Had the best time at Mr. & Mrs. Crab! I went with a friend and we had such a great time. I always get the blue crab bag with potato, sausage, and corn, and it is SO good every single time--full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. The drinks are yummy too and really add to the experience. Fun, lively ambiance and super friendly staff. Perfect spot to hang out with friends and enjoy amazing food. Highly recommend!

Fire!!!! This place was so much better than I expected!! The food was flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The service was great and friendly. And the restaurant was definitely a vibe and had great drink options. The oysters were probably my favorite. And you definitely get your money's worth

The food here was delicious! We got raw oysters to start, a boil with crawfish, blue and green muscles, scallops, crab, lobster tail, and shrimp. Everything was seasoned well and not too salty! The drinks were also delicious. The staff was very friendly and quick. The restaurant had a very nice, cozy vibe and was very clean. I would love to come back when we're in town.

Got seated immediately upon arriving...no wait, restaurant not busy for a Saturday night at 7pm.... Sat at the table for a good 5 minutes with no one acknowledging us....husband decided to start his timer on his phone to see how much longer we needed to wait just for a server to come to our table ..... after 9 more minutes, I got up and told my husband we are leaving .... Very disappointing.....there were 2-3 waitresses chatting with each other , host kept coming to the tables to rearrange the menus on the tables ....bus boys were sweeping up the floor...not once did we even get "someone will be right with you"... You're Done Mr & Mrs Crab ..... thanks for making us feel invisible. Didn't even deserve the one star I had to rate it....

An average crab boil place with the usual pricing. A little disappointed in the size and quality of crab but tends to be the norm nowadays unfortunately.

Good news, it's still delicious if you get it to go. I got the Big Eats for just my dad and me. We brought it home, which was 25 minutes away. It was still hot when we got home. This way I could make a giant pot of rice to eat that delicious, delicious sauce. The one thing I need to buy now is seafood crackers. It was difficult to crack the crab legs, but not impossible. I love the mussels and clams. We got the Mr. and Mrs. Crab Sauce again with no spice and it is perfect. They gave us the wet wipes and the gloves, but no bibs. I may have to order myself adult bibs. I think seafood boil is a unique meal so I will definitely continue to get this for anyone who visits. It is messy, but so worth it.

Loved the experience we had. Always passed by this place and never tried it until this past week. Had calamari, fish & chips and a seafood boil (crawfish and mussels) So good! Our server was Breanna and she was the best!

This was our second seafood boil craving this week, but instead of going to our usual spot, we decided to try a new location -- and we're so glad we did! We think we've found our favorite Mr. and Mrs. Crab location, and honestly, it's the cutest too. Inside, all their restaurants have a similar festive vibe, with plenty of decorations and holiday spirit, but the outside of this one feels different. It's styled like a little home, which really added to the whole experience. In the past, whenever we've ordered, something always seems to go missing, whether it's a potato, corn, or that must-have kielbasa. This time, though, everything came out exactly right! Service was quick, and the crab? Absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be coming back -- and specifically to this location!

I've been here several occasions for dinner and really enjoy their fried scallops and crawfish. Service is good and very spacious and the restaurant is very clean. they do take reservations! My family comes here & I definitely would recommend. Honestly, my personal favor is the fried scallops and calamari. We normally do spicy Mr. Mrs. Crab sauce.

I love this place. I never want to go to another crab broil again because the way they do It? My favorite. The flavor? Unmatched.

The host greeted us warmly and seated us promptly in a secluded area of the restaurant. A waiter quickly took our drink and appetizer order. I chose the peach drink, and we ordered calamari as the appetizer--both were excellent! However, our experience took a downturn after we finished our appetizer. Despite the restaurant being largely empty, the host seated a party of 12, half of whom were children, right next to us. Their presence significantly impacted our dining experience. The kids were knocking decorations off the wall, and the parents were loudly reprimanding them in front of everyone. On a positive note, the seafood boil was very good. We ordered the number 3 and 4 options (blue crab and snow crab). My only critique is that the sausage pieces were cut too thin, less than a quarter-inch in width. Between the two, we preferred the snow crab.

