We love staying at the Moxy everywhere in the world! What makes this chain hotel by Marriott so special is how they fit everything into such small rooms. Haha Kidding, while the rooms are really small and not suitable if you are on a weeks-long business trip since you do not really have a space to put clothes- at least not a lot. You always have a comfy bed and some Hanger integrated into the room's design and somewhat that can work as a desk or for a lunch table (for one). So when the rooms are so small why do we Come back? It's the vibe. The concept that Moxy has is to address the young independent traveler. With a backpack maybe one suitcase and for a short stay. And not like other brands all rooms and the hotel lobby are the same. With Moxy you don't wanna stay in your room you wanna go into your living room - the place to be. It's the community spot, the place to eat, to play, and yes to check - at the bar! Moxy is different and so is every Moxy in each city always a vibe of the town. Moxy is fun! This moxy in Seattle is no exception and features the timberland surrounding - always friendly young stuff makes you feel like you're sofa surfing with friends. We will be back in another town - we don't need to stay for a week or with two suitcases.

We're really easy to access. The ambience is really nice. Nice place to meet and greet.

Very cool boutique hotel while still having the name brand behind the Marriott. The lobby is very cozy and eclectic. The check in is also a bar, and they have a little menu that you can order from. They serve complimentary coffee as well. The rooms are small but cozy. Very unique decor that is stylish. The hotel is within walking distance to a lot! There is no hotel parking, but the street parking isn't a problem and it's not very expensive.

I stayed here for a couple of nights and enjoyed it overall. The staff at check-in are really nice and friendly. Like all Moxy's, they give a ticket for a free welcome drink that can be used on beer, wine, or espresso. The lobby area has an open layout, with plenty of seating and tables along with board games, a big jenga, and tv's broadcasting the games live. The room is a bit small, but cozy. Felt it was weird that the window is directly opposite of the other building so I just closed the curtains for the most part haha. The room does have a desk built in the wall and a beer bottle opener ftw! There is a gym with cardio, free weights, filtered water, towels and even some spare headphones (new and packaged individually) for use. The location is great and it's only a couple blocks away from lake union which made for a nice run in the morning. It says it's downtown, but it's really south lake union. The walk isn't bad though if you're trying to go sight seeing around the city. Would definitely stay here again!

My first time staying at a Moxy hotel. The pictures on the website intrigued me. I'm very impressed! Love the casual comfort & ambiance there. The friendly staff explain that it's unique in that it's designed for the rooms to be very simple with hopes that people spend more time downstairs in the lobby/bar/lounge/gameroom area, to encouraging socialization. An excellent idea especially for single travelers! The room is simple & uniquely decorated. They don't have refrigerators or microwave ovens in the rooms but it can be requested. Nice bar area & they give you a complimentary drink at check-in! Great location, very close to downtown Seattle, Volunteer Park, Seattle Center, Pike Place Market & more. Very fun place! Sorry I couldn't stay longer to experience it more.

Stayed at this hotel for a work trip. On one hand, it's close to touristy spots, Whole Foods, CVS. It's affordable, and you get a ticket redeemable for one free drink. They also have a basement gym. I got a surprise menstrual cycle visit and when I asked if they had pads they gave them to me (free) , no questions asked, literally saving my pants. You have to ask but if you want a microwave or mini fridge they'll send someone up to your room to give it to you. I wasn't a huge fan because I'm familiar with Marriotts and they tend to have more amenities. I was hoping for closet/drawer space, coffee/tea available whenever, teeny little travel bottles of lotions/soaps. I was told that they purposely do this so that people could spend more time mingling in the lobby area. So if you're a fellow introvert, this may not be your ideal hotel. Otherwise, you'll enjoy the contemporary social atmosphere.

We love staying at Moxy Hotels and the Seattle location is the one that started it all for us. Initially, I only booked it because it was a super low nightly rate (for being in Seattle) but knowing what I know now, I definitely would have paid more. For starters, you check in at their bar (which is awesome, by the way) and you're given tickets for a complimentary cocktail upon check-in (the freebie is their "Moxy" cocktail. It's ok, but there's barely any alcohol in it). The rooms are tiny with minimalistic amenities but if you're in Seattle to sight see and not relax, it'll suffice. There is a small work desk, large comfortable bed, large tv and a nice walk-in shower. The lobby has lots of seating to socialize or just chill by yourself. There's a small selection of drinks (water, soda, etc) and food you can purchase. For hotel guests, there's free coffee available in the morning. Something I really appreciated was the water bottle refill station. That helped a lot. Just know that the bar area is open to anyone. Not just those staying at the hotel. So on weekend evenings it tends to get pretty busy. You'll need a room key to access the elevator so no need to worry about some random weirdo roaming the halls. Location was pretty good. We were fairly central to popular attractions like the Space Needle and Pike Place. All in all, I would definitely stay here again. It's a nice hotel with solid offerings and amenities.

