How cute are these sprinkled donuts?! 10/10 on taste and quality!
    Diana T.

10/10 Highly Recommend! These donuts are so soft, fluffy, and delicious! My family and friends have been coming to Mr. Good's for over 10 years and the donuts have always remained consistent, which is so hard to find and come across. It truly brings nostalgia whenever I eat these donuts because the taste is always on point. This is a family owned and run donut shop that has been a staple in Alhambra. I actually prefer these donuts more so than Krispy Cremes and Dunkin Donuts, since those types of donuts tend to be more sweet for my palate. Key note: Don't sleep on their apple fritters. Perfect amount of sweetness. Sooo good and has a crunch to it! They have a great selection on display. I always make sure to ask for a box of a dozen donuts first before picking what I want. And I never feel rushed since this shop has a relaxed atmosphere. They also have a parking lot which makes going in and out easy. I've also preordered several dozen boxes for work events or family functions. Mr. Good's never disappoints. What are you waiting for? Goooooooo get them!!

The good: Mr. Good's has the goods. Donut miss out on a good old classic donut from here. I tried three donuts: the maple bar, a custard, and a coconut donut. All were fluffy, not overly big, and had great texture/flavor. The donuts here aren't pretentious or covered in heavy spreads or cereals that take away from the donut itself. I am definitely more of a raised donut lover versus a cake donut lover. The ones here are raised and have a nice lightness to them. The price is also great! The donuts come in your classic pink donut box. The bad: They close earlier on weekends (2 vs. 5pm). There's no outdoor seating. The interesting: It's cash only.

$1.15 Chocolate Twist, yum! Sugary goodness that hits the spot and satisfies my donut craving/snack time, hehe!

"MmmMMmMmM...donuts *inserts drool* - Homer Simpson. ***CASH ONLY JOINT*** Can't go wrong with donuts - whether it's for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack time, hehe! Been here twice and I dig it! My favorites are the maple bars and chocolate twists. They even have plain donuts that I got for my Mom before when she was craving some, but didn't want all that sugary goodness on top, hehe! Supporting the local Asian Mom & Pop shop. Plentiful parking spots either in the lot or street parking. The Mom and Son that assisted me before were both nice and courteous. Haven't tried the savory stuff yet, but will at some point. For now, the donuts themselves are on-point!

The biggest surprise was the Kimchi Croissant, which has honestly become my favorite pastry in the SGV. The croissant was flaky and buttery, with bacon, a soft jammy egg yolk, and just enough kimchi to add a little spice and acidity without overpowering everything else. It's a combination I wasn't sure would work, but it really does. I also had one of their signature cream puffs, and it's easy to see why they're known for them. They offer some interesting flavors like Biscoff Crunch, Taro Salted Egg Yolk, and black sesame hojicha which are a nice change from the usual vanilla and chocolate options. For drinks, I tried the Pistachio Cloud Top Matcha and the Black Sesame Cloud Top. Both were well balanced and not overly sweet. The pistachio matcha was my favorite of the two. The staff were friendly and patient, even though there was a steady flow of customers and plenty of people taking their time deciding what to order. One thing to keep in mind is that they do sell out of popular items fairly early, so if you have something specific in mind, it's worth going earlier in the day. Overall, Browned is a solid bakery with creative pastries, good drinks, and friendly service. It's easy to see why it's become such a popular spot in San Gabriel.

I bought almost everything in the store to try, and honestly, the one item I would absolutely go back for without hesitation is the kimchi croissant. It was unique, flavorful, and easily the standout item. The rest was okay. The lattes were also very small for the price of $7+. Overall, I think the place has potential, especially with items like the kimchi croissant, but they need to improve the parking flow, signage once the construction is complete.

I happened to meet the owner there and asked her what makes your Matcha so special and she said she used the finest Premium Organic Matcha in her drinks so customers can taste the difference of the real quality ingredients in the drink. I hardly see out there any coffee or tea shop put so much thoughts for their drinks. This owner really cares not just her business but the quality she puts in the ingredients in her drinks! Their Strawberry Coffee is very delicious too with the little kicks of fruits inside and gives a cool tasteful strawberry favor! Dont believe in me! Go try it yourself and definitely you will give a 5 stars! Not only that , it was a long line but they service very fast ! I love it! We come here when we go visit my mom in San Gabriel! Popcorn Milk Tea with Brown Sugar Tapioca ($7.85) - My go-to drink! - Perfect level of sweetness without being overpowering - Rich, creamy, nutty flavor - Brown sugar tapioca had the perfect soft and chewy texture (only wished it was cut a bit smaller) Pinewood Milk Tea ($6.85) - Similar to the Popcorn Milk Tea, but with a lighter, more subtle nutty flavor - Still delicious, though I personally prefer the Popcorn Milk Tea Jasmine Oolong Milk Tea ($6.85) - A great option if you're looking for something lighter and more refreshing Everything was made well, and the service made the experience even better.