So many nautical nods in the decor-rustic coastal-in sort of an 80s/90s way (love). You can almost taste salt in the air-you expect the Gorton's fisherman to walk in. Yes, I could settle in here for a while. And I did. There are chalkboard drink choices on the walls-and a large menu. Happy hour and daily specials add to the options. I asked my friendly and helpful server to help me choose. She was spot on. The onion rings basket was a thing of true beauty. That batter is incredible-so light, so melts-in-mouth good. I'd go back for them alone. (and to try the hush puppies and fried green tomatoes) But then came the main event: a gorgeous piece of fried haddock that hung wayyyy off the bun on both sides-and loads of tasty fries. I swapped out coleslaw for green beans. What a feast! This is a lot of food! And every bit of it was really tasty. The haddock was huge-and so well cooked. It was tender-flaky-with another light batter, that complimented the fish perfectly. I ditched the bun and ate it with a knife and fork. It was just yummy. The fries had a good crunch to them and the bowl of green beans was deep. This is a massive value for money! Oh! And the margarita was good, too! A little tangy-I like that! (There's a full bar area, if you care to belly up) My sweet server was easy to talk to and super efficient. She knows the menu inside and out-and reads her customers well and early. The restaurant was cozy and comfy-it's a casual spot, but well tended and very clean. You really do forget that the busy world is right outside the door. There's tons of parking, but beware on super rainy days-there are low spots in that lot. The water came up fast while I was there and another server warned us to check our vehicles and move them, if needed. I decided to make a dash for it-so didn't get all the pics I wanted-but that's just another reason (along with the scrod and the mahi taco, etc etc) to go back. The Great Catch is a great choice. You can trust the Gorton's fisherman!

The appetizers were calamari, meatballs, goat cheese baklava, and a broccolini flatbread. I have to say these were all the least favorite plates for me. I couldn't eat the meatballs because I don't eat pork, but my husband said they were delicious. Others said the honey goat cheese baklava was one of the best things they have eaten. The calamari doesn't have tentacles, which is actually my favorite part. I thought it was good, not great. And I would skip the flatbread. It was just a regular flatbread to me. Then they brought out a Caesar salad. It's a wedge Caesar salad and it is absolutely delicious. I loved it, but it does have anchovies if you are not an anchovy person. This is a get every time salad for me. For the Mains, we got sides of mushroom, sides of mac & cheese, sides of brussels sprouts, the ribeye, Cacio E Pepe, Sicilian chicken, grouper piccata, and mafaldine basil pesto. My favorite was the Cacio E Pepe. They said the noodles were made in house and they definitely taste that way. They are thick and al dente and absolutely divine. The ribeye is fatty so if you like fat meat, this is for you. The mashed potatoes were also delicious that came with it. My husband really liked the Brussel sprouts, they were pretty good. I loved the mushrooms and would get it again. Neither of us were a huge fan of the mac & cheese. I thought all of the chicken was OK. I also like the grouper. But honestly, if I came back, I would go straight for that pasta. Then for dessert, we had the salted chocolate chunk cookies, which were amazing. They do cookies very, very well. We also had the crème brûlée which was OK and the sacred Sunday, which comes with vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream and pistachio ice cream. It was good, but honestly, my favorite was the cookies. There was also a wine pairing with each course. I'm not a huge wine person, but it did end up being a lot of wine. Overall, we had a fantastic time here, I love the decor of this place, you will not look out of place dressed up. It is an older crowd since we are in the heart of Carrollwood, but I would definitely come back.

You are looking at spending at least $98 for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, no matter which restaurant you go to - it seems like the market does a good job at leveling the pricing competition between these restaurants. Crafty Crab is located essentially smack-dab in the center of Grand Plaza of the Carrollwood area. Although we didn't have issues with finding parking around 6-7pm on a Tuesday evening, the plaza can get quite busy with one row of parking on each side of a two-way lane that parallels the plaza. As we walked into Crafty Crab, it did have a cleaner feel and presentation compared to another local boil spot. Our waiter/server was great and extremely patient with us as we contemplated our choices. He continued with the positive energy throughout the service which made our experience at Crafty Crab rather nice. ***Not sure if it was standard practice, but he offered to empty the boil bag onto the aluminum tray (compared to leaving it in the bag) as an option which made navigating the morsels easier in my opinion. It also made for saucing the steam rice easier - just slap that jawn onto the tray, mix, and enjoy.*** What I enjoyed about Crafty Crab, is that they seem to offer better combinations when it came to the seafood deals. Dungeness crab is our staple, and they had a great combo that pair Dungeness crab with snow crab and headless shrimp. The fried calamari came with not only marinara, but also a spicy-mayo-wasabi sauce that slapped. Overall, you can't go wrong with Crafty Crab if you're looking for your Cajun boil fix!
