Iron Man omelette with gorgeous avocado.
    Cheryl F.

First time here and I already feel like I should have a loyalty punch card. Rolled in around noon on a Friday, and was seated almost immediately. I ordered the Iron Man omelette from the "Lighter Side" section, which sounds modest but clearly has superhero-level powers. Moments later, a glorious cloud of fluffy egg whites loaded with veggies landed in front of me like a gift from heaven. Now let's talk about the true headliner: the half avocado atop the omelette. Not the sad, rock-hard "maybe it'll ripen by Thursday" kind. This was an award-winning avocado performance. Perfectly ripe, green, and flavorful. The most perfect piece of produce ever produced. And then...strawberries, watermelon, and other tasty fresh fruit on the side. In February. In the Midwest. I don't know what kind of agricultural wizardry is happening back there in the kitchen, but I support it. As if that weren't enough, the waitress noticed my deep emotional commitment to hot sauce and brought me not one but TWO Cholula flavors. That's not just service. That's the kind of service that brings a tear to my eye. I was too overwhelmed with happiness to take photos, but let me just say it was an amazing lunch. Honestly, I may order this exact meal for my next ten visits because why mess with perfection? Outside of my ideal meal documented here, the breakfast+lunch menu is extensive, the daily soup rotation is strong, and everything about this place screams "small town gem." Came for lunch. Left emotionally attached to an avocado. 10/10.

Mr A's is a very unassuming restaurant! My cousins and I wanted to give it a try and I will say it was a very good experience. The food was the best part of the experience. I felt the quality was very good compared to other places. I could sense they took passion in the dishes. I would say give Mr A's a try!

    Special: Blueberry French Toast Special

Mr. A's is a family run restaurant in Roselle that acts as the neighborhood diner. I've been here many of times and the food as well as prices never disappoints me. As busy as the parking lot looks, I've never had to wait longer than 15 min for a table. The staff hustles but never rushes you out the door. On top of all that, you will often see Mr. A himself working alongside staff which I personally love. This time visiting, I got the Biscuits and Gravy. These come loaded with gravy which is nicely peppered and has good sized meat crumbles within. My partner got the Blueberry French Toast special which he said was a delicious treat without being overly sweet. Overall, Mr. A's is a great value driven spot. Their menu has a large variety of options so no one can go hungry!

Located in Roselle across from the train station,Mr A's serves breakfast and lunch all day. Known for their ham, portions are huge and prices are great . Service was very good and the meals were prepared fresh and served hot. Huge menu. Had the Eye Opener Special #1 with 3 eggs, huge slice of grilled ham and American fries with toast. A side of pancakes instead of toast was also an option. They offer skillets, griddle items, breakfast sandwiches, omelettes,Benedicts and eggceptional combos. Noticed many regulars which is always a good sign. Open 7 days a week from 6am to 230pm. Will definately go back maybe for lunch

Well this was recommended and since I work along the way to Streamwood, I decided to eat breakfast here in Roselle. Anyways the service was very quick and friendly and I addressed how this is my first time coming here because it was recommended by my childhood babysitters son in regards to the cost and how much breakfast food you get. I went for the number 2 which was three pancakes three eggs and I went for sausage links. They are known for their ham but I'm not a big fan of ham. Maybe I'll try it one day when I come back. Ambience was your usual homely breakfast place. Price wise it was under $14 per entree breakfast wise. I would probably come back for the French toast and some of their pancakes that either have banana split on the menu which I thought was unusual they put ice cream I don't know? Anyways, when in Roselle and you have the leisurely time please stop by here. Just do it before 2:30 pm because they close early in the afternoon. They just serve breakfast and early lunch at this restaurant

The French Silk Pie they have on occasion but not always, call ahead.

Everyone who works there is fantastic to be around, from the people when you first walk in to the Servers who help you. I forget his name but the guy who helps clean is fantastic. I'm actually about to go over and have some breakfast and hope Diana is working today. You won't go wrong there

Do not come here for any holiday. we came on Mother's Day. We waited 20 minutes for a table, which is reasonable but then we ordered our food and waited 1 1/2 hours to be served. While waiting I realized they spent almost 1 entire hour just doing carry out orders and left most of the entire restaurant waiting for them to even start cooking food for all their customers sitting waiting for their food. I wouldn't come back if it as the only restaurant left in the state.

    The #1: ham and eggs
    Bill G.

I have eaten here four times in the last two weeks, so I obviously enjoy it. I had a breakfast burrito once. It was good, but their #1 eggs with ham was my choice the other times. It is hard to beat. The ham slab is the star of the show. It's quite large and delicious. I haven't gotten here for lunch yet, but a friend of mine swears by the split pea soup - again the ham shines through. They even have a sign on the door letting you know that you can buy just the slabs of ham. There must be a story there about where they get these hams. The service is among the best anywhere. Parking is easy. The dining area is roomy and clean.

