Just look at the reviews, these guys are great. Went in to get an oil change about 2 months ago and they were very straightforward and honest. They didn't try to sell me any other service except what I went in for, which is nice for a change. This was my first time going here, and I did go in about an hour or two before they closed and they were busy but still managed to fit me in to their schedule. I did have to wait a bit but I didn't mind as I could tell they were busy and they were very accommodating. I am relieved that I've found a place I can trust. Experienced some overheating issues and coolant leaking into my passenger side floorboard. Did a little online digging to learn it was the heater core. Took my Jeep in to MP Auto this morning. They checked it out immediately and gave me an estimate (priced lower than the lowest online estimate I found for my vehicle experiencing this service). The part was going to come from Houston, but Hieu knew I really needed my car back so he called all of the local dealers to find my USA Made part (as opposed to the lesser quality but more expensive equivalent that they could have gotten today also). Nice to know there is still honest people in the world and at MP Auto Repair they are just that! Took my wife's car into them {today} because the check engine light came on Saturday. Called as soon as they opened and was told they could look at it as soon as i get there. Once I arrived they had the car in the bay and fixed in 20 minutes! Think when we had the oil changed last week {at a quick oil change place} the tech knocked the hoses lose and caused the engine fault light? They showed me what had happened and fixed the hose and didn't charge me anything? I'm a customer for life now! First off this is the 3rd place I took my car, and the two previous mechanics could not identify the problem. Explained my situation, and not only were they helpful and found the problem; because it was a minor problem window issue of all things...and one that needed a window specialist, they waived all diagnostic charges and sent me where I needed to go. We had an issue with our car last Christmas Day while staying at a nearby campground and called the day after, not really expecting to be able to get in for service. MP Auto Repair told us to bring it on in and repaired our car very quickly and at a very reasonable price. I have just move here from Florida and was looking for a new trustworthy auto repair shop like I had in Florida at Richies garage. So I looked online and saw this place and saw that the reviews were good. I called and told him what I needed and he told me that he needed to look it over. So I brought it in and he looked it over and gave me a quote and explained it to me very Thoroughly and he shopped around for the less expensive part.So I Brought my car in 2days later and they had my car fixed by noon and was in constant contact with me. They fixed my part and on top of that washed my motor for free! THIS WILL BE MY REPAIR PLACE FOREVER! They are in business to help, not rip you off. I have used this place for years and for multiple makes and models, and for fixes from a new A/C compressor, new wheel bearings, overheating issues, leaking intake gasket, etc etc. Hieu will never tell you that you need something fixed unless it really does need to be fixed. I usually consult Yelp for everything and I'm so glad when look for auto repair I saw the reviews for MP Auto. It is hard being a woman and looking for good reasonable auto repair but if you go to MP you will not feel like you're being talked down to or into a repair you don't need. Hieu is great; like everyone said he showed me exactly how much all the parts would cost and showed me the ones he removed from my car. My issues were maintenance and I was in and out just as he promised. I'm so glad to discover MP Auto because I know have a trusted Auto Shop to take my car. Why can't every auto repair shop be like these guys? Do you experience anxiety at the thought of taking your car in for repairs or service? Do you fear that all mechanics are out to rip you off? That describes me to a T. Driving from California to Orlando, our minivan started losing oil and by the time we got to Abilene we were spewing oil at the rate of 10 miles/QT so we pushed on to Arlington where we had a baseball game to see. We figured that, like most places it would take a day or two to fix and we'd probably get ripped of like other places we'd been to in the past. We were figuring somewhere in the neighborhood of $1500. I read the reviews and these guys had one four star review and the rest five stars. Well, it's easy to have your friends write a bunch of five star reviews for you but these guys had no one, two, or three star reviews so, 20 qts later we limped in to these guys. As he had a car on the rack and was almost finished, it took him about 13 minutes to get to us. It took him 3 minutes to diagnose the problem as a leaky oil pressure sensor (he had a new one in stock). We also needed a headlight bulb replaced so he had to call in to order one. 2 hours and $100 later we were on the road. We would have been on the road sooner but he insisted on polishing up our headlight lenses. Our prayers were answered . What really sucks is that we have to go 1687 miles to get decent service. Anyone that gives these guys less that five stars is out of their mind and anything less than four stars well, that's just being a jerk. read more

2 years later, this one day I was on the toll way and this truck ran over a plastic piece and shot it through the air and me being the one with a slow reaction time and a low car avoided it too late and had it smack me right dead center into my radiator. This was a Sunday btw. They're closed. But I called my man Hieu and he sent me a tow truck ASAP and got it towed straight to the shop. Next day comes along by the time I got back to the shop. This family business is not only customer oriented but they are enthusiastic about it. They seem to have an authentic joy in what they are doing and it shows. We needed to buy a used car in a hurry to replace one that had been in an accident and totaled out. I first talked to Hieu when trying to set up a pre-purchase inspection since we had looked at vehicles in that area of the Metroplex. He told me they weren't set up to check the hybrid we were looking at and recommend I check somewhere else. I eventually found a shop where they found issues only with some steering components (tie rods, control arms) so I called MP back and Hieu said they could do that type of work. Dropped off the car on Tuesday afternoon ( shop is set back from the road, definitely use a map program to guide you the first time) and shortly afterwards they called back with an estimate, complete with part list and cost per part, and labor. The repairs were expensive, but the estimate was almost too good to be true. I gave him the ok to get started and by noon on Wednesday they told us it was done. When we got there to pick up the car they showed us the exact parts that had been replaced, pointing out the specific failure points. Then Hao (I may have spelled that wrong) showed us the new parts on the car. I have never had that done before. Car drove fantastic on the way home. I left this for last. When they learned we came from Plano, they were happily shocked. I was just as happily shocked at the service because it was one of the best I've experienced, anywhere, anytime. Their shop is 40 miles from my home and although it won't be cost and time effective for every little issue, I'll be happy to make the drive for our next major repair. read more

