Best AYCE sushi, I usually don't like buffets because the quality isn't the best but the quality is on par if you were to order à la cart at a regular sushi restaurant. We came around 1pm, they give slip of paper where you check off the quantity you want, you can also order appetizers and desserts. Since they're making the sushi fresh it does take some time for each round to come out but it's worth the wait. For bird tags they do give discount but it has to be on the exact day.

I can't but help but audibly sigh when I think about my experience at Mr.Sushi. Reviews are decent here...I'm unsure where things went south. That's a lie, I know where things went south- it started out with the tap water that had a more than usual toilet taste to it. My husband and I went here for lunch on Valentine's Day, around noon. Great time to go, as you certainly don't need to worry about a wait. On that same note, you'd assume food would be fresh, right? (I'll get back to that shortly) For everyone wondering, there is not a lunch price, $26/person. We started with the kani salad and hibachi rice. This is likely a personal preference, but it seriously irked me that the kani salad had no cucumber in it, and even worse, the spicy mayo, IMO, is TERRIBLE. I was truly hoping that maybe it was the lack of veg that cause the potent flavor. Hibachi rice was unmemorable and basic, as it was only rice and chicken, no veg. Onto the main event, the SUUUSH! In my case, the downfall of the entire meal, yet the only reason we wanted to go here. The one redeeming quality Mr.Sushi has is the size of the rolls. They are THICK. Here's what we tried: - Spicy Tuna Roll: Confirmed- the spicy mayo doesn't get better. It just becomes more repulsive. If you like the "spicy" in spicy mayo- this is not for you. I'm convinced they use a bottled, premade spicy mayo. - Salmon Avocado Roll: Yum! As expected - Spicy Shrimp and Mango Roll: I had to scrape off the yucky mayo just to remotely like it. - Sweet Potato Roll: Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd be saying this was my favorite of the bunch. - Tuna avocado Roll: As if the spicy mayo was a big enough red flag.....the tuna was turning GREEN. HOW AT 12PM?! I was repulsed and made my husband eat them because I couldn't even look at them without wanting to gag. - I forget the name of the special roll, but after my disinterest in eating anything with this establishment's chosen spicy mayo, I did my best to find a roll without it. JOKES ON ME! The roll was still served with spicy mayo, even though the description said otherwise. We didn't even bother with dessert...I just wanted to dash ASAP. I did enjoy the surprise rose at the end of the meal, though HAHA. Happy V-Day lovers! If you've made it this far, I'm sure you're shocked we won't be returning. Onward and upward- time to find a new all you can eat sushi spot!

