We shared a calamari appetizer...was wonderful! She had fried oysters with reg fries, my oysters were with sweet potato fries. The meals were a 20/10* if that is possible. Good news, it's still delicious if you get it to go. I got the Big Eats for just my dad and me. We brought it home, which was 25 minutes away. It was still hot when we got home. This way I could make a giant pot of rice to eat that delicious, delicious sauce. The one thing I need to buy now is seafood crackers. It was difficult to crack the crab legs, but not impossible. I love the mussels and clams. We got the Mr. and Mrs. Crab Sauce again with no spice and it is perfect. They gave us the wet wipes and the gloves, but no bibs. I may have to order myself adult bibs. If you love a low country boil- and the best that a restaurant would offer within this arena - here it is. This place is the definition of "what I crave when I crave it! My mouth waters as I type this! Ahahahaha Mr. and Mrs. Crab is excellent on every level! The seafood is fresh. The food is delicious. The service is great. The drinks are great. The experience is amazingly wonderful especially to share with friends and family. It's just an all-around fab place! Now is it a chain? Yep- not a big one, but it is. Based here in Florida. That said- unless you do it yourself where else can you experience a Louisiana Style Boil? Usually I order the shrimp and sausage boil which comes with potatoes and corn. I sometimes throw a boiled egg in for good measure and usually don't go super spicy with the level of heat and choose Mr. and Mrs. Crab special seasoning- mild. The spicy is really spicy and they warn you (they aren't joking either). The fried pickles and coconut shrimp as starters are always a winner. Plus the chicken tenders are really tasty too! Be prepared to get a little messy even though they provide all of the accoutrement necessary to avoid a huge mess- but it's oh so fun and oh so delicious. My husband usually does the Blue or Green muscles and snow crab. They also have a full bar too- a Blue Moon pairs well with the meals! We literally have never had an unpleasant experience. We go with a group of friends as it's "our thing" I just text the group a and the next thing you know we are all jumping in our cars- mouths watering to partake of the goodness that is Mr. and Mrs. Crab! I chose the peach drink, and we ordered calamari as the appetizer--both were excellent! However, our experience took a downturn after we finished our appetizer. Despite the restaurant being largely empty, the host seated a party of 12, half of whom were children, right next to us. Their presence significantly impacted our dining experience. The kids were knocking decorations off the wall, and the parents were loudly reprimanding them in front of everyone. On a positive note, the seafood boil was very good. We ordered the number 3 and 4 options (blue crab and snow crab). My only critique is that the sausage pieces were cut too thin, less than a quarter-inch in width. My belly was unnaturally full after eating here. Like Thanksgiving day full. Loved the food and the service. When you walk in it has your typical beach seafood restaurant vibes. I really got my boil and went to TOWN. I dug in so fast that I forgot to get a picture of my own food so a waitress and a kind patron let me take a pic of hers (we all had a great laugh about it). A picture of mine would have just showcased how greedy I am by how I tore that food up! They have different spice levels and seasonings available and you can pick your meat and add one. I ordered the snow crab legs in Cajun and medium. It wasn't that hot. I asked for some HOT on the side and it had good heat so next time I'll get hot for my whole boil. I will say, take your time with the menu! I got the crab fam classic (a combo) so it already came with shrimp sausage corn and potatoes and the snow crab legs I wanted. It was a LOT of food. If I wasn't flying out the next day I would be eating on that for a few days. I had leftovers but couldn't take them because of my own poor planning (sad!!). So alternatively I could have ordered a boil with just snow crab legs either half pound or a lb but then all the add ons (eggs, sausage, corn etc) would start to add up." So that's why I chose the combo. Like I said, take your time with the menu. One of the ladies in my group really wanted lobster and they did have lobster tails but they looked small. I had the shrimp mussels and sausage mild and my wife had crab legs shrimp and sausage. The seasoning was perfect but definitely spicy. We ordered 2lbs of the Snow Crab Legs, 1/2lb sausage, 1/2lb green mussels, 1/2lb calamari, 6 wings with 2 sides. I only tried the crab legs and wings and I must say the flavor in the crab legs was amazing. The season we picked was the garlic butter and spice level we picked was medium. It did require some work on my end to get the meat out of the crab leg which I guess was more of a challenge than I thought it would be.
