Dine in | $20-30 The restaurant has a warm South Indian feel, and the banana-leaf serving style makes the experience feel truly traditional. The decor is inviting, the vibes are great, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The food was good and tasted authentic, though a few dishes could use a bit more depth. My boys especially loved the Balaji Special Dosa, Chicken 65, and their parottas, which were definitely the highlights for us. A nice bonus is their Biryani and Dosa happy hours in the evening, where these items are half-priced. Overall, a solid South Indian spot with good ambiance, kind staff, and a few standout dishes the kids really enjoyed. Food: 4/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 Noise level Very quiet Wait time Up to 10 min

The happy hour dosa and biryani is worth the visit alone! Great deal, great portion, and deliciously complex flavors that hits the spot! So convenient being located in the food row area by Pizza my Heart and Wingstop. Everything we ate was 10 out 10 and the service was so kind and warm that we felt welcomed the moment we walked in and dining out.

I'm writing this review in the middle of out meal. Not even waiting until the end.. wow. This is a good place, we were gonna go to Pizza my heart next-door and lucky lucky lucky us. This opened up right next to them so giving it a first shot and oh my God awesome food awesome service and the place looks good. Atmosphere is good. We'll be definitely making this a regular spot

I got the shakkarkandi , soya chaap and the prawn starter. Starting with the shakkarkandi - it was al dente on the inside and roasted on the outside, the chutneys on the top were the right combo of sweet and sour. The soya chaap was soft and would dissolve in a few bites. The curd based sauce below was sweet and tangy - it elevated the dish further. The prawn dish was the star of the evening - the masala, the roast and the presentation - it is a must have here - Hidden gem!!! I got paneer lababdar with basil roti and seasonal vegetable biryani. The paneer was soft and went really well with the gravy. The roti was a bit of confusion as it didn't work that well - missed the basil flavor. The biryani had some hits and a few misses. Overall - Good food, patient staff and delightful decor Will definitely be back for more !

My brother-in-law was visiting from North Carolina, so we brought him as our guest to celebrate our anniversary. In addition to our celebration, the people at the next table were celebrating a graduation. The ceilings are high, both indoor and outdoor, and the space is nicely lit. The service is ok. They are familiar with dishes but never filled our water glasses. I am not usually a stickler for this, but this time I will be. The table was not crumbed although we ordered a dessert. I also feel at a place of this caliber they should offer to pack our leftovers backstage rather than leave it to us. Good news, we did have leftovers! Bad news, the containers we were given to pack our leftovers have such thin sides we could not get the lids to seal. Perhaps there is an art to this, which again favors this being done backstage by the server. I wonder if I brought a bottle of wine and five guests, whether they would offer to pour it backstage or pour it sloppily at the table? If a server has not been trained how to pour a 125 mL or 150 mL pour, it's best done backstage. Would I return? The answer is yes. The paan leaf shareable was new to me and good. I have a Lucknawi heritage and would pass on the Pani Batashe. I wish they had Sheermal, but you never see it on offer. The parottas (chili and basil) were eaten with relish by my tablemates. The Do Din Ki Dal was really good as was the Amchuri Subzi. I had the Kodagu lamb to myself as my table mates are vegetarian. I have to say I really enjoyed the flavor and the lamb chunks were bite-size and generally tender and not dry. We shared the Gulab Jamun and tea to close our meal. I prefer the Gulab Jamun at yellow chili, but this is OK. UPDATE: we came back with another friend from out of town and this time I had the Awadi Nihari lamb shank. Falling off the bone good accompanied by saffron rice and gravy. On the whole, however, I prefer the Kodagu lamb. I ordered their Negroni Kamikaze, but it appears they brought me someone else's drink. It tasted like a greyhound and looked like a greyhound, but when I asked them, they assured me it was the Negroni kamikaze, and that they make it with white vermouth. However, I just looked at their menu and it says they use red vermouth so something went wrong. This is another example of the lack of investment in the training of their wait staff. My wife wanted a non-sweet Lassi, so they made her a masala lassi which she enjoyed. We were back even sooner than expected!

Got the Goat Nihari and was shocked by how well it was cooked. Good oil separation on top and a lot of depth to the broth. The goat itself was the real surprise. Most Indian spots I go to fail braised goat in one of two ways: overcook it and it's dry and chewy, or braise it so long that it falls apart but loses all its succulence. This one was both tender and succulent. Came near closing too and it was still this good. Most places keep the meat stewing all day and that's how it goes bad. Naan was standard and good. Can't wait to come back and try more next time I need a late night fix.

This place changed my opinion for good. Absolutely loved the Chole Kulche and Chole Bature. Also tried the pani puri - it was good. I had better flavors of water in Vancouver but I will take it. I loved the ambience of this place - they have really put effort to bring forth Punjabi small town vibes. Kudos for having that vision. If you are a millennial or older gen this place will bring back childhood memories. From Campa soda to Goli - there are surprises if you look around carefully.