One star removed after the recent experience that I had with work friends. I don't know if everyone in the building had simply woken up on the wrong side of the bed, or what had happened, but it wasn't as simple or inviting as previous times. Menus were flung onto the table, and the host briskly walked away with a stern expression and a small "enjoy." Me and my few friends picked out some rolls and kitchen food, same stuff as usual, nothing unique. Tea was brought with empty cups (previous times full, with personal tea bags. I don't know, it was just another minor change. My brain works like that), but we did get a pot that'd just begun steeping. I opted to let it sit for a while before pouring for everyone. At least I had Coke in the meantime. Kitchen food arrived slow and steady, some of the items already cooled. On the one hand, I like when things are fresh, steamy and crispy, but at the *very* least, I can say that I didn't burn my tongue on the crab rangoons this visit... Each time, items were rapidly set down, and sauce at the stern of the "boats" lightly spilled into the deck area. Everything looked a little messy in result. Again, servers appeared stern and rushed, even though these things obviously weren't coming out the moment they were ready. I couldn't understand where it was coming from; there were maybe five other tables at best, and I'd had much better during a full house... Sushi finally came out after all of the appetizers were finished, and I was a little more disappointed at the plate. I was missing one of my Summer Rolls, which had become a new favorite after opting to swap out from the deep-fried Volcano Rolls (I'm trying so hard to be good, guys). Eel was actually great for the first time in forever, with no bones or scales whatsoever, but the salmon and tuna were paler than I'd ever seen here. I joked that those particular fish were anemic, but ate everything anyway. The rice was a little tough, too, and I hated to admit it, but it was on-par with open buffet sushi. Some of it even had a light smell. Definitely a bad day for freshness in comparison to the other times I'd been here with family and a few dates... We paid and got our green tea ice creams, with thoughts to go two doors down to the Hispanic corner store afterwards (La Placita Poblana, for anyone who wants to explore it -- I recommend the ice pops from La Guerrerense as a post-meal treat) for cold on-the-road snacks. Before we were ready to leave, we overheard some commotion around the corner: A server had apparently been whispering about the tip amount, causing a cursing outburst from a young man who was eating. The girl with him looked mortified. The server walked away in a huff, but we could hear the man grumbling something along the lines of, "All they've done is silently walk around and bring a few plates, didn't even say Hello." He continued to curse out in the open, with my group and I silently raising concerned eyebrows at each other. He was definitely rude, but one part that stuck was him saying rather loudly, "I come here to have a good time, and I work for tips, too. I get it! But you don't see *me* haggling with my tables about how 'they should pay me more for service' -- I'd be broke! This is America, tipping is an assessment and legally optional!" He had a small point, but I don't think the middle of the restaurant was an appropriate ranting spot. I'd heard plenty of complaints already about a lack of humility here. A lot of my friends work in that field, and I'd briefly been in tight spots along with them; you usually just take what you can get, in good days and bad, but never touch money on the table until after the people are gone. Some kind of etiquette/server rules about it... but usually it rakes in good numbers overall. Perhaps it's a cultural difference, an unfortunate financial issue, or perhaps we're all being silently pressured into giving too much with these suggested numbers... I really don't know the angle. Perhaps I'm just thinking too deeply into it... If anyone tried that with me though, I'd certainly never come back. I give enough support to little places, and too many people need loyal customers to stay afloat. TLDR: Apparently all anyone needs to do is charm the table and say Hello. It goes a long way for everybody, even if the food isn't always the best quality. Sometimes though, even that much is difficult. Regardless, we dropped $15 and shuffled out. Notes were made not to come back for lunch on Sundays, but I'll try again inevitably. Service with a smile, everybody! (If anyone knows some good places to try, feel free to recommend)

Being as frugal as I am, you bet that I'll be sniffing out the opportunity to go to any AYCE in my area. When my craving is for sushi and sashimi, Mr. Sushi hits the spot just right. At the price point of a little over $30 per person, the quality of what you get here makes it an easy pick as a go-to spot. I love that there's a load of rolls to select from, and unless you're with an army of foodies who can help you the clean up the plates, it's safer to stick to the sashimi and nigiri pickings to help your taste buds diversify its sampling. Of the two times that I've gone there, I was impressed with the hefty slices of fresh sashimi that I get per each round. Service was also sufficiently attentive without being overly done. There were times when I felt like the ordering sheets could've been handed to us sooner, but that wasn't a huge deal since the turnaround time was pretty quick once we handed our selections to the waitress. Ambience here's pretty casual and low-key. I'm not sure who's handling their music selection, but that probably is an area of improvement since the songs didn't do well with the vibe of the place. In any case, if you're tired from a fighting the crushing crowd while shopping at the Cherry Hill Costco, Mr. Sushi is literally across the street for you to take your respite and nestle into its warm, japanese food-filled embrace. I know I'll be making a beeline to there again whenever the next opportunity arrives.

This is my all time favorite place to get sushi! The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is usually very quick and efficient, even on their busiest days. It may look like a random little strip mall from the outside, but the inside boasts an ambiance like no other. Date nights, dinners with friends, and even coming in to dine alone, they have all been pleasant experiences with amazing food and the best vibes. They also offer BYOB which is incredible. We've had dinners here dressed to the nines and other dinners dressed entirely in sweats--proof that any occasion can be celebrated here. Mr. Sushi is my holy grail and i will stand by that forever.

