The service is fast - I've always ordered online/doordash/uber eats and picked up. The ambience is ok, it is better suited to be a pick up place. Spice level was very rough when they opened the restaurant few years ago but it is decent these days. Place gets busy even for takeout but their ordering via browser is good. Nethi Mamsam roast biryani is my MVP. Boneless goat pieces roasted in ghee on top of biryani is awesome. Tried numerous times and taste s amazing Special Paneer Biryani is decent Ulavacharu Bajji Biryani is another MVP. Very unique bajji in ulavacharu which is horsegram and s amazing n spicy Kaju Soya Biryani was ok on mild side Chicken fry piece biryani is very good Rambo chicken biryani was okish. We ordered three biriyanis - ulava charu bajji biriyani - chilli gobi biriyani - gutti vankaya biriyani The first two are absolutely delicious , no regrets whatsoever. I have been a regular customer to this restaurant over the last 3 years, visiting 3-4 times a month. Paneer/Veg biryani are my favs here, though I eat chicken. What made me give 1 star and decide to never visit it again? I got bones a couple of times in veggie biryani or paneer biryani.. but I was kind of ok with it because I eat chicken. The biryani here out-stands with the other biryani places, I strongly believe that biryani has this unique taste when dum (slow cooking on fire with covering the lid with dough from the sides, not allowing the air to pass in) is added. Although the rice is dum cooked, but the nonveg or veg is added lately to the rice. The taste defines the biryani with or without the meat. We ordered Gongura Paneer, Goat dum biryani and Fried chicken biryani. The best one is Goat biryani, we just loved the quality of the food that they have for this specific dish. I really wanted to like this place. The butter chicken was so greasy and the chicken was mushy and a very weird texture. Roti is mediocre. The samosa filling was dried out and shrunk as if it was old or sitting for too long in a freezer. This is absolutely Indian Fast food and not quality. read more

We ordered a bunch of biriyani options over two weeks. Some of the ones we tried were gongura paneer, kaju soya and chilli gobi and cut mirchi. The biriyani comes with a raita and some sort of gravy. Overall- great value for money in terms of size of portion, two people can eat two biriyani orders over 2.5 meals. A bit of a pain to mix given the sauces are at the bottom. They also seem to get better the next day. Gongura paneer biriyani- the gongura sauce was amazing but the paneer was pretty hard. Kaju Soya- something a little different. Not my favourite but an interesting taste. The soya was pretty tender. Chilli gobi- was awesome the first time I had it, the cauliflower was super crispy but tender. It was pretty average the second time, not as crisp and the taste was a little more muted. Overall, decent value for money. read more

This place is my favorite for Biryani. I've tried almost all the Biryani places in the bay area and I should say, this is my only Biryani place right now that I go to without any second thoughts. I'm a Hyderabadi vegetarian and I love how big their veggie Biryani menu is. Not every place that initiated 'hat ke' Biryanis got successful. But Mr. Biryani not only initiated variety of Biryanis but also consistently makes every Biryani to taste the same. Love this restaurant. My favorites are Gobi 65, Ulavacharu bajji biryani and chilli egg biryani. One complaint though, they never have the masala vada. I always scroll through doordash and Mr. Biryani catches my eye every time. My boyfriend and I decided to order the special boneless chicken biryani. First off, I appreciate the huge portion that they give for the price (I was able to make my portion into 2 meals!). I do wish that the ratio of chicken to rice was more equal since I did end up with a lot of rice left at the end. I would probably ask for extra onions too next time since they only gave a few. The chicken itself was very juicy and flavorful and went so well with the rice. I also really loved the yogurt sauce, I could totally drink it all! I had heard some recommendations of this place so I decided to pickup an appetizer of chili paneer and an entree of special paneer Biryani. In my honest opinion I felt the management must have been very greedy tonight. While the Yelp mentions the closing time as 9:30 pm they were still taking orders at 9:25 pm even though they had run out of rice. When I placed order at 8:55 pm I was told they ran out of rice so making some more. After 40 mins when my order was ready nothing was special about paneer Biryani. I was rather more disappointed that the staff didn't even care to hide their cheating. The literally just served quarter portion of chili paneer on white rice as SPECIAL PANEER BIRYANI. No other spice. No other flavor. It should rather be served as white rice with chili paneer cubes. Though paneer chili was good but in future if I even unwillingly end up here I'll just get chili paneer and cook the rice myself. read more
