Just got my car smogged at Mr. Smog Check. the guy was very friendly, had me in and out in 15 minutes, I couldn't be happier.

Just got my car smog here thanks to my fellow Yelpers. This smog place is definitely the best price in town can't beat $40.00 for out the door price which includes smog and certificate sent automatically to the DMV. The place is small, clean, free wifi, tons if magazine, tv, water to make the wait time pass by quicker. The owner of the place is very friendly and efficient; car was done in 45 minutes since there were 2 cars before mine. I will definitely be back for all my smog checks, highly recommend this shop as the price is one of the lowest in the area, and the owner is a good guy. read more

Horrible experience on me in this store. I took smog check in this store this morning, just after several minutes, the store owner is rude, came to me and point me with his finger, demanding me sign on the billing sheet and asked me pay for the fee although he can't perform smog check since my car was just changed battery. After I rejected his request, he just said that he hold the key of my car and I can't have my car!!! I definitely call the police!! read more

If I could rate this place more, I would! I was in and out which helped my busy schedule. But what I appreciated the most was the customer service I was provided with. The owner, Chuy, took the time to show me proof of bad work done by a previous mechanic. I told him I would take it back to the place but he insisted on fixing what he could. Went to smog my '92 jeep this morning and had a great experience. Chuy is the owner and is a pleasure to do business with. I came here after going to AA Smog Check center and seeing a line and no one doing check ins for new customers. This place is literally a 2 minute drive from AA Smog so I drove there directly. My smog check was done at Mr. Smog Check in under 20 minutes for a total cost of $50 including the certificate itself. (I later found out that if you go to their website mrsmogcheck.com beforehand, you can get a coupon that gets you the smog check for $40.) read more

Well I'm back 2 years later for another smog check. Of course I waited to the last possible second. Registration is due in 2 days and I'm not trying to pay late registration fees. Why must I get one every 2 years?!?! My cars not THAT old....I digress. Anyway...I rolled up at Mr. Smog Check at 5:45. Chuy and Carlos put on their capes and saved the day. I had just settled down in their wonderfully air conditioned office watching their really nice flat screen TV thinking this is so nice when Carlos comes in and says I'm done. Already!!! Wow. I cant believe this place even has positive reviews. What does he do pay them! The owner that works here is extremely rude! My dad goes in to get a smog check and is waiting for along time, the guy is on the phone ignores the fact that he is there. My dad gets out of the car walks into the office comes back out, and sees the guy getting into my dads truck doesn't even tell my dad. Might I mention No gloves! No mask! (Covid-19). When my dad walks up to the truck the guy is still on the phone my dad over hears him tell the person over the phone that smogs are not a guarantee. So my dad asked him about that. And the man said no it's not a guarantee! And told my dad you can go somewhere else! So my dad asked wait a min since I'm already here how much is it. Then the guy told him no I'm not doing business with you, go somewhere else. My dad was upset and went somewhere else. My dad said that when he went somewhere else the experience there was completely different, they treated him 100 % times better. When my dad came back and told me his experience I called the guy and he told me with an angry tone, what lie is this! I said excuse me?! He said no your dad was being rude, and I told him that's not my dad. He said that's your dad not mine! I was like this guy is to much! And he told me yeah I told your dad it's not a guarantee thing. And I told him you didnt have to be rude about it. He said yeah I told your dad it wasn't a guarantee thing because he wouldn't pay me if it wasn't! So he could go somewhere else! First of all this guy is assuming and not making sense! My dad never said he wasn't going to pay him. He just had questions and the guy is just flat out rude! And me just calling him I believe it! Have always brought my vehicles here in the past and did not realize they were on yelp. Their service is very quick and they are very polite every time I have been here. Prices are competitive with all the other smog stations and if you play the coupon game they do advertise in local ad books for 5.00 off. Personally I find they very convenient to my home so price is not a factor. read more
