Overhead door got back to me right away, my door is discontinued but they found old stock in their storage and cut me a pretty good deal. I also wasn't going to be charged anything if the door panels brought out weren't compatible, despite the distance. The work was done, it was done well and the quoted price was it, no hidden fees or anything else when it came time to cut the check. The work done at my old place was great, in 8 years I never had one issue with the products installed. At my new home I can say the same except for when I damaged it! I'm sure there are cheaper companies out there, I think you get what you pay for. Did my googles, picked the first 2, 4 stars, read them chose one and scheduled an appointment. The tech showed up in a mini van with a huge dent, no business logos, no company shirt, etc. Red flags I ignored. I was not aware that calls would be dispatched out to contractors. I also never considered fake reviews on sites. I felt very uncomfortable with that persons work + IMMEDIATELY called Lockworx upon their exit. I explained that the last company dispatched their calls out and if his did the same I would continue making calls. I was very upset, Jay listened to my concerns, was very calm and kind. He then explained that he was a local business and could be there to assist, shortly. When Jay came in he politely, asked if i would share what happened. I shared my experience and why i was getting my locks changed twice within an hour. Jay educated me with tips to search for a good company in the future, about using local business. Of course I will always use this company for any locksmith work + will only refer Lockworx to anyone asking me for a referral. Nick came in, looked at what we were proposing and said that he would have a bid to us in a couple of days. Being true to his word the couple of days and a bid materialized on my email. He came back out and we made a few changes which he resubmitted the bid in a couple of days. His proposal was acceptable. He told us that he needed to finish a job and would give us a call in a few weeks to set a date and time to start. Again true to his word this happened. On the contract that we signed with him he committed to be completed in two weeks. There were a few glitches that were run into which he took into stride and was actually done in 7 days. We had given him a can of paint that looked like the color on the walls but when he purchased the paint it ended up to be two shades darker. He then went back down, purchased additional paint and ended up painting the walls twice. The fireplace mantle he made for us thrilled both my wife and myself, matching exactly what we had pictured. I do plan on having him return to do another project we have planned.
