This was a huge disappointment. First time ordering, heard such good things. I got a chicken shwarma wrap with added lettuce and seasoned fries. No lettuce, no seasoning on the fries, including salt, and the fries were not even half way cooked. They were still hard in the middle and white on the outside. The shwarma was pure curry flavored, nothing else. If I'd wanted curry chicken I would have ordered it. We got a side of falafel, which was also barely fried and still soft, not crisp at all, and you guessed it, tasted like curry patties, not chickpeas. We ordered both types of baklava. The $6.99 Nutella baklava was 2- 1 inch squares. They forgot to include their "most popular" baklava in the order at all. It was too many things that tasted poorly or weren't even cooked properly to think there was a new cook. Plus forgotten items in the order. Overall it was a waste of money and we wouldn't recommend it to anyone. No one there seemed to care about quality control or accuracy.

This food was delicious. Highly recommend, hence the name of the restaurant , shawarma. I personally like the chicken plate with rice because it came with a little salad and some hummus. Brought all my friends here and would recommend anyone else to as well. Service was quick and the art was really pretty.

Service was horrible I asked for a cup for water because they have fountain drinks and the lady with extra lipstick taking my order said she does not have a cup for water I would have to buy a bottle - it's 100 degrees outside and like 90 degrees in the store it's so hot they have fans going which is loud and now they are playing their mucus even louder to cover the sound. They have flies flying around all over the place and the parking spaces are tiny and the parking lot is filthy looks like a landfill out here. Not a fan of this place already and I just placed my order let's see how the food is... they need to turn the AC on it feel like I'm in the Middle East it's actually hotter in the restaurant than it is outside. The chicken lacks flavor you need to drown it in sauce to power it down the flies don't even like the food they are staying away from it. Just tried the chicken without the sauce it's not edible it's gross lack flavor and is dry not good I will not be returning it's hot in here the staff is rude and the food needs sauce like a pool of it to power it down - shame on them - One guy came out and asked how was everything and was nice and offered me more sauce thank God for him... Ok he saves the day ... I think she told him I'm writing a review The sauce makes it better and if it has a little spice to it we would be ok. But just a little training if you have a restaurant and no AC offer free water cups

A.MAZ.ING!! Been here a few times, they use to be in PB but they got ran out of there, now they are in El Cajon. I will follow you guys wherever you go, THE BEST shawarma in all of SD!! Believe it or not, but this was our first time ever ordering from a Food truck and we didn't even realize it until we pulled up! Just tried the location by 30th and grape today. It's a good truck so they move to different areas. Once I saw it I had to turn back and grab some, honestly the best shawarma I have tried in San Diego. There is just something about the shawarma meat that's different and taste so so good. Very moist and tender, it's wonderful. The bread was super warm and crunchy, very tasty. The girl in the front was super nice too she even walked my order to the car when it was ready. Great customer service and food. 5/5 in my book!

If I could give no stars I would. This review is based off of multiple visits to this food truck. I work for a third party delivery company which I will not name. I been here countless times to pick up orders. The customer service is absolutely rude especially if you are a black female, I noticed whenever a black person comes to order food or even pick up a delivery for another customer they are kept waiting way longer than others, they are not greeted at all ,they are not told thank you for coming like everyone else is. Just last night a black woman was waiting to pick up an order for delivery company, everyone that works on this truck Walked past her did not greet her, she waited almost 20 minutes until two men of middle eastern decent started speaking their native tongue to the worker and then the man look at the woman and said I will take your order first. It made me so mad, I was trying to give this business the benefit of doubt. But I seen the flat out disrespect to many black women coming to this business too many times. Personally I would not spend a dollar here with this business. read more

When I first starting eating here I was pleased with the quality of food but the last 3 times eating here I noticed a big drop in the quality and taste. I know for a fact the beef is not the same from when I first started eating there, which is a shame because it used to be absolutely delicious but now it is dry and bland. In fairness the owner might not be able to buy the meat from the same supplier. This place was my go-to when in the area but sadly I won't be giving them any business from now on. read more