    Kayana. Very good.

Excellent service. Excellent food. Clean and inviting atmosphere. We were promptly greeted and seated. They accommodated our request for a particular table with no fanfare. The waitress was friendly, quick and accommodating. The bussing service was also of note as it was far above what I've experienced in the past few years. Everyone's food was great and portions are generous. Coffee was solid (although I like a bit bolder roast). The management and the whole team here should know they are firing on all cylinders and it shows. Definitely a solid pick. I will be back.

This is a neighborhood gem in Roselle whose management and staff are friendly and take good care of their customers. The portions are large with lots of comfort food to fill your belly on a cold day. I told the waitress that I was gluten free and she said that almost all the items on the menu could be made gluten free. I had two perfectly poached eggs with a nice assortment of fresh fruit and cottage cheese. I ordered gluten free toast but they were out so they offered gluten free pancakes instead. The GF pancakes were deliciously light and fluffy. She told me that they had someone run out to buy GF bread which is above and beyond. Proof that this is a business worth supporting. We will be back.

I love that there are unique Southern dishes like chicken and waffles, Southern fried chicken, and shrimp and grits. The coffee is hot, strong and accompanied by cute little baskets with individual creamers. The pancakes are super fluffy and served with a warm bottle of syrup. The frappe was also really good. My friend ordered the avocado toast, which she liked, but her caramel macchiato was off at first it tasted mostly like milk with a little caramel. They did fix it though, so I'll give them credit for that. Only downside was she ended up feeling like she got food poisoning afterward. The egg on her dish had a thin film on it, so we're thinking it might not have been fully cooked, which is concerning. Service itself was good and the staff was nice. Parking was also easy, which is always a plus. Good food overall, but that situation definitely threw things off a bit.

I was seated pretty quickly and given a menu and ordered my standard unleaded coffee - decaf for those of you in the know. The ambience of the place was pretty good - very modern- very nice and it looked like it was very well-maintained. Always a good thing! To be honest? The only demerit was the waitress. Oh, she was good as a waitress, but she was not warm or welcoming - it seemed like she was just going through the motions, albeit professionally. It kind of makes a difference to me, you know? I decided to order a build your own omelette - I got turkey, sausage, turkey, bacon, and green peppers. In addition, I ordered a side of French toast and decided to try the hashbrowns because they look like they were housemade and not frozen. After a short bit of time, the food came out and oh my God! The portions were huge. I ate the French toast first but the only thing I noticed was the syrup was room temperature and not warmed up - not exactly a dealbreaker for me, but it would've pushed them over the top. The hashbrowns? Excellent! I put some hot sauce on the omelette and ate it all up - lickety split! So - would I come back? Probably. But I would hope for a different waitress is all. But I will say this - any breakfast joint that starts getting busy the very moment they open up at 7 AM on Sunday morning? Must be doing something right!

Ok, I was the first customer for the day (Yes, I wake up early!). I was seated, ordered a decaf coffee (sorry; had to go unleaded for health reasons, darn it). I reviewed the menu and - well - tried to find a comfy seating position on the upholstered booth table I was seated at. I'm sorry, but the springs on this thing had sprung, and there wasn't a comfy spot to be found. Ok. So there was that..... I liked the style of the place- but what in the world was with the 5,000 kelvin can lights in the ceiling? Folks, I want warm and comfy lighting - no more than 3500 Kelvin is what you had elsewhere in the restaurant. The 5,000 kelvin was just way, way too harsh. For shame. Pull out the "daylight" and put in a soft/warm kelvin bulb please! Hurts my eyes. Ok- the food. I ordered a 2-egg breakfast; subbed the hashies for rye toast, chose the sausage option, and upped the order to include two crepes with lingonberry sauce (always a sucker for lingonberry sauce, you know?). I was told the food would take a bit longer due to the crepes - didn't matter to me, really; couldn't be a huge delays could it? Naw, it wasn't. The food came out- ok, then! Let's check it out - the scrambled eggs and sausage were perfectly acceptable. The toast was not buttered (NO!) but was right outta the toaster- and man, that counted! As I started munchin' away, I noted the crepes seemed- well- a bit well done? Well, yeah. Like, on one crepe? The end of the crepe was hard and almost- but not quite- burnt. Yikes. I still ate it. It was relatively good, sure. But who over-cooks crepes? Can't say it was fantastic. Now, I don't have anything bad to say about the server- she was super nice and awesome! But fix up the seating/lights, please, as well as the crepes? You'll be in "5" territory in no time!