Stopped here last night intrigued by the All You Can Eat Sushi sign. We sat there for about 10 minutes expecting someone to come over and explain what to do to us, after no one stopped by the table we just started x-ing things off and seemed to do it right because the food came out. The cream cheese wontons were the BEST i've ever had, we got multiple orders of them. Sushi was your standard sushi and I liked that it was unlimited. We spent $54 on 2 people for all you can eat sushi. The restaurant was relatively busy but our drinks never ran empty. We will definitely be back when in the mood for sushi, interested in trying more items on the menu.

Ever since Minado closed, I've been searching for the next best AYCE sushi spot. Minado was such a treat that Mr. Sushi doesn't even come close.. but it does fill the hole for now and the best in the area I've tried. It is significantly better than Oki Sushi. We stopped by around 6pm on a Saturday without reservations and were promptly seated at the bar. Dinner runs you $26.95 per adult these days, and honestly for the quality of the sushi for buffet I absolutely think it's worth it. As compared to Oki sushi for example, the appetizers are much better. We enjoyed everything we got between gyoza, fried calamari, agedashi tofu and chicken katsu. They've got their frying game down, everything was perfectly fried and delicious. No it's not traditional authentic age-dashi tofu but it'll hit the spot. The udon and sushi burrito are relatively big portions, so just keep that in mind. The quality of the sushi and the special rolls was solid considering buffet. My favorite roll was the Fantastic Roll. The one thing I would not recommend is the tapioca coconut dessert soup. Disgusting. It was lumpy and gross bc the tapioca gelatinized throughout the soup and was flavorless. Overall I would definitely recommend Mr. Sushi for your AYCE in the greater Philadelphia area. Service was friendly and very attentive, I would tip them standard and not your buffet prices imo!

10/10 would come here for their AYCE, great deal!!!!!! I think it's $26.95 for dinner time? I don't think you'll get a better deal for this price on a Friday night. Came here with my family and we made a reservation in advance, I would suggest doing this as there is a long wait. I think there were people waiting for over an hour for walk ins. The food quality was good and they had a variety of options for their AYCE menu, not just sushi. There was fried rice, some appetizers, ramen, hibachi, etc. we focused mainly on the sushi though. I will say that the service is WONDERFUL!!! Despite how busy they are, their waiters and waitresses are very kind and attentive. I would come back here again just to get the same server that we had. She was so kind and patient with us, with our many requests lol. Unfortunately, do not know her name! The inside is busy and a bit loud, but clean and a nice place to eat. Will for sure be coming back here next time any of my friends or family want to do an AYCE sushi night.

I can taste the freshness of the sushi and appetizers I receive! Plus they have bubble tea! What a bonus! The atmosphere is welcoming and the waiter and waitress are nice. I get really thirsty a lot so it is a good thing they come by ever so often to check on you :) I would recommended it to people to come for a night out or lunch! read more

This place is a must if you are looking for fresh fresh fresh all you can eat sushi. Portion size are great! Service is wonderful.. Prices are affordable. The place has just opened as of the date of this review, and you know how that goes, either the ownership goes over the top in the beginning or can't get out of their own way. Right now, it's over the top. Let's hope it stays that way. I will be back as long as it stays just the way it is. read more

Our first visit here was on Xmas day. I called before I came in to verify their hours. We came in about 30 minutes before they stop taking orders. I got all you can eat, my girlfriend just ordered rolls. When the cook received our order tickets he got very upset, starting yelling in Chinese and made a little scene considering we were the only ones there. Not a great start, but then our food came out. It was all fantastic. The food and service was great. The angry cook was a little over the top, but I'm not deducting review stars for it. Next time, the plan is to order much less food and just order more as needed. Oh yeah, and not walk in near kitchen closing time. I should also mention that everything is made to order and the sushi is way better than buffet style sushi. read more

