Just had a great experience with Chuy. Earlier this morning he wasn't in but his assistant was. I brought in my motor home and it didn't pass smog. I was shocked because it only has 23k miles on it. Now I'm thinking I need repair work so it can pass. A couple hours later I get a call from Chuy asking me to retest because it was initially done on the wrong machine. Lo and behold I take it back and passes with flying colors. Major kudos to these guys for seeing a mistake and making it right. I went to pay my vehicle renewal and to my surprise the time came for me to a smog check. While doing a search Mr. Smog Check came up very close to my office. I checked out the website and also asked my coworkers if they had any recommendations. Mr Smog check was spot they recommend. My search was done. I did a little more diving on the site. He offers a coupon for 45 it includes a smog and the certificate. This was very reasonable and competitively prices. I headed over after work. The business is ran out of a single bay and office both are clean and well kept. I was greeted by Cheuy. I let him know I had the coupon but forget it at work. "No problem just pull it up on your phone" he let me know the process would take about 15 minutes, took down my phone number and with in 5 minutes had the check going. While my car was hooked up he had 3 more customers pull up. For a 1 man operation he was organized. True to his word I was out of there in 15 minutes. Really professional and fast service for ONE guy running the whole show. Office was nice and cool, or you can wait outside on the chairs they have in the shade. Free wifi, and you can print a coupon for $10 off your smog from the website. Nickelodeon was on while I was in the office, he gave me the remote and told me to put on whatever I wanted. Called Chuy at 1:30 to see if he had time to do a smog check on my Suburban. He was very polite and asked what time would work for me? Told him 2:00 thinking that gave me plenty of time to pick my daughter up from school. He said, no problem and he'd be expecting me then. I was amazed he'd be able to get someone in the shop that fast. I was pleasantly greeted with a hand shake and a warm welcome. He politely apologized that he had a truck in the bay and mine would be in next. I waited about 10 minutes while in the waiting area watching Two and a half men (lol). Then my truck took about 10 minutes from parking spot to being pulled in front of the shop for an easy exit. Then time for the payment. He told me the total and I told him that I had a coupon from his website. I attempted to show him on my phone, and he jokingly replied, "you must have seen it or you wouldn't have mentioned it". Sometimes it is a hassle with businesses if it's not printed out, wasting paper in the process. Then i was on my way with a coupon, business card, and my paperwork, and a handshake. Instead of rushing his customers out once he finished the check, he carefully explained the paperwork and chatted with both me and the nice girl ahead of me for a few minutes each. Great place to take your vehicle to get a smog check. I've been here twice and had great service both times. The first time there was a bit of a wait but this place is efficient and gets people in and out quick. Second time I was in and out in about 20 minutes or less. The owner was super nice and made sure all of my questions were answered. The second time I brought my truck in for a smog check was due to me selling it and the owner gave me the rundown on how things work in the DMVs system when selling your vehicle and smogging it. He was kind enough to go back and print multiple copies so that I could give a hard copy to the new owner. All in all great service, I will definitely be back next time I get the dreaded DMV paperwork in the mail. read more

I have used Mr Smog for a few years now and he is fast and I have always had great service.

They have a sign that says $37.99. That makes you go in, then I look at the sign in the office and that has $41.75. Then the certificate is $8.25 making this $50.00. I asked him what happened to the $37.99? He told me I would have to go on line to get the $5.00 coupon. This place is a rip off and has different amounts everywhere in and outside of the office. The only thing good about this place is no one is ever there. read more

Jesus(the owner) was very friendly and did a quick job. He even showed me how to change my air filter. He told me exactly how much the smog check was going to cost and gave me all of the papers I needed for the DMV. He also offers free Wifi and has a TV on and some water in the little waiting area. He has a coupon on his website that you have to show him before he starts the smog check. Great service! I highly recommend bringing your car to Mr Smog Check. They had a coupon on their website for $40 for smog check and certificate, and they actually honored it. The last shop would not, they said our Chevy Trailblazer is a SUV truck so their price was much higher then their advertised price.
