The Korean woman who I assume is the owner behind the cashier was definitely having a bad day.... Have been coming here with her serving me for over 10 years and today she's lost one customer. She seemed totally annoyed with every customer in the 15mins I was browsing their menu selection; not a smile, not a thank you.... I tried the king dumplings (pork), the soup dumplings, and the peach dumplings. Unfortunately all of it was kinda meh. The soup dumplings were good and the sauce was lovely, but the more I ate i slowly got nauseous. The king dumplings were not great to be honest, the texture and flavor was a little bland. The peach ones texture wise I enjoyed, but again they were bland. These were all very pretty dumplings but, underwhelming after eating them. I sadly wont be going back. The customer service was lovely though, I encountered the woman other reviews mentioned and she was nothing but friendly, at least from my experience. I visited this place a few months ago and when I ordered just one set of soup dumplings, the man at the front kept asking me if I wanted to order anymore. He kept saying "just 1? Nothing else?" I am not one to ever leave a bad review but I felt like I had to say this. We've come here a few times for dumplings and typically receive bad customer service from the older lady at the front. We usually let it slide knowing theres often a lot of customers so they may just be in a rush. However, today we ordered one order soup dumplings to go and she asked us a few times if we wanted to get something else on top of that. We politely declined and said no...and not knowing we would understand what she was saying, she dissed to her coworker in Korean in front of our faces about how we only got one order of dumplings and didn't want anything else. On top of that when we came back to grab our to go order, they pointed to a table in the food court where they put our togo order (which was out in the open for anyone to come by and grab if they wanted to), we were confused because we thought the to go order would atleast be behind the counter but we were hungry so we just got the food and left. Come to find out on top of everything else, the order was completely wrong. There was no other to go orders placed on that table, it was the only one. Been here a few times. Always tasty, quality is consistent. Staff is never really that friendly, they have the attitude of give me your order and get out the way. So hard to rate this particular place! I will say the dumplings I have had were excellent! The Soup Dumplings are tasty with a very good broth inside and I really enjoy the Spicy dipping sauce. I feel like the true star of the show is the King dumplings. They are so tasty and not like anything else in the area. The challenge is they NEVER seem to have any. I have gotten some once in 11 separate trips. (I shop at the H Mart so I try any time I shop). I assume the lady at the counter is the owner. The time that I actually got some King Dumplings she told me I could not order them by themselves and that I had to order something else. This is certainly not posted anywhere, but I went with it and discovered the soup dumplings were also very good. She is also super picky about extra anything. Chopsticks, sauce, napkins, etc. I feel like it is a bit counter productive since if they just had their best product on offer I would order multiple orders. Some to eat and some for home. ALERT: located inside Hmart store. I'm surprised that I'm just now discovering this little spot. I love dumplings! They have a wide array of dumplings and I enjoyed each one that I tried. My favorite was the shrimp dumpling. The service was great and each of us were given a complimentary tea. When we told them we did not want one of the dumplings bc we didn't realize it contained mushrooms, they were kind enough to exchange the dumplings for another vegetarian dumpling. I docked off one star due to the level of cleanliness. As I mentioned before, it is inside a store along w/ other restaurants so I realize that keeping the seating area spotless will be difficult. I'm just a stickler for a clean place. There is always the option of getting it to go which is probably preferable considering the pandemic. read more

Each order came with 10 pieces each. I'm not sure why I thought Peach Buns contained peaches but the red bean stuffing wasn't overtly sweet. Choosing to get the dumplings fried was the move. I want to give it 4 stars for great quality and value, but I cannot. Here is my reason. Both times I've ordered, I had the owner lady? (or the cashier) encounter such a rude attitude to other patrons and it was really displeasant. The first time around -- a little girl spilled a little bit of Fanta in front of her stall and she was literally yelling at this girl, making her cry. Yes I understand it's annoying when guests do that, but that is no way to treat a customer. While the girl was crying, the Katsu store's employee was trying to comfort the little girl saying she would take care of it. Completely different attitudes. Today, I was waiting to place my order and this Chinese elderly lady was trying to pull out her coins so she can finish paying. The same rude cashier was insisting she doesn't need to pay the change since it seemed like it was taking a while. She kept sounded annoyed and kept telling her that it's fine. From a perspective, that was nice of her to not take the extra money but the Chinese elderly lady was just trying to pay her bill exactly what she owes. She kept sounding annoyed. That was fine.. but what really threw me off was the other male employee literally cursing in Korean talking shit about her. I was blown away... This grandmother was just trying to pay her bill but he literally said this IN FRONT OF ANOTHER CUSTOMER. If you think that is okay, then you need to reconsider working in the food industry. if you want to talk shit, that's fine but don't do it in front of another customer.