I've been here 3 times. The first two times blew me away. My expectations were blown out of the water. As an all you can eat sushi location, I understand it's sort of questionable. However, they have extremely good sushi. Their other food however missed the mark. I greatly enjoyed their bubble tea as well however, the second time I ordered it the boba was subpar and had no structure to it whatsoever. It wasn't squishy it simply melted in my mouth. This certainly isn't the worst thing but it's also not really what you're looking for when you're searching for 'good' boba. Regardless, it's one of my favorite spots for sushi, especially for the price. read more

I came here for my birthday and in terms of price, it was well worth it since they have a special deal for half off! All the sushi options were pretty standard and for AYCE quality and freshness, it definitely hits the spot. The only significant count against them was the tuna. One of my friends described it to taste like "lint" and that description was not too far off. Raw tuna is a staple of sushi places and for it to be in such a questionable state is off putting. However, the rest of the meal was quite enjoyable and I love that they have my favorite red bean ice cream as a dessert option! I would definitely come here again to fill my AYCE sushi cravings, especially if it's for a friend's birthday or my own. read more

This place sucked. We waited 1 hour for our first round of sushi and it wasn't even good. I know it's all you can eat but it was awful. Do not get the tuna, it tasted like trash. This was the worst sushi experience I've ever had and I've had discounted sushi from shoprite. on the bright side its BYOB, and you can google coupons. read more

Really wanted to like this place. Ordered a sashimi burrito that was supposed to have tuna and salmon inside. It was actually almost ALL kani salad which is cooked imitation crab. Who wants that? Wouldn't exchange or refund. Will not be returning. read more

If you're looking for a good AYCE place in the marlton/cherry hill area, Mr. Sushi is the place you're looking for! I'd travel from further if I had too. The service is always on point, even late at night, and the sushi is delicious. We live 5 minutes from sushi kingdom and gladly drive the extra 20 to go to Mr. Sushi. It's BYOB so bring your favorite wine or beverage as they are very helpful with opening them and serving. In multiple visits we have never been forgotten about or lacked on sushi and water. Of all the places we have tried, Mr. Sushi is at the top of our list! read more

Just had dinner here with my friends and it was great. The pricing per person for the all you can eat sushi was fair and the food delicious. Only giving 4 stars because the service was a little slow. I came here for my boyfriends birthday bc of the great reviews and the very expansive menu compared to other all you can eat places. I don't want to say we regret coming here because the sashimi and nigiri were pretty fresh. However, the rolls we ordered were very big. There were more rice than the actual filling. We had a table sit next to us that held up a roll that looked like there was 2 rolls combined into 1. We also ordered spicy mayo and ice cream but they forgot about it and we couldn't bother asking for it because we were so full from all the rice. If you're looking for a really good all you can eat place, I recommend going to Sushi House which is 10-15 minutes away. read more

I came here for a birthday party and I hope we didn't overwhelm them too much with our 25+ people party. But they provided amazing service and great food. The hibachi items on the all you can eat menu are sooo good! Especially the udon noodles but there were so many onions, I felt like I was Shrek eating them. The appetizers that I've gotten were calamari, dumplings, beef teriyaki sticks and fishballs. The breading on the calamari was crispy and fell off once you take one bite off of it. I don't think I liked the sauce that accompanied it so I used soy sauce instead. The dumplings weren't the greatest I've had since they were somewhat bland and tasted like chives. The beef teriyaki sticks were flavorful but also very chewy. The fishballs were great with soy sauce and wasabi and are good just by themselves. Nonetheless, I'm a fat butt and I eat a crap ton of appetizers. I ordered about 1 roll of tofu skin rolls, 1 california roll, 1 sweet potato roll, 1 shrimp roll and after that, I started to help finish other people's plates of sushi. The rolls were perfectly well made but the fried roll items had some avocado pieces that were mushy and brown and tasted disgusting. Overall, this place has great food for good prices and the service is amazing! I paid $29 for one person including tip. read more

It's used to be fantastic when they had a lot more selections than just the generic spicy tuna stuff. I remembered when the ingredients were a lot better and they didn't cheap out with various other ingredients, now it seems like the menu has been carefully combed over to maximize profits rather than actual taste and flavor. I would definitely give it a try but I wouldn't dismiss other places either. read more