The size of their rooms are smaller than other Marriotts hotels but very modern and stylish. I really like their minimal decors for the room. The only drawn back is they do not have a fridge in the room. They have a huge lobby with a bar at the center and activities to encourage guests to spend time in the common areas. All the staffs/bartenders/servers there were so friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay there again next time just because of them.

Loved this hotel such great customer service. They only charged me $580 for 4 days. You are also close to CVS, waterfronts, and other restaurants. Great location! It is close walking distance to Space Needle Downtown Seattle Capitol Hill Pike Place Market There is also a train which takes you there almost immediately in like 15 mins. They also had a great drinks such as the "Moxy Cocktail." They also have a Jenga, Foosball, SeatSaw, Connect 4, gym

The staff here is so friendly! They are kind and welcoming and remember you as a return guest. The bar is awesome!! Lots of great drink choices! I also had one of their flatbreads and it was delicious!! The rooms are also fun and have great decor and functionality! The bed is super comfortable and the shower is great! I plan to stay here anytime I'm in Seattle!

I was all set to love this Moxy as much as I loved the Moxy in Munich. Alas...they're not the same. I mean, they're the same brand and you get pretty much the same things, but this hotel's rooms are much smaller than the Munich one, and had some quirks that I'm still puzzling over. It had the same youngish-vibes throughout the hotel, from the lobby to the elevators (which were decorated to make it look like you were inside a jacket pocket) to the bright pink toiletries and hair dryer in the room. But...the bathroom was right next to the room's entrance - seriously, like all you had to do was take a step from the front door to get to the toilet, which is a bit off-putting, honestly. I don't want to have to worry about someone walking past hearing me tinkle! The room had a hand-held steamer, but no lotion. It had a tiny microwave, but no fridge. It had a fold-up desk, but no safe. It felt very utilitarian, even for one who knew going in that it wouldn't have some "basic" amenities (nightstands, drawers, etc.) The best thing about the room was the shower, hands down. The rainfall showerhead helped wash away the stress of travel and sweat from the hot, humid summer weather. Only one side of the bed - which had a decent mattress, at least - had outlets or any place to plug in devices. The only other outlets were in the bathroom or at the fold-up desk. (Hint, if you need more power, unplug the naked light fixture to reveal two USB chargers and another outlet.) The best thing about the hotel was the location. It's only a mile to Pike Place - which is how I measure just about everything when visiting Seattle - and situated just a few blocks from the South Lake Union area. Lots of running/walking spaces, plus a nice selection of casual to upscale restaurants within easy walking distance. Also, if you're thinking about hitting the CVS that's a couple blocks away, just don't. They were so picked over and understocked the one time they went in I just have to believe they were brand new. Instead, hit the Bartell Drugs off of Mercer Street for fully a stocked store and knowledgeable staff.

There's only a small area for parking in front of the hotel and it's also the spot for Valet. You'll likely have to post up in the travel lane to check in or drop off your car. The hotel has some unique amenities but I wasn't able to use them for such a short stay. The King corner room far exceeded my expectations. It's spacious and felt pretty luxurious. The star of the room is the soaking tub. It's deep and the water is hot. I especially liked that there's a separate shower. The workspace is nice and there are plenty of plugs for everything. The Nespresso comes stocked and is free to use. The mini bar, not so much, and it's pretty pricy. The bed. THE BED! If I could have brought it home with me I would have. It's lush and it smelled good. Like fresh dryer sheets good. I don't think I've ever said that about a hotel bed before. If you need a firm bed you won't like this one. I didn't have much interaction with the staff but when I did it was pleasant. I am definitely staying here again.

One stand out is the gentleman at Rosebay craft cocktails serving wine at the 3 o'clock hour. He was exceptional.

