Mr Egg is awesome. Both times we have stopped in for breakfast late on Sunday morning the place is packed. But, if you have to wait it's completely worth it. They get the food out super quick so the tables turn over in a reasonable time. I will say I love Mexican food for breakfast and they have quite the selection of Mexican style breakfast. Our go to entree here is the machaca. Which is basically ground beef onion bell pepper and jalapeño smothered in green chili. It's served with potatoes and eggs for 8.95. It's a huge portion! Big enough to share. We also ordered a side pancake, which was also humongous. Prices here are reasonable. Portions are huge, and service is fast and friendly. read more

If you love old school diners, Mr. Egg is for you! They offer amazing portions of breakfast foods for very reasonable prices. The pancakes are light and fluffy and the service is fast and friendly. One meal is enough for breakfast and to take the remainder for lunch. You cannot beat Mr. Egg for your breakfast and coffee needs. Highly recommend! It's a great bang for your buck. I am not a fan because it's got Egg in the restaurant name and the scrambled eggs I had were overcooked and not good. I was excited to try the place because it's across the street from my husband's work. When I got there, it was super busy and I had to wait for a table. Where do I start? First of all, do not be fooled by the outside or inside presentation. The neighborhood is fine. You're just in the industrial section. So there's nothing fancy on the outside. And when you go inside -- the same. Nothing fancy. But then the food comes. I ordered corned beef hash, and I figured it would be the typical Hormel brand stuff heated up on the grill. Nothing of the sort! It was a homemade version of wonderfulness. The Huevos Rancheros was excellent. And Myra got the Western Skillet. Excellent! This little breakfast haven is tucked inside a strip mall across the street from Boyer's Coffee Shop. I chose to belly up to the small counter facing the kitchen to observe the action. Lauren greets me with a friendly smile and I soon had a nice cup of Joe and a colorful menu in hand! Molly also a member of this family business has the eagle eye to spy my coffee cup needed a refill as she rushed to keep up with the busy crowd! I ordered the Steak and eggs, hash browns, biscuits with gravy and a blue berry pancake on the side! Talk about a gut buster! The steak was cooked perfect and the mound of home style breakfast potatoes were delicious! My over easy eggs also were spot on! Pancake a little on the over done side but tasted great! Portions are generous, even on the senior/kids menu. Make sure to ask about daily specials. Carnitas, menudo and beef ribs are sometimes a daily special and well worth the money. A friend of my husband told us about this place, at first I wasn't excited to go but by the end of our meal I was glad we chose this place. We went during the week around 1 and they were busy, but were still able to get a table for 5 right away. Now the food *whistles* was delicious!!!! If I could give this place zero stars, I would I do not know who the people are who have posted positive reviews but I don't believe them. I have eaten here before a bit over a year ago and wasn't enamored with the food or the service at that time but this latest experience, was beyond the pale. When 4 people have 4 very bad meals, pork chops hard as leather, "over-medium eggs" as runny as snot, chili rellenos with cheese on top that needed a steak knife to cut through, and sliced tomatoes that tasted like plastic toys, that is a fairly thorough representation of what Mr. Egg offers its customers. Couple that with hands-down the worst waitress that any of us has encountered in decades, and Mr. Egg gets zero stars. Maybe her attitude was so rude because one of us was wearing an officer's uniform, but that is no excuse. Zero stars! read more

There are a lot of servers for the small dining room, so you'll get good service. The food is served quickly. It's not as far out of town as it seems. A great little breakfast place we discovered while visiting Mountain High Appliance down the road. Classic old time feel with lots of good coffee and good food. Super friendly and welcoming service. I enjoyed the huevos rancheros with extra fresh tortillas and my husband had an omelette loaded with chicken, veggies and cheese. Generous side offerings- we chose pancakes- yum!!