Not as good as people are describing. Not even close to the shawarmas back home! I have had better shawarmas in SD. The long wait was definitely not worth it. They make sure to give you a very small portion of fries and the price is excessive for the amount of food. The two other spots I used to go to before moving to PB, are Mystic Grill in Univeristy Ave, Alforon and Garden fresh by SDSU. FAR SUPERIOR. read more

I have tried multiple timrs checkin shawarma, cheese burger, beef shawarma. Definitely highly recommended the best in San Diego town. Price wise and location are very good . These guys are amazing!!!! I live not too far from and decided to give them a shot. I ordered the chicken shawarma and it was awesome . The owner is always there and always happy! it's been consistent every time. And I would gladly recommend this place to everyone. Sometimes you may have to wait a little if it's a long line.......but soooo worth it. And for those who fuss about the line. Give him a break! Meet the Business Owner: Mohammed A.

I'm a chemical engineer, I graduated from UCSD in 2018 and started this food truck to be the first shawarma food truck in San Diego. The main goal for me is to serve the original middle eastern style of the Shawarma and Falafel. This will be one of many Mr. Shawarma trucks in Southern California soon

A service truck with all of the advertising for Flavor Chef Catering was driving extremely erratically, well over the speed limit, and was tailgating me to the point that I was worried they would hit me. I was turning into my residential area with my signal on when the driver of this truck tried to split the lanes and almost caused an accident. When you have all of your advertising on a panel truck, you need to understand that that's just as important as having a good or bad product. I would never use this company and I would make sure that if I ever have the chance I would let people know not to use them either. Driving so erratically that they almost caused an accident is more damaging than a bad meal.

These guys are horrible. I ordered on the phone about a week ago, they told me 45 minutes, i showed up and it took an extra 45 minutes to get my food. The food was decent so i just called back right now to make an order and told the guy can you give me an exact time because this is what happened last time. The guy on the phone argued with me and told me its impossible and pretty much told me im a liar. I told him it did happen but its okay and he argued with me and told me "do you want the food or no?" So i told him no. These guys are the biggest assholes in the world. Even when i was there they were being assholes and unprofessional. Learn how to run a business. read more

I just wanna make a comment this place is a scam they charge hella expensive and they said it's reasonable and honestly the peer is the rudest costumer ever I literally can go to in n out and get me a burger and I see the way he talks to people on here just because they giving a opinion and clearly he don't know how to keep it professional I saw a long hair in my falafel salad I wanted a refund he tells me no because of Covid like stfu your business is nothing serious it's just a good tuck there's many better food trucks out there that are better then yours I hope they shut down !!! Its one of the best food truck out there. The food is amazing,the spices are just perfect, me and my husband are very picky eater but Mr. Shawarma beat us we can not complain .. plus the food is very very clean, all the staff wearing masks and gloves and I see them cleaning the window and the credit card machine after each customer,They are asking everyone to wear mask but still you see some Idiot ppl fighting for not ‍‍‍. Last 3 times I've come here have been far from what the place usually is. I don't know what's going on but the change is about to make me stop coming. my wraps are cold and falling apart, I pay about 9 bucks for add ons that I haven't gotten 3x times in a row which is now $22 I've paid them to not get the food I've paid to have included. NO sauces in my wraps and wrong sides coming through. Hope they go back to when they had 5 star food. read more

Been from the middle east makes it really hard to find a good authentic Shawarma places. We drove to SD and we found a lot of options, we tried most of them but we didn't find the real taste of Arabic food till we ate at Mr.Shawarma. He has one of the best Shawarma and burger in SD. I can say the only place that serve shawarma as we used to get it back in the Middle East. I recommend that you order ahead on weekend as they get super busy. This is hands down one of the best authentic middle eastern food experiences I've had in California. Their burgers are excellent, beef and chicken shawarma are to die for.
