Though I love birria, there is a glorious video of their surf and turf quesadilla on Facebook, which lured me to visit recently. I got it with the crema, guac, pico etc... on the side; just a quesadilla with proteins and cheese. It was savory and delicious all alone doing the video justice; succulent shrimp, tasty tender Carne, gooey cheese...bam! The place is large but not much for ambience as it's all about the food. I'll eventually get to the Birria, but this quesadilla is my main squeeze for now.

Wow, I cannot believe how much this place has improved since the last time I was here. The customer service is outstanding. The two young ladies running the counter are friendly , helpful and hard working. The Birria is tender , well seasoned and a fair price. I also really enjoyed the consommé. Such a great flavor and not too spicy. Their salsa bar is one of a kind . Filled with three salsa options, limes, radishes, and jalapeños. I really enjoy their salsas . I really like that in addition to their many Birria options they also have fish and carne asada dishes in case you are craving something else . The dining room is really cute and very clean. This was a very easy five star review to write.

Some of the best birria in the game!! the breakfast burrito is elite with so much flavor, the chilaquiles is extremely fresh, the rojo sauce is bomb, the birria ramen was so good it brought a tear to my eye, and the aguas frescas are a must. It's been a long time since we have visited Mr. Birria. I called in the order this time so the pictures don't quite do the food justice but it was so good! My husband had the Queso Birria Tacos extra crispy (dorado in Spanish) they were awesome! So much birria and flavor. I had the 1/2 order of birria stew with flour tortillas. The consommé was so flavorful and full of birria. There were lots of onions, cilantro, and limes to enhance the flavor. The updates they have made since the last time we were there are great. They opened up the restaurant, it's at least double in size and has quite a bit more seating. There is a great self service salsa bar with lots of tasty salsas, chili oil, and toppings. They also have several options for Agua Frescas. As always the service was great and with a smile. We will definitely be back soon!

This is such a good spot for tacos. I got their taco box and each taco was filled with meat it was perfection. I ordered the nachos as well and they didn't disappoint. This will be a place I take my friends when they visit, it's that good! The service is great and the food came out fast. There's plenty of seating and parking so dining here is a breeze. 10/10

Haven't been here in a while and forgot how good they are! They've added a lot more to the menu since I last came. I was impressed with their prices!!! A birria ramen and quesatacos (2) combo is currently $15. That's a deal! I also recommend the taco box that comes with 4 different proteins. Super delicious! And the aguas frescas are so refreshing.

If you're even thinking about tacos, stop what you're doing and go to Mr. Birria Place. This spot is seriously on another level. The birria is rich, juicy, and packed with flavor--perfectly seasoned and slow-cooked until it practically melts. And those tacos? Crispy on the outside, loaded on the inside, and dunked in that consommé... unreal. Speaking of the consommé, it's hands down one of the best parts. Deep, savory, and comforting--every dip just takes the whole experience up a notch. You can tell everything is made with care and real attention to flavor.

Mr. Beria as of now probably have the closest flavor to authentic TJ birria. The birria it's great, tacos are tasty if they were only a little bigger. They do need to change the flour tortillas... they are good but if they get another brand of flour tortillas they would taste a lot better but I gotta say in the whole area is probably best place for birria tacos, birria soup and affordability. Saw this spot on the Marvelous Food Munchers page on Instagram, told my girls about it... they had already been!!! They were keeping this place a secret, oooh man! We ordered today for taco Tuesday and WOW! We had the Birria tacos with consomé and my mouth is still watering! Finally a spot close to home where we can get a good quality taco. The flavors were on ping, the tortillas were amazing and the meat was JUICY!!! Can't wait to come back! Oh and if you like spicy, make sure to use the Chile de árbol! A lol goes a long way with the consomé! Delicious!!! read more

The grilled cheese Birria is soooo good but DO NOT get the fish tacos Absolutely no flavor whatsoever I even told the girl with the two diamond stud earrings on her cheeks that I will be putting this on Instagram and she was not friendly at all very sour not like the other girls that work there which are very nice but she didn't give two sh--'s about what I said nevertheless the food was good but not worth the money! The Birria was okay, the service was okay, and the Michelada was okay. I ordered two orders of birria ( they said it feeds 2 ppl) and like 5 tacos. I asked for extra hot sauce and the girl said I could only have one more. I think I was able to get maybe 4 sauces for my entire order. Also I paid for an extra consomé, and didn't get it, even after she checked my order. read more

I have only tried Mr. Birria once. I had the Birria tacos and rolled tacos. I found the Birria lacking flavor. It seemed more like shredded beef in a flavorless broth. It's on the pricey side which wouldn't be bad if the servings were larger. I will give it another try to really inform my opinion. read more

This place is AMAZING! Before today I only got consume when we would go down to Revolucion in CV. I'm so glad I'll be able to get it more often now. Not to mention the tacos and mulitas! I love my birria and this place is it! They have a combo where you get a little bit of everything, which is great if it's your first time. Honestly I could just eat the consume with the meat and I'm good. read more

