Cute place, nice staff; it ends there. The pizza, and they have an abundance of choices/options, looks good on top - but the crust is the issue. The crust tastes and looks like - pre-bought, pre-baked, frozen crust that toppings are simply added to. I didn't enjoy the pizza at all; ate 1/2 a slice, trashed the rest. Does anyone know if they make their own dough and spin their own pizzas? I doubt it. Also had a beef empanada - odd they have empanada, but I like empanada so I tried it. Had an off taste - not spoiled, but an odd spice perhaps - and again, tasted reheated from frozen. Also, they had Jamaican Patties that I know, for fact, are frozen and heated - those, anyone can purchase at the supermarket, and they were the same shape, color, etc. So I had high hopes, but it was a disappointment. $8 plus for a slice and an empanada - not worth it. read more

Tried the Old Fashion (Sicilian) well done and added 1/2 pepperoni. Crust was great and held up even with lake of tomato sauce on top. The sauce itself was tasty but I'd prefer if it was a bit thicker. Not your weekly pizza but definitely good on occasion. read more

Don't believe the negative reviews. We moved to the area a year ago and still haven't found a great pizzeria until now. We got a menu on our doorstep and decided to give it a shot. We got a cheese pie and half peppers and ham. The dough was amazing, great cheese, and the sauce was great. I can't wait to try their penne vodka and antipasto salad. Awful experience. I ordered on grubhub and put in the notes to call when outside (and re entered the phone number- I have two young children who were sleeping) They ignored the note which caused my dogs to bark once they rang the doorbell, and woke my children up. When I opened the bag, it was not what I ordered. I ordered grilled chicken with a side of spinach. Please see the picture I uploaded. Forget that buffalo wings generally have hot sauce on them and that the online ordering system asks if you'd like your wings mild, medium, or hot--you'll open the box and there will be no sauce. And the phone staff (and manager) will tell you that this is the way they are supposed to come and maintain that you have not been misled. This was always my "go-to Italian" place when I lived in Saddle Brook, so when I found out they opened a place a block away from my house in Little Ferry I was ecstatic. Now every place has some bumps along the way but Mr. Bruno always fixes it. Today though ugh made me very happy, my husband ordered me a antipasto salad, because of digestive issues I always have to cut my salad very fine and places always give me the "ummm idk if we can do that for you ma'am". Well Mr. Bs no problem, they did it perfectly and I am so happy. Now last time I ordered Angel Hair w/ Bolognese sauce (Xtra sauce on the side) they gave me 2 small things of sauce on the side and NONE on the pasta. We ordered a bbq chicken pie from here... it was literally tons of bbq sauce on hard pizza crust dough and chunks of chicken. Wayyyyy too much bbq sauce. I had to literally wipe off the pizza and then put back on little chunks of chicken without the river of sauce. Mr. Brunos, you must obey common customer expectations. When I order a pizza at 8:20pm and your confirmation e-mail says that my pizza should be here around 9:28pm I'm slightly disappointed. Having to wait over an hour for my pizza is not ideal, but after calling at 9:45 asking why it hasn't arrived yet is ridiculous. My expectation is that after waiting almost two hours for my pizza it should arrive steaming hot. That expectation would be inaccurate. My pizza was cold, cold like it should have been delivered an hour and a half ago. Don't get me wrong, your pizza is delicious, this is why I make the always-regrettable mistake from ordering from you guys. This will unfortunately be the last time. I keep thinking, they will improve, this time will be different, and like a boy who abuses his girlfriend, you never changed. If you don't mind waiting close two hours from the time you place your order for your pizza, order from Brunos. If you prefer cold pizza, or love reheating pizza once it arrives, order from Brunos. Tried Mr Bruno's for the first tune last Friday night. Ordered one plain pie and an old fashioned sicilian. Regular pie was oozing with meaty mozzarella. I didn't taste the sauce that much but the cheese was delicious. Definitely will go back next time I'm in that area. read more

Mr.Bruno's is a new local pizza spot in the 711 strip mall in Little Ferry. I decided to give it a try and also felt like having pizza for breakfast today :) . Inside, they have lots of slices on display but what caught my eye was the assortment. I've seen some interesting slices of pizza in my day but this place might take the cake. They had a slice with chicken cacciatore, a Philly cheese steak slice, Alfredo, etc. They have regular slices as well as deep dish slices which are smaller with a thick crust. The inside is very nice, modern and clean with about 6 tables. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I tried a regular slice and an eggplant deep dish slice. The plain slice was pretty good. I wasn't crazy about the deep dish slice because it was too thick and the bread wasn't outstanding. I also wasn't crazy about the eggplant. I suggest sticking with the regular slices. A regular slice, deep dish eggplant and a water was about $6.50 read more

