    Fantastic Pizza - Awesome Crew!
    Michael E.

Incredible pizza place, I used to have to drive forever to get good pizza. Now we have probably the best pizza restaurant within a 25 mile radius here in Moyock. I live for pizza, and this place has never disappointed me or my family. I've totally enjoyed the Pizzas every time (Hawaiian is our favorite) and this is one of the few places that has salami, the Stromboli's are excellent, the Knots are tasty and the deserts are so worth the extra calories. Their new pizza oven has really helped them keep up with the orders - it seems like everyone in town goes here now. They hire a lot of the local kids and they really they really look like they enjoy working at MPK. The people up front are so courteous and professional, what energy! The owner put in some awesome new benches, I will be dining in next time!

Thank you MPK! Your pizza is always amazing and was a great addition to making my Mother's Day special.

The pizza at MPK is the best you'll find! Thank you for making my Mother's Day special.

I came here with my mom, hubby, and son for dinner on a Saturday evening. The lady at the counter was super friendly and helpful. After telling her this was our first time, she gave us a menu and told us to sit down and just come up when we were ready. We ordered a cauliflower Hawaiian pizza, pepperoni and mushroom pizza, and a small pepperoni pizza. I ordered a mushroom and sausage calzone. My calzone was delicious! Oh, we also ordered garlic knots and these were the best. It was soaked in garlic butter and garlic and just made our mouths happy. We also ordered a small Greek salad and a small chef salad. It was just okay. I'm very impressed with this restaurant! We definitely will be back! Also, I received a 10% coupon when I checked in on Yelp. Great service. Very clean.

Pepperoni, mushroom, green pepper and onion pizza.

We ordered delivery, the pizza was early, and the food was absolutely delicious!! I only got a picture of my perfect pizza, but the Bacon cheesy fries and the Apple pie pizza were fantastic as well.

A very delicious pie right here

New to the area and was thankful for Yelp. We found this great pizza place literally on our way through town. The vibe was positive and lots of smiling faces. Friendly staff. The pizza was a welcome feast for a trek across the country! We landed in the right place.

Living in the OBX, I searched for a pizza joint worth trying while traveling home. I found Moyock Pizza on Yelp! The restaurant is located in a stand alone strip mall off a "feeder street". Upon entering we were warmly greeted by the front counter staff to sit wherever we wished. What they neglected to tell us was you must place your order at the counter and retrieve your plates, silverware yourselves. The fountain machine is a "serve yourself" setup as well. Unfortunately we chose a table and sat waiting for someone to take our order. A couple came over and clued us in to the "the way" after they themselves had sat for over 15 minutes before they were aware. We ordered sodas and 2 Large pizzas, a pepperoni & all pepperoni 1/2 green pepper & 1/2 mushroom. The pizzas were delivered relatively fast! The pepperoni only pizza was "perfection", nice NY style with chewy/crisp crust . The other pizza was a bit disappointing, the inner circumference crust was soaking wet (actually sitting in a pool of greasy water). I believe it was the fresh veges that released their water while cooking. I cut away the wet parts and enjoyed the outer edges, my husband opted for the pepperoni only pizza, he was very disappointed given the price. The delivery aspect is super busy, so definitely a popular place! Yes we would stop in again, but opt for the pepperoni only pizza!

We order here often! Our favorite is the Philly Special! We do both pick up and delivery..They deliver surprisingly far out, and never take too long. Food is quality and consistent! Last time we dined in, the service was so personable! They gave my daughter a big chunk of dough to play with while we waited for our pizza! Love this local spot

It's a nice place to have a quick meal with the family. Good garlic knots. My wife and daughter seem to enjoy it.

I tried the chopped, they called it minced, BBQ. It was very finely chopped, without any texture, and heavily seasoned with a vinegar-based sauce. It was definitely not the best Eastern NC 'Q I've eaten. At least the slaw seemed freshly made. I paid an up charge for sweet potato fries and was rewarded with a heaping helping of undercooked frozen sweet potato fries that were closer to tasteless than tasty. The hush puppies were just balls of bready blandness - yuck. My dining companion tried the fried chicken and pulled pork combo. She thought the fried chicken was good and based on the number of other Customers ordering it, this is Southland's main draw. The pulled pork was stringy strands of pork seasoned like the chopped 'Q; she tried a couple of bites and gave up. Our server was not attentive and seemed like she didn't really care too much. The tasty fried chicken knocked Southland out of the running for a 1-star review, but all-in-all our meal just wasn't very good and really doesn't paint NC BBQ in a positive light.