I was looking for a true Mexican restaurant to have lunch and found this close to my house. I went there and I order the trio plate, I asked if I can change something from the plate the lady at the register said no substitutions. I ordered 3 tacos and one consome. The food was ok little be on greasy but it's Birria and is suppose to be little greasy. The customer service was not really good, there were tables dirty, I didn't see no body sanitizing the tables. This is a new place that just open last year and needs customer service, cleanliness. read more

The food here was spectacular! We were in the area running an errand (we live in Hillcrest), and based on Yelp reviews decided to get some food to go. We each got the Trio Combo, we got one bone marrow to share, and we got 2 Micheladas. Everything was amazing- we should have ordered (AT LEAST!) two bone marrows- what a delicacy! The Chile de Aceite is the real deal- smoky and with a nice kick, and the consome' was a perfect accompaniment. To top it off, service was excellent (and for us, it was *fast*- 10 minutes!) and friendly. We will go again even though it's 20 minutes away. It's *definitely* worth the trip. read more

This place is fire. The quesatacos are incredible, and make sure you get a side of the consommé, the meat is so tender and juicy with the perfect amount of salty melted Oaxaca cheese. And they double up the tortilla because they know this is a messy delightful meal, and one tortilla just isn't enough structure for these beauties. If you like it hot, be sure to get the chili oil salsa, it's spicy but soooooo flavorful and compliments the tacos complexity! All in all the foods amazing and the service is incredible! 0 for 2 on orders from here for me. Both times had simple mistakes that when brought to the attention of the staff got no offer of being fixed. A sorry and a shrug won't keep customers when you make mistakes. Food tastes good, want to like it, but when my food is wasted there's no point in going back. read more

Came here for the first time a few days ago and came back again in the same week. The staff is friendly and the food is bomb. They were busy and my order came out faster than expected. I ordered the bone marrow, one of my favorite foods that is super rare to find anywhere and it was awesome! The prices are also great. I'm super grateful to finally have a Birria place nearby. I used to drive all the way to South Bay or Tijuana to get good Birria, now it's right down the street from my house. Dope spot! read more

They have a few seats inside but majority is outside but everything is served to-go style so I enjoy mostly from home after picking up an order. So worth it!

I revealed to them the place was called "Bad Hombres" located in Santee so they would know in the future where to go. This is one of my favorite taco places to go. Everything tastes homemade like you are in someone's home being cooked for. This taco shop is always crowded because they put so much love and passion into the food. Next time you crave homemade Mexican food, you must try "Bad Hombres" in Santee, California because they are formidable!

I enjoyed a very tasty Mexican Lager (La Bamba). Becky begrudgingly enjoyed one as well. She no longer drinks beer. She lost nearly 50 pounds by switching to low carb, low calorie seltzers a few years ago. That was our only disappointment, no seltzers. Not even in cans in the cooler. If we ever return, she'll have to bring her own. Sunny Grove does not have a kitchen, but they do host a different food truck or pop-up nearly every day. Tacos were done in a style that reminded me of how my wife makes them. But I thought it strange that Yelp described the restaurant as serving Sonoran style food yet what I was tasting was more Sinaloan style food. I asked the waitress and she told me that indeed the owners are from Culiacan, Sinaloa and the menu is a combination of both Sonoran and Sinaloan dishes. In any case, the tacos dorados were delicious... freshly made with lots of delicious toppings like pickled red onions, radish slices, cucumber, lettuce, crema, and cotija cheese. No sight of sloppy red sauces or melted jack cheese that permeate run of the mill "Mexican" food restaurants in the area. This place is serving authentic Mexican food... well, the dish I tried was for sure... this just means that I will have to go back to try additional items... but for now, I highly recommend this place. We've really enjoyed coming in, especially on weekends with the family. The only reason he says he won't come back is because there's no malt vinegar available. He mentioned that most fish and chip shops usually offer it, and for him it's part of the full experience. I even offered to bring our own, but he's still pretty set on it. Just wanted to pass along the suggestion because we genuinely love the food and would love to keep bringing the whole family in. Hopefully malt vinegar is something the shop might consider adding!

They said they knew slice was messed up tonight and they didn't have an answer. A good business would take the order, fulfill it, then get their money back from slice. You don't put the burden back on your customer because the software you use is messed up. Won't be coming back.

The wait for food was only 10-15 minutes after ordering and everything came out piping hot. After receiving our food we in their outdoor dining area. Something about birria ramen in this nice cold weather was very romantic. Our ramen had chunks of meat and dipping my birria grilled cheese into the consommé ended up having my eyes roll back a bit. It was heavenly. I was looking forward to their bone marrow, but preferred just the quesa birria tacos over them! I went to this place for the first time cause I've herd a few good things about it I even called my order in advance and was told by the girl on phone that it will be ready in 15 min so when I arrive to the place to pay for my order I had to order again like if the girl didn't take my order over the phone smh so I did assuming good things well long story short my friends 45 min passed and I'm still waiting so I asked for my money back. So sad to say I wasn't able to try there food so in my opinion if you have a hour to wait go for it but I wouldn't recommend this place for a lunch brake. The wait was 15 minutes plus the birria came out cold?? The employees were very rude and everything was really overpriced. They give you not much birria for $14 and it was all fat. I wouldn't recommend it. I don't feel good after trying it. Never coming back again read more
