I haven't actually dined in at the restaurant, so this review is solely for the pani puri station outside. A friend introduced me to this place, and I'm SO glad she did! I absolutely LOVE the idea of having a pani puri station outside, and the fact that it's open so late at night is just the icing on the cake. I've been here a few times now, and the pani puri has always been so good. The two people I've seen serving the puris are usually really friendly, and I love that they wait until you finish each round so you never feel rushed :P I've also noticed they have a live dosa station next to the pani puri. Absolutely disgusting experience. I ordered the Vijayawada Paneer Biryani through DoorDash, and the paneer had a strong, foul smell as it had gone bad. The food was completely inedible and went straight in the trash. Serving food that smells spoiled is unacceptable. I would not order from this place again. read more

This was our first time at this restaurant, and we had read so many good reviews about their live panipuri and live dosa. They sell six pieces for around $7.99, I believe. When we noticed that they were serving the panipuri with warm dal, we were both surprised and curious about how it would taste. They also give you sides of chopped coriander, onion, carrots and multiple sauces to customize your flavor. When our turn finally came, I tried it a bit reluctantly... and my goodness, it was absolutely delicious. The puri itself was crisp, and the combination of warm dal, spicy pani inside the golgappa (that's what we call it) was mind-blowing. Suddenly the long line made perfect sense. Great spot serving Hyderabad and Vijayawada biryanis and south and north Indian food (they do have other Biryanis, but that is what they are known for). It's the BEST Hyderabad Biryani in the bay area. Best Biryani place period to my man in all of the bay, better than anywhere in the city and peninsula. It's the #1 thing he craves in Milpitas. Our favorite Hyderabad Biryani place shut down - I think they operated in a ghost kitchen - had their own app/website - it was great and then one day POOF.. maybe because of the pandemic, etc.. and I was hunting and hunting.. then we found this. This was the most comparable when it came down to these components: flavorful, intensity, quality, spicy, and of being of the 'same type'. We've never eaten in yet, but always ordering this for pick-up or etc. They no longer have their Manchurian Baby Corn on their doordash menu - but if it's at the restaurant, totally recommend. Biryaniz is a restaurant in Milpitas, and has a live benne dosa corner. It has plenty of lot parking in the front and is located near other Asian dessert places. You order inside and stand in the line outside to wait for your dosa. We went on a Friday night and waited 10 minutes in line and 20 minutes for our dosas. There are also a few tables inside, but this place is mostly takeout for biryanis or people stand outside and eat their dosas. The decorations inside are nice but there's a few flies that can bug you. We ordered the onion dosa, Bangalore masala dosa, gunta punugulu, ghee karam dosa, and egg dosa. The benne dosas in general are thicker and closer to uttapams, but the batter and fillings have a nice flavor. The chutneys are authentic and complement the dishes nicely as well. The onion dosa was good but had too many green chilies for me, the gunta punugulu (8) were a good size, the ghee karam was my favorite, the Bangalore masala dosa was seasoned well and the egg dosa was a little salty. The size of the dosas were filling for one person if you're looking for a light dinner. I'd recommend trying the dosa stand once if you're in Milpitas with some time craving some street food! read more

I really wanted to like this place after the hype I received from some of my friends. So, I tried it twice though I didn't like it the first time. And nope, not worth another try. Dishes we tried on two different instances- chicken Hyderabadi biryani and Vijaywada chicken 65 biryani. Both the dishes were extremely salty. The second time, we literally cooked a cup of rice at home and mixed it with the biryani to make it edible. For rice lovers, the biryanis have very little rice and filled with only meats. Absolutely love this place for pani puri and dosas. Personally, I love the masala dosa and I love the fact that it comes with three different chutneys of your choice! My favorite is the white coconut chutney. The dosa might be a bit on the thicker side for some people but for me I like it just perfect like that with the side of potato filling and chutney. This is my family's go to place for pani puri. I wasn't really a pani puri fan but it totally gives you the feel like you're back in India at a pani puri stall. The wait might be a little long depending on the day and time you go, especially if it's the weekend but totally worth it. read more

The 5 stars is for the Bangalore style dosas they make. My husband is from Bangalore and he certifies it authentic. He says it's the only authentic version you get. Finding Biryani in USA was something I had not imagined, but then I came across 'Biryaniz' in Milpitas. The biryanis served in this place are versions of Andhra region in India, and some other places. What bothers me is in the course of making a version of Biryani, the essence of what is 'Biryani' got lost. Let's talk about the Biryanis they have - The Vijaywada Biryani - 2/5 Although, loved by many, I am particularly not impressed. It is way too hot (chilly spice) which overpowers all other flavors of the Biryani. Also, more often than not, I find it watery, which gives me the impression of eating Chicken curry and Rice, rather than Biryani. Hyderbadi Biryani (Chicken) - 3.5/5 This one is as close to an actual biryani as it can get. It's dry and watery like Vijaywada, but can sometimes be too dry. The flavors are quite right, not too spicy, and tastes decent. Although, the rice section on its own lacks flavor, but one of my preferred Biryani from this place. Amravathi Biryani - 3/5 The flavors here were a little overpowering, too much spices, the lack of subtly flavored biryani rice was disappointing to me. Apart from Biryani, I have tried few of their appetizers, nothing to write home about. It's like when you have no other option, something is better than nothing kind of feeling. So all in all, if you rename their Biryanis to say 'Chicken gravy mixed rice' or 'Paneer gravy mixed rice' or 'Veggie masala rice', I might be more accepting of the dish, than having to call it Biryani, and seeking true Biryani flavors. read more