The service is great, Becca was very kind, genuinely friendly and had the sweetest smile. The other servers were also very attentive and friendly so they're doing that part right! The prices are average and the restaurant and bathrooms are clean so they're doing that right too! The food though, oh gosh, the food is severely sub par. I got the mixed platter with fried chicken and pulled pork, hubby got the brisket platter. The fried chicken tasted old, not sure how to describe it, it felt and tasted old with a rubbery skin I could barely chew. The pulled pork was not edible, it was so dry I couldn't chew it enough to swallow it! Hubby said the Mac and cheese was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed the mashed potatoes! Let's talk about the brisket though! Paper thin slices of meat, reheated on a grill top and smothered in a weird gravy. Pretty much leather straps! The hush puppies were nice and the onion rings were too but gosh, the mains just failed so miserably. I almost forgot, I also had the salad bar, it was very small but nicely stocked and clean. Sorry for the two stars but folks need to know what to expect, perhaps the burgers and sandwiches are good?!

Lauren, our bartender, took great care of us from the moment we sat down. She was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer our questions while offering several excellent menu suggestions. My wife chose the crab cakes, served with two sides and hush puppies. She paired them with green beans and fried okra, and she enjoyed every bite. These weren't the typical crab cakes that rely on breadcrumbs and filler. Instead, they were packed with sweet, fresh crab meat and just enough binder to hold everything together. That's exactly how a crab cake should be. The fried okra arrived piping hot with a wonderfully crisp exterior while remaining tender and flavorful inside--that magical kind of cooking that leaves you wondering, "How did they do that?" The hush puppies were equally impressive. Had the portions not been so generous, we probably would have ordered another basket. I ordered the soft-shell crab and shrimp platter with fries and green beans, which happened to be the day's special. After tasting it, I completely understood why. The soft-shell crab was perfectly seasoned, crisp, hot, and absolutely delicious. The shrimp were cooked just as well. I'm a sucker for good cocktail sauce, and they certainly serve a good one here. The surprising part? This seafood simply didn't need it. I enjoyed every bite exactly as it came--no sauce required. One additional surprise was the seafood market attached to the restaurant. Their display cases were stocked with fresh local seafood at very reasonable prices. If you're looking to bring home fresh fish or shrimp after your meal, it's worth taking a few extra minutes to browse the market before you leave. We finished our meal with a pleasant conversation with Lauren, and it was the perfect ending to an excellent lunch. If you find yourself traveling to or from Nags Head, do yourself a favor and stop at Frog Island Seafood Restaurant & Market. I think you'll leave just as pleasantly surprised as we were.

I woke up...and had a delicious time! The reviews here tell you how great this place is, and well...believe them! I thought for sure it would be over-hyped and not live up to what people write and say, but I will admit to being wrong. First, our server, Krickett, was agreed upon (by my partner and I) to be the best server we have ever had. She was friendly, outgoing, had good recommendations, and an all-around joy. Second, the food! Wow! My partner had a salad...simple enough, right? But no, she was amazed by it. And she is a vegetarian, so she has had a lot of salads over the years. This one blew her away. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. Was it life-changing? No. But it was way better than what a grilled chicken sandwich normally is. It was tender, juicy, with just the right seasoning. I would be a criminal if I didn't mention the bruschetta...get it with the burrata...it is worth it! The crispy bread with balsamic drizzle is good enough with the diced tomato mix, but the cheese gives it a new level. And, I hope you saved room for dessert, because the key lime pie was a mouth explosion.

The restaurant has two distinct dining areas: the front section is first-come first-served bar seating that offers the full menu. The back section, which would be ideal for families, holds about 30 tables, mostly booths, with the hostess stand. We chose to sit at the bar and had a great experience. We started with bruschetta topped with burrata cheese. I ordered the angel hair pasta in a white garlic butter, cream sauce with marinated chicken and grilled vegetables. My husband ordered the special hamburger with Swiss cheese bacon, spinach and mayo with a side of fries. We ended with slices of the key lime pie that didn't disappoint! The food, service, staff and environment were exceptional! We overheard the Server mention that veterans receive complementary meals on Veterans Day, which speaks volumes about how this restaurant supports those who have served. If you are in the Outer Banks- whether you're staying in Kill Devil Hills or nearby- this restaurant is worth the drive and all the hype!
