This is for the Mr Alex Food Truck Location on Pershing Ave and March Ln. It's right across the street from Burger King on Pershing and March Ln. I just recently came across this Taco Truck maybe about a week ago. I knew of the other location on E March Ln, but I wasn't sure if they moved or of this a second truck. I didn't ask, my bad. It's pretty well shaded because the truck is parked under a big tree. So there's lots of shade for you to chillax. There's also a few chairs and a table while you wait or want to eat there. What caught my eye was the $1 tacos all meats. Back in the good ole day, that was the normal price for tacos. I miss those days, I really do. I was thinking let's get some tacos and try this place out. So, I was with my family: Brother, Youngest Daughter and my Grandson. It's been a Kool min, since I've been to a taco truck. Soni made sure I had cash money bank on me. What came to my surprise. Mr Alex's truck takes Debit/Credit, Cash app, Zelle and Apple pay. I'm feeling a bit surprised and boo boo the foo all in one. Why? Because back in the day almost 9 out of 10 food trucks only took cash. So yeah it's been a Kool minute since I've eaten at a taco truck. We decided to order 15 tacos, yeah that's right 15 so don't judge. 10 asada with no onions. 5 Pastor with everything for me. Let me tell one thing, they (Tacos) was on point . The tacos were bigger than expected as in more meat for a buck. Meat was cooked to perfection and had me wanting some more. My Fam Bam loved them and we'll definitely be back for some more. There a plate for $5, you get rice and beans and 3 tacos of your choice. That's hella better than hitting up fast food and paying over $10 bucks for a value meal. At the end of the day! Tacos were good and for $1 who's complaining? However, service was a miss and service is always a big factor when I'm eating out. The lady wasn't very nice or respectful. Then I'm waiting and as people who showed up after me are leaving already. I go to ask what's going on with my order and the lady literally looks back asks the cook and doesn't see my order turns back around and looks to the left of the reg and it's my order. Just sitting there, she forgot to give it to the cook. I waited maybe 25-30 mins for my order to not even be prepared. She then dint even admit to messing up or apologize for the wait. The ole beezer lady who works in there has no customer service and doesn't listen. I would give no stars but can't. I come here to get $1 tacos bc its cheap but their poor a$$ attitude and the inability to listen is so astounding, being a dollar doesn't even help just sucking it up because the service is that poor. Openly rolling her eyes and raising her tone if you even ask. More than once in my past orders they have not put the sauce on the side like I asked. I don't do this to be difficult. $1 taco, all day long. It's located right in front of Sticky Smoke Shop off March Ln. (near the Food 4 Less parking lot). This is like the Amazon of food truck. High volume low price (tacos only). I had the chicken tacos which were not bad. The meat was seasoned nicely. I wanted to try the asada but it was sold out and they were in the process of cooking up another batch but I didn't want to wait too long so I opted for the chicken. I have been coming here with my family WEEKLY sometimes multiple times a week since they opened. I even referred family and coworkers. Last night I ordered 4 plates of tacos and 2 burritos. My bag felt light so I checked in my car and I only felt 1 burrito ( i couldnt open the bag because it was triple knotted). I went back and asked Sonia ( i guess she's not the owner but is in charge) if there were two burritos in the bag. She handed me the burrito in a paper bag and it was wet and leaking so I asked for another plastic bag since I couldnt open the one with the rest of the food without ripping it open. Sonia tossed a plastic bag at me while saying what roughly translates to " suck my d**k" in Spanish. I said you dont have to cuss at me I come here all the time. She responds " everyone comes all the time" I said no I really come her all the time you dont have to cuss at me because you think I don't understand you. She then backpeddled and said she wasn't cussing at me. She was cussing at a lid to the salsa that supposedly dropped on the floor. Got our order and checked our bags when we got in the car then noticed they forgot to give us our sauce that we requested on the side for our tacos. Walked back up to the lady Sonia and told her about it but she was being rude and wanted to argue with us claiming that they gave it. Wow! Tacos for only $1, you can't go wrong. I enjoyed them. I ordered carne asada, cabeza and lengua with hot sauce. They also offer mild. The lady at the window was also very friendly! They were sold out of birria, chorizo and chicharron by the time I got there at 5 on a Tuesday. Noticed a long line as I was eating, so they do get busy! Definitely will come again.