The Good - The food is really decent, not just the pizza but the other items as well. Good value, great red sauce and whether we've had it there or to go, never a problem with the order. Personally the meatballs and pasta combo are hard to beat and even in delivery orders they include plenty of bread as well as utensils. When we do order for delivery, I use their site to order without any issues on accuracy and usually (not always) decent delivery times. Pizza is good as well and I will say their toppings are fresh, tasty and they are generous with them. The not so good - Nothing stands out, i mean it's all good but nothing is that "OMG you have to try this." Delivery times (if you opt for delivery) can be very short or very long and unless you call in to find out whats happening you can wait for long times on busier nights. Keep in mind it is one of the better places in the area so times on Fridays especially can get long in waiting for pizza there or for delivery. Plenty of Pepsi branded products there as well. read more

Trying this place was a mistake. I ordered with high expectations because of previous reviews. I got there handed my card for a 8.50$ purchase and was told bc it was under 10$ I was being charged .50 cents. Not asked but told, so I said ok bc what was I to do after he had my card in his hand? Got home the food was gross the slice tasted old, and the mozzarella sticks for 6$ were mini sticks, cold, and tasted like they came from a box. McDonald's mozzarella sticks are better by far. I then got home and saw that the ".50 charge" is actually put on my bill as gratuity. How shady and illegal. do your self a favor skip this place! read more

Ordered from here through Grubhub at 3:57 estimated delivery was 4:47-4:57. I decided to call the restaurant at 4:53 since the grubhub never updated. I was told my order was leaving the restaurant (which is 7 minutes away) almost an hour later still no pizza. I call again and was told it just got out of the oven. I asked them how it just got out of the oven if I was told an hour ago that it was leaving the restaurant. They told me the order was messed up and they re made it. I finally received my order at 5:58. Everything was cold. Pizza was over loaded with chicken. Tater tots were soggy. I went through Grubhub to request a refund, the restaurant denied saying they "sent the order once it came out of the oven." I will never order from this place again. read more

First time I tried this pizza ever and it was awesome. Just a plain pie, grandmas pizza which I never tried and probably one of my favs now. This cold weather we got chicken soup also which hit the spot. Definitely now our pizza pick up place since we live so close by. read more

I like to try new places, and tonight was Mr. Bruno's turn. NOT IMPRESSED. I ordered fries with gravy and cheese, e.g. the Jersey standby; Disco Fries. Fries were soggy. Jarred gravy and Veveeta-ish cheese. DISGUSTING! Also I ordered a Veal Parm Hero. Equally disappointing. Ultra-thin veal with lots of breading. Meh, bland sauce. Cheese just OK. Honestly, the ONLY good thing was the bread, which appeared to be fresh-baked, good crunch factor and texture. $13.49 plus $1.50 del. fee. Totally not worth it. I do not recommend them. AT ALL. As I said, I like trying new places, but when I'm not impressed on my first order, you don't get a second chance. read more

Was skeptical due to the fact that there are 6 or 7 pizza spots within a mile of where I live but I pass it almost every day so I decided to give it a try. Was not disappointed! Love their margarita pizza, it's very saucy (I like that). Their specialty pizzas are really good too. They also make really good salads and when I order them with chicken, they don't skimp out. I've also had their veal parm which was delicious as well as their wings and tater tots (buffalo chicken tater tots at the bomb) which were all delicious. I can't speak for everyone's taste on things but I like their food. The place is clean. And the people working their are very friendly. This place is definitely worth giving a try. read more

They say that there's no such thing as bad pizza. I say you've never had Mr. Brunos. We ordered about a half dozen pies (cheese and pepperoni) and what a disappointment. The pizza was bland. How do you make pizza bland?! I'll tell you how, first, you add no salt, go light on the cheese, use the cheapest canned version of a pizza sauce with no seasoning, and you give it no love. Seriously, maybe if you taste as you go along, you'd notice that whole thing was lacking flavor. The crust was basically flavorless and could've use a little more crunch. This goes for the pepperoni too. We ordered cheese pies and pepperoni pies for a large group and both pies tasted bland. Where did you get your pepperoni, b/c i've never had one with no flavor, spice, or kick. I'm giving them 2 stars because they arrived fairly quickly and they were nice on the phone. read more

After I waited an hour for my pizza I got the wrong one and when I called them to inform them that they have given me the wrong pizza not only was it not be pizza I ordered such as toppings but it was a medium and not the large I ordered the lady tells me she can send another one but because they are busy I would have to wait an additional 30min for the correct pizza to come.