I booked it partly because it's part of Hilton's Tapestry Collection, so I could earn and redeem Hilton Honors points. That was a huge plus since I was visiting during the World Cup and hotel prices were absolutely wild: close to $800 a night if I had paid out of pocket! The service was excellent from the moment we arrived. There was a bellman opening the door, everyone we interacted with was friendly and accommodating, and it was always easy to grab an Uber right outside the hotel. One feature I really liked was the little pantry in the lobby. It's basically a self-service convenience store stocked with local candy, snacks, wine, beer, and other treats. You scan everything yourself and can charge it directly to your room, which was super convenient. We used our HHonors stay credit to buy a small bottle of Washington State wine and some local chocolates. The hotel has a really fun music theme throughout, and the design is modern with a Scandinavian-inspired feel. As a Gen Xer, I thought the vibe was just plain cool without trying too hard. Our standard King room had huge windows, a spacious sitting area, and clean, minimalist European-style décor that felt fresh and comfortable. The hotel itself was also surprisingly quiet despite being located in an urban area, so we slept really well. The only disappointment was our view. It wasn't much to look at. I was secretly hoping for an upgrade, but no luck. Not a deal breaker, just a minor letdown considering one side of the hotel affords perfect views of the Space Needle. The location is excellent for sightseeing on foot. We walked to Pike Place Market in about 10 minutes, and the Space Needle was also around a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction. Just be prepared for Seattle's hills! They're no joke, and you'll be going up and down some very, very steep streets to get to the waterfront. There are also plenty of great restaurants, bars, shops, and coffee shops within easy walking distance. One thing I'd mention is that while we felt comfortable during the day, after dinner around 10:45 p.m. we decided to take an Uber back from the Pike Place Market area instead of walking back to the hotel because parts of the area felt a little sketchy at night. Seattle has a very serious problem with drug users and unhoused folks, and they can get a little scary. I feel so badly for them, but I also felt a lot safer in an Uber than trying to walk back in the downtown area that late at night. The Sound is a stylish, comfortable hotel with excellent service, a great location, and a fun personality. If you're a Hilton Honors member, it's an especially solid choice when Seattle hotel prices are high.

The room is much more spacious than pictures can show. I really enjoyed the two separate seating areas. The window area settee was the perfect place for a snack and using my laptop to prepare for the next day. The closet has more than just two hangers, which I appreciated being able to hang the clothes that needed to be hung and steamed later. The bed was soft, but not overly so and the charging options on the nightstand helped me keep some of my electronics packed and neat. Being in Downtown Seattle, I really didn't feel like I needed a car. The Sound is situated in a great place to just walk where I needed to go. Less than five minutes away from Westlake where I could catch either the monorail or Link, was very convenient for me. I enjoy walking around to get familiar with the area I'm in and there was so much to see!!! I will be back to The Sound for my next Seattle adventure!

Our last two nights of our journey were spent in Seattle at the Shafer Baillie mansion. I would highly recommend staying here. The location was great for getting to downtown and all around. It was built in 1914 and has been well cared for over the years. When we came back from one evening out, we all gathered in the Library and set up some charcuterie and wine to share from our travels. It was so cozy sitting all together and chatting about our adventures. The rooms are historic with modern conveniences. Our room was the Queen Ann Hill. We slept soundly in our comfortable 4 poster bed. There was a helpful step stool for me to climb up as I am vertically challenged. It has original pushbotton light switches. There were two showerheads in the tiled shower. Breakfast was lovely. I, personally, have a great deal of food allergies. There was ample selection that I was able to enjoy just as much as anyone else. There were breads and pastries, jams and spreads, yogurt and fresh berries, and a hot breakfast dish. Hard boiled eggs were available as well as cheeses and meats. There was a coffee bar that was available all day that also had tea and cocoa. We sat at the long dining table enjoying each others company and conversation. We got to meet some of the other guests which added to the experience. The temperature controls worked great, the bed was very comfortable and had an adequate number of pillows, the bathroom was well-appointed, and everything was very clean. The bath towels were large, soft, and plush. The frosted door to the water closet was a nice touch for the sake of privacy if you were sharing the space with someone. The shower was not huge but it was more than adequately spacious for me. There were 2 robes hung in the bathroom (though I didn't use them). The small table and chairs near the window were convenient and comfortable to work from. The view from my room was very nice, especially during clear days when you can see the water and the mountains in the distance. The room was always well maintained after the typical morning cleaning as well as during turn down service. I appreciated the staff placing slippers by the bed and how they always nicely arranged my toiletries in the bathroom, replaced used towels with fresh ones, and even placed things on the table in the bedroom (like my charger, earbud case, eyeglass case, and so on) neatly for when I returned. The bar area at the back of the restaurant was a nice little area and had a table large enough for our group of around 8-10 to comfortably sit at while enjoying a nightcap. My breakfast the day I checked out was also high quality and my server Nathan was pleasant, timely, and honest about prep time of some items I wanted to order but was constricted due to a time crunch. In general, every staff member I encountered was pleasant, eager to help, and always smiled and made eye contact when speaking with me.
