Im giving this place only 3 stars for now and would hope if I try it again I can give it 4 stars. Here's my issue and why I didn't give it 4 stars...You do get plenty of food for your buck, that's a plus but we waited almost an hour for just a wrap and a combo. And came away with still not getting what I ordered. My gyro had tons of meat but only one tomato and a drizzle of sauce. I ordered lemon potatoes but that's not what I got. I do hope the business owner reads these reviews, I do believe he could benefit from them. Its not a bad place the owner just needs to listen or read the reviews. There is no website and no place to view a menu, which is a problem for me. I did find a menu here on yelp where someone was nice enough to provide in their photos. I used this to figure out what I wanted before I got there, only to find when I got there the menu had been changed and they no longer offered any appetizers. The woman taking the orders didn't seem to know the Greek names for the food and refered to Spanakopita as "a spinach thing". Dear business owner, if you have a restaurant you MUST have a website with at least a menu! I love Greek food, my fav and was happy to see a new Greek restaurant but you must offer more Greek items. I had Mr. Gyro for the first time since moving to Snellville in January this year and I must say, i am 100% pleased! This is some of the best Greek food I've had in a while. I used to live in Buckhead so Cafe Agora was my go to spot, although their prices were on the higher end. I actually find Mr. Gyro's food is tastier, with well seasoned gyro meat and Greek potatoes. Stumbled upon this place while I was out in Lilburn for business. Pretty happy with this find! They have great service and pretty good Gyro Wraps. The meat is pretty tender and not too salty. There's just enough sauce to taste the sauce, but not enough to smother the meat. As previous reviewers mentioned, there is a LOT of meat, which for me, was a good thing. There are a few onions and tomatoes thrown in there too. The bread they use is soft and has a good flavor that compliments the gyro meat. I also went with the combo, which I will say is a little steep since it is $2.99 for just a canned drink and some fries or Greek potatoes. I went with the Greek potatoes, which are pretty good. I would have liked them to be a little crispier, but I've never had real Greek potatoes, so I don't think I can really criticize them. The food here is amazing. It does take a little time to get your food, but if you have the time, it's so worth it. I can never eat the whole plate. I even shared with someone, and couldn't eat it all! The portion sizes are huge, and the gyros and Greek salads are awesome. The taziki sauce is made fresh every day as are the desserts. It is a family owned and run business, and they are straight from Greece. The presentation is beautiful too - when you open the container, it doesn't look like it was shaken up and dumped on the ground first like some places. Yesterday was my second time at Mr. Gyro's. The first time I ordered the falafel platter with Gyro meat and a dessert. The meal was expensive. The feta cheese on the salad was delicious! The falafels were okay but kind of bland. Thankfully I ordered the side of Gyro meat because I probably wouldn't have given this review 3 stars. The gyro was amazing be sure to order extra sause.. my second time I order a sausage wrap(Loukaniko) and meh...it was good. Wish there were more toppings or it came with the greek salad instead of the potatoes. However, I suggest calling in your order since all items are made to order, meaning be prepared to wait.
