVID-19 vaccine shot. I asked for a copy of the agreement and he told me that I would get it. In my normal state, I read every contract agreement before signing up but with the side effects of the vaccine and Moxie's sneaky sales approach they take advantage of seniors who cannot read fine print on their sales tablet, which they ask you to sign. Once I was feeling better, I contacted Moxie online and to send me the service agreement that I signed as promised. Moxie did not respond, even though I provided my phone number for a text and my email as a 2nd form of contact. Next, I decided to check out my online account because Moxie never sent me the agreement Terms & Conditions (T&C). I finally found Moxie's customer agreement T&C form. However, I could not read the fine print on my cell phone so I tried on my laptop, I still could not read the fine print so I copied it and created a Word document in a font size that I could read. Moxie's cost for one-year protection is $1087 for less than 1 hour of labor and 17 stakes in the ground. This is an absolute ripoff. read more

I've been using Moxie for a little over a year now. The techs are very nice and well-mannered. Moxie will also return "free of charge" if you find more bugs after they come and spray- even though you're technically paying every month, they service your home quarterly. The issue I have with this company is that the last 2 techs that have come to our house have only used granules. I did not know this until we continued to have more and more bugs and the third tech showed up and looked at the history report. He told me they hadn't sprayed for 2 cycles. That's a total of 6 months. So I just payed arnd $200+ for some granules to be put down. The current tech is spraying. Idk if the techs were just lazy or if this is standard practice. Regardless, I'm frustrated. I will be canceling my service tomorrow. If I'm paying for a service I expect it to be done correctly. It shouldn't be up to me to figure out who is spraying when, and what chemicals they're using and/or granules. Or whatever. So I guess if you're gng to use them you'll need to check and make sure they're spraying and putting down a granule barrier. And ask what chemicals they're using and what it kills. Keep notes and then match it with the next person that comes. On another note, I've never had as many bugs gng through my house as I have had with Moxie. I'm guessing it's because they don't spray. read more

We just started using Moxie recently and have found them to be very professional and punctual. We opted for an annual contract and they come out quarterly. Initially they spray outside and brush the eaves for webs, unlike other pest control companies. Then 30 days later they returned to repeat the service to insure they destroy the nests. The "field experts", Cameron & Lincoln arrived and did a very thorough job. These young men were friendly and even replaced a half dozen sticky traps in the garage. I would recommend Moxie for any pest control service. Afterwards, I received an email that breaks down their service call. We've used other local pest control companies in the past on other homes we've owned. I find Moxie did a more complete pest control service. read more

James was the technician who arrived today for the Moxie Pest Control Service. As per, seriously polite young man who listened patiently and answered my questions without hesitation. I'd write more but unfortunately, I am pressed for time. in a nutshell, I have never had any issues with Moxie except once. I called them to come back and spray a little more in the backyard. It wasn't anything that Moxy had done wrong it was the fact that it's that time a year! The tiny swarming white flies looked like a light fog over the backyard grass in the early morning. They weren't out during the last treatment so it was entirely my fault for not mentioning them at the last appointment. At any rate, they graciously came back and sprayed the entire backyard and asked if there was anything else they could do while they where there. I've never had a problem with any of their technicians being impolite or impatient or anything else out of the ordinary. I find it hard to believe some of the stories that people write about some of the technicians, at least on the west side in Goodyear and Avondale. They've always been absolute professionals, men and women both. They've never argued or made excuses like in some of the riduliculous reviews I've read. I think those are written by people who are just having a bad day and shame on them! For taking it out on somebody who doesn't at all, deserve their wrath. I've been with Moxy going on 7 or 8 years now. Love this company and their employees. I recommend them to all my friends and family and to you if you're reading this. Please know. I am not friends with the owner or anything else. I'm just a regular homeowner. A Moxy customer who couldn't be happier with the service I've received from this excellent pest control service. Comparing prices to other big name brand services, the savings aren't bad either! Never have any of them been rude, impolite or put me in question, about their abilities. Give Moxie a try! Moved into a new house and with summer here and two children, I wanted to make sure we didn't have any issues with scorpions or spiders so we have been using Moxie. Our field expert, Nate H, came and removed any webs and sprayed the whole backyard for everything. Between the first and second visit, the only insects I had seen were a few ants so when he came the second time I let him know. He located the trails and got rid of them. Been ant and pest free as far as I've seen. They said they can also help with our pigeon problem too (they love our pool) so I'm looking forward to that! I am really tired of this company sending aggressive sales people to my house trying to sell their services. I have a No Soliciting sign clearly posted which they completely ignore. When I tell them "no thank you" I am ignored and steamrolled to the point where I have to close the door while he is still talking. Their business model is very disrespectful and dismissive of people's requests to be left alone. They also lie about having neighbors that use their services when they don't. So shady. These guys came to my door and offered an initial pest control service at a reduced rate. I paid the rate and they signed me up for a repeating service. I did not feel like did what they said they would do, and simply sprayed a little chemical around the permieter of the house. I truly felt like they scammed me after looking back on my video cameras at the techs. When they called back to schedule future services I turned them down and attempted to cancel the service. The sales guy on the phone was VERY smug and quick to let me know they would charge me $150 to cancel the service. So basically if your not happy with their service they will retaliate with fees. This type of moraly corrupt business practices just re-inforces my decision to send them on their way. read more
