We found a table that was able to accommodate five of us, and our waitress was amazing. She was able to offer suggestions for beers, and the burgers weren't that expensive, especially from how great they were. This is such a cool new place! I'm not always a fan of taphouses since you don't always get delicious foods, or sometimes beers end up skunked/not that great when you keep changing kegs and not cleaning tap lines properly. But this place is nice! The rewards program is better than HopCat (you get points for food AND booze), the food is delicious (you can substitute a beef burger for turkey, chicken or black bean), and it's a nice open space. Great place for craft beer and a burger on the south side! This place has 60 rotating taps and a great selection of burgers, the Mushroom Swiss is my favorite so far. All burgers can be done with chicken! They offer several sides but the homemade chips are my favorite. We've visited twice now. They have a great changing selection of craft beers and ciders on tap. They do allow samples and offer flights as well. They don't have liquor so just beer and wine. It's a great atmosphere and was full for the UK game tonight. A big plus is that it's family friendly! I've had a burger and a chicken sandwich. The sandwiches are a la carte but you can choose a burger, veggie burger or chicken for any of those sandwiches. The food is okay. I've had better but I'm giving this a 5 Star for the atmosphere, the variety of crafts and the friendliness of the staff and owner. Our friend's fries weren't very good, under done I think and they brought out a new better batch. They also went out of the way to make sure that the gluten free options were available for the fries as well due to an allergy. I had the bruschetta Burger and fried pickles. Both blew my expectations out of the water. The batter on the pickles was thick, crunchy and had lots of favor! The bruger was amazing I wouldnt have thought I would have cared for it, but to my surprise I can't wait to go back. The hand pattied burger fresh meat, and the cold bruschetta was a prefect combo. We came here on New Years Day around noon and experienced a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Stopped in to check out this new place. Lots of beer taps--60? A lot of choices!! We had their homemade beer cheese and hot soft pretzels. It was very good...the pretzels were served piping hot, soft on the inside, a bit chewy on the outside, designed to be pulled apart. Great for sharing! They have baskets of fries that looked really good, too. The atmosphere is not great...we were there after dark, and their lighting is mostly the energy saving "blue" light, not my favorite, but I get it. We sat at the bar and the lighting was warm there! Lots of TV's, I'd say every seat has a good view. They have an electronically scored shuffleboard and free WiFi. The staff was friendly, and we'll be back. I'd recommend you give it a try! read more

We were in town and some friends suggested this place as it was just around the corner from where we were. It's very spacious! There was live music on the Friday night that we were there. He was great! It seemed like there was more space for tables that they could use. We had to wait for a table which isn't unusual for a Friday night, but it was odd to see all the tables spread out in a way that made it seem like they could fit more in there. Maybe it was just the fact that there were a few groups in there at that time. This spot is in a corner space of a strip so there are 2 doors. We ended up near one of them so it was a little chilly since it was early February. The beers on tap were very good! I think I'd like to see more local brews, but since I love sours, I was thrilled at their selection! They had plenty in the way of cider too. I had a blood orange sour from California which was very tasty. I could definitely taste the blood orange coming through. We ordered pretzels and cheese. The pretzels were very good and soft on the inside with that typical pretzel crust on the outside. The cheese was different than I was expecting. The consistency was more like sour cream so it was pretty thick. It also was very tangy which I enjoyed immensely, but it didn't really taste like cheese to me so that was weird. I asked my husband, and he said he could taste the cheese so maybe my taste buds were expecting something different. Still good though! Our friends ordered the wings, and he cleaned them off the bone so they are clearly worth ordering as well. All in all, this was a good meet-up place. read more

When you think absurd can't get any worse somebody or something proves you wrong. I placed an order for delivery. The order included 3 burgers and 3 sides. 2 of the burgers were turkey burgers. When I received the order there were 2 sides and 1 burger. No turkey burgers were delivered. I called right away and who ever picked the phone explained that they didn't realize they did not have turkey burgers because something with the truck, delivery or whatever. So they decided to process the order for 1 burger and 2 sides and send it my way. I asked the guy on the phone if he thought it would have been a good idea to call me and let me know so I could change or add anything to that order. He said it would have been a good idea but they did not. He said he refunded the part of the order they did not have. We were 3 people waiting for the order. My wife and I tried Mr. Brews Taphouse for our first and last time. Sat at our table for 15 minutes before anybody would even look at us. Waiters would walk by without making eye contact or even coming over and say somebody will be with you shortly. Bartender wouldn't even look at us. After about 15 minutes the Bartender eventually noticed and nudged our waiter from his bar stool at the end of the bar. Both our hamburgers were overcooked and dry. Our first trip at recommendation from family. The good... our server was very nice and did her best working the entire restaurant. We primarily had hamburgers and everyone gave them thumbs up. 2 of the 4 burgers ordered were specialty items. The Peanut Buster and the Jalapeño Popper burgers. Both were thumbs up. We also had their Mac 'n Cheese and Grilled Cheese sandwich, all good. The not-so-good. We had what were advertised as fresh cut and cooked French fries and house made chips. Both were served cold and looked like they were day-old. Lastly, they only serve Pepsi products. Need I say more? Located in the same plaza as Meijer, this is an awesome watering hole to hit up when in the area of the La Fayette mall. Their beer selection is all encompassing and TVs abundant for the ultimate game day experience. They do have specials for UK games which include $5.99 appetizers (i.e. steak nachos and chili cheese fries that are generously portioned) and $4 pints/$13 pitchers (true pitchers). Although they do rotate their taps, they do occasionally carry Zombie Dust IPA. The space is well laid out and spacious for any sized party. Went here on a Saturday night with my son and it was maybe half full. This place is also very new so word has not spread as of its opening I feel like. It was seat yourself so we took a high top table and every table has a pretty good view of a tv. The waitress came up and asked if my son wanted goldfish or fruit snack that were complimentary, she also brought a child's menu with a crayon. The beer list had a good variety for most beer drinkers. I ordered the peanut butter burger and it was very good. It had peanut butter and pepper jack cheese, the combination was not what you would expect it to taste like, but it was good. They have dozens (60?) beers on tap representing several of the local brew houses like Counttry Boy and West 6th and also several regional/national ones such as Bell's, Floyd's, Dogfish Head, etc. The food was very fresh and tasty. This place is brand new and it's our first time here but we will definitely be back. With 60 taps, unique brews, and delicious food I can easily see this becoming a regular weekend place. They have 7 big TVs if you're a sports fan and a nice open space. The beer list is impressive, they have things we haven't seen around town yet. We had the cheese curds appetizer-yum, and a vegetarian and meat burger for lunch. My Rajun' Cajun' black bean burger was delightfully spicy and my husband gave his Mr. Brew's Peanut Buster burger a thumbs up. Prices were reasonable for both food and beer and won't break the bank. This place will definitely get more popular as it's here longer, so I recommend you stop in before everyone finds out about it! We will be back. Probably very soon! read more