At any place you go that is all you can eat... there is no fresh sushi, there is not top quality, there is nothing thats worth paying... although you get to fill your stomach with lot of rice or fried things. read more

Mr Sushi is definitely my favorite All You Can Eat in the area. Although it's expensive, it's totally worth it. All of the All You Can Eat places around here are all about the same price, but I would highly recommend this one over the others because the service is great, the sushi is phenomenal and fresh, and the menu has so much more of a variety. I love the many appetizers and desserts you can choose from. Everything I've tried here has been a big hit! Love this place!! read more

The best Japanese restaurant!! We just returned from dinner at Mr. Sushi tonight. Let me first say that I have no interest in,nor do I know anyone associated with the restaurant. You might think I do by my raving about our dinner. We came fairly early,about 5:30 and we were seated quickly. The hostess was very friendly and our booth was comfortable. The restaurant itself is beautiful with a water feature wall and a calming,relaxed ambience. They brought us paper menus to fill out with what we'd like. So many choices!! The food was so delicious,not one item can I find any fault with. We had/shared hot and sour soup,ginger salad, spring rolls,chicken yakitori,age tofu,tempura veggies,teriyaki salmon,hibachi noodles and fried rice. I've never enjoyed fried rice so much! All the dishes were so flavorful and the salmon was amazing,moist and yummy on a bed of onions. And then the sushi! Shrimp tempura, banana tempura(yum!), spicy salmon and tuna. One wrapped in avocado slices. I can't remember what kind it was but it was delicious!!! The staff was very solicitous and friendly. We spoke to one of the owner/mgrs with a question and he also was very warm and welcoming. I can't say enough to recommend Mr. Sushi and I wish them all the success they deserve! read more

Fish is not that fresh. You get what you pay for. Ordered salmon avo, eel avo, tuna avo roll, spicy girl roll and some shashimis. They do put big portions of fish in the rolls but they don't taste good. The rice was not sticky and seems like cheap or unfresh rice. The wasabi was bright green so prob made from powder. The eel shashimi was the most disappointing. It was a bit chewy and slimy. read more

They rushed the pre-made food out. Anything with meat had too much salt, was dry and overcooked. I guess the point was so you can not eat more than one order. They did not bother to let the oil drained from the fried foods. the sushi was not fresh. Nothing worse than fake yellowtail. The quality of food was below average. I had no problem paying the bill. I had a problem with them charging me $3 for terrible food that I could not eat. We did not take leftovers with us. I am ASIAN and I love sushi. So I wanted to update my review on this place after I went here a second time. Went here for my son's birthday with a party of nine people. Originally, we thought about going to Cheesecake Factory (CCF) across the street, even attempted to put in a reservation early in the week, however, they said they didn't take reservations. When we arrived at CCF there was a 1hr45min wait, seriously?!?! I immediately called Mr. Sushi, they said they could definitely seat my party immediately. So thank you! This has to be one of the freshest sushi spots, the fish is really great quality which is extremely important to sushi lovers, it's really hard to give a sushi place 5 stars but this deserves it. My friend never had raw sushi and the idea of having it was something she was scared about but this place changed the way she felt about it and now it may even be her thing. I loved every roll we got even the ones I wasn't so sure about. If you haven't given raw sushi a try you should at least go to a place where you won't get sick and actually give it a chance at Mr Sushi. You'll thank me later. read more

This place is amazing. I came here with a large party (8 people) and they accommodated our reservation with great hospitality. We felt welcomed and valued, despite how busy it was. The service was fantastic during the meal, and the food was absolutely stunning. This is a great place to bring a romantic date, as well. The atmosphere is gorgeous for a nice evening dinner. The fried ice cream is also extremely fresh and flavorful; you can tell that they take their food seriously, and you can just feel the sense of success in the restaurant. I went here 5 times last year. 1st order is always the big portions with big cuts of raw fish. Then 2nd order they cut 1 salmon or tuna in to 4 pieces. Very stingy and the workers do not pay attention when customers need to order again.