They were very hospitable and conversational about the whole process. I've been bringing my Honda to this repair shop since I relocated to Texas from out of state. I read the reviews and felt it would be a repair shop to check out and had my Honda serviced several times. This past time, a month ago, I had major work to be done. And the repair costs were high. The owner/manager, assured me that it was the best price and came with a warranty, since I was using their parts and labor. I was in a time crunch and decided to have them repair and replace the needed parts. They had to take off both front and rear wheels to replace the front and rear struts. I have ALWAYS had the wheel lock in the glove compartment of my Honda for the past several years since I've owned the car. I was cleaning the inside of my Honda this past Sunday and emptied the glove compartment and realized the wheel lock was missing. I checked thoroughly and realized that it was not put back in the glove compartment by the mechanic working on my Honda a month ago. I was disappointed, as I expected the mechanic at this shop to be responsible and put it back in the glove compartment after both front and rear struts where changed. I trusted them but when I went back today after work, the owner/manager brushed me off and instead of going back and check ing and asking the mechanic who worked on my car, he said Oh! we never do this. We always put it back. Btw; He was not the one working on my car and was quick to brush it off and side step the issue. I paid $1600 plus for the total repairs including labor and had one issue that I needed to check. He assured me that after a month for me to come back and he will check it out. Today I went back and he brushed me off and made excuses and would not assist me, saying he was all booked up. When I was picking up my car after paying a hefty repair bill, he was all nice and said No Problem, bring the car back after a month and he would check it out, if I needed to replace the Crankshaft seal/filter, since the dealer informed me that it was leaking. Today, after a month, as he said, I brought it back and he was not accommodating or understanding but asked me to call him and set up an appt. In the past, he has repeatedly informed me that he does not set up appts. It's first come, first serve. So I was very disappointed by his attitude and customer service. I will file a complaint and will not be coming to this repair shop anymore. This is not a review to bad mouth this shop. It is my honest assessment of the service I have received and was expecting to received, as he promised me. Plus this is the only place where the wheel lock gadget was taken out of my glove compartment but never put back. I trusted them to use it to take off the wheels to replace the front and rear struts, but the mechanic working on my Honda did not put it back and now I am in a bind. I will see on Thursday if the owner finds it and replaces the one I had, if not, then I will have to find a solution to this issue, as I cannot get my tires removed without the wheel lock gadget. read more

Honestly, there's a reason these guys have a perfect rating. As a girl looking to get some work done on her car, it's very intimidating, but Hieu made me feel so much more comfortable about trusting someone with my car. I had gotten quotes from the dealership that told me I needed 100 things done to my car, and then another place that told me I needed an additional 10 things done, so I was super afraid of what the total cost was going to be. I took my car to Hieu after reading all of these perfect reviews and after taking a look at my car he told me that I maybe only needed 3 things actually done and the cost was astronomically less than what the dealership or the other place quoted me. He then showed us the price of the parts and told us what exactly he was ordering, just that step alone was already more than many other places had ever done before. When it was time to replace parts he brought the brand new pieces out and inspected them straight out of the box with us and then showed us the old messed up parts, again, something I've never seen any mechanic do. I could not stop telling people about my experience at MP auto repair and I'm actually upset I didn't write this review sooner. This is by far the best auto repair shop I've ever been to! They have the best customer service, with a very knowledgeable and personal staff. Their prices are fair and reasonable. They're honest about what you need. They do what you ask and they don't try to sell you 10 more services lol (this is coming from a woman that has been taken advantage of at other auto repair shops). Not only was he able to get it repaired today(in less than 3 hours) , he did it for a great price. He was so friendly and his dad was so sweet to my 3 year old daughter. I won't take my car any other place now. They have always been so helpful and never take advantage of the fact that I'm a girl. I was having problems with my breaks and I took it to the dealership and they said I needed new break pads, but I decided to hold off and take it here. They looked and told me my pads were fine for at least another 6mo, so I appreciate their honesty right there! And then he ended up noticing that a bolt was lose on my axel and that's what was causing all the noise in the first place! So glad I've discovered this very honest repair place (discovered it by reading yelp reviews). Several times I've brought my car in for something that turned out to be pretty minor and they took care of the problem and then didn't charge me. That's definitely a sign that they are honest, since a car repair place could exaggerate and/or make up stories about a car needing more work than it really requires. About a year ago they changed my motor mounts for a very reasonable price. On my most recent visit I needed a new windshield wiper motor. They ordered a new one and installed it after the part arrived. Well, they found out that this aftermarket wiper motor was pretty bad quality and they were unimpressed, and they said they couldn't adjust it to where they could keep the wiper arms from coming down too far and hitting the hood. They decided to not put that motor on at all and they returned the part to the supplier. I was charged nothing for that visit. I was impressed by that. A shoddy business might have just slapped on that bad quality motor and not cared about the customer. So about a week later I returned to MP Auto Repair with a used original wiper motor I found on ebay and they installed it. The labor charges on that were, as always, very reasonable. read more
